Recap
- Darcy pushing Lyn, trying to leave the Kennedys
- Lou telling Ruby that she is bad news, and to keep away from Harold
- Lyn getting a blurred look of Darcy after knocking her over
Lyn and Ruby walk back into the coffee shop, with Lyn saying that she and Joe have decided on 'Rose Pink' for the baby's room. Harold notices Ruby and smiles saying no wonder she was so long. He asks what they were up to, and Ruby gives Lyn a frantic look... but Lyn admits that they were at the market and took Harvey with them. Harold offers them a cuppa, and they sit down. Ruby thanks Lyn for not saying anything, and that she wasn't ready for another confession; it's not what Harold needs. Lyn reaches for her hand and tells that technically she did nothing wrong.
Since Valda has left Ramsay St. Lou's takings have been down at the pub; so he decides to start his 'Wild Wild West' theme. He dresses Nina up in this country outfit, and asks her to sing country and western. She refuses, saying that she cannot sing that type of music, and is more comfortable with her own theme. Lou however, puts his foot down and insists that if she won't someone else will.
Gino finally runs into Joe and begins warming to him. Joe looks bewildered, and Gino says that since he is so close to him, he can come in for a free cut and colour anytime he wants to. Joe informs him that Lyn already does it and thanks him anyway. Gino forces a smile, and looks put out.
Harold finds the gambling brochure in Ruby's bag, and when Ruby comes in with some more orders, she looks at Harold and freezes. Harold shakes his head and says that she was getting better, but Ruby assures him that she took a brochure, but didn't go in. She was thinking about it, but Lyn threw her a lifeline... after all, she knows that Ruby is innocent. Harold sighs in relief and both pieces of news and says that eventually everyone else will be convinced.
After Nina's country and western show the crowd begins to applaud and yell 'yahoo' Nina gives a hesitant 'yahoo' and walks off the stage. Lou beams at her at tells her that she was great. Nina asks if she can do her own sat now, but Lou doesn't let her. He also offers to play something like a harmonica, banjo to keep the country feel, and Nina just rolls her eyes.
Lyn is heading to the surgery to get a prescription, however she bumps into Darcy. Her mind then wanders back to when she was knocked over. Lyn turns pale and Darcy asks if she was alright, and guides her to a chair; but when Darcy has his back turned looking for Lyn's prescription, she sneaks out of the surgery, leaving Darcy confused.
Gino asks Harold for his help in picking a cake. He then turns around and notices the pictures of 'afro Harold' he created, around the coffee shop as a marketing ploy. He demands that he get some of the profits, but Harold challenges him saying that it was a virus that sent it to all of his consumers and he shouldn't be fiddling around with them in the first place. Gino becomes livid calling Harold an uncharitable, scarlet man; which Harold doesn't take to kindly to. He comes back with calling Gino a no good, pushy busybody, and Gino says that he will take his business elsewhere. Ruby breaks them up. She says that they both even if Gino gets his cake free and asks what kind of coffee they want. Gino nudges Harold and ask since when was Ruby a firecracker.
Joe suggests Lyn is going through some post-dramatic stress. She tells him that she is fine and she knows what she saw just not who to tell; the police, Darcy or Karl and Susan. Joe admits that it is unbelievable because Darcy looked after her. Lyn practically begs him that she know what she saw. Joe advises that she sleeps on it, and if she still feels confident, he will back her 100%. She shakes her head and says that she is confident now... and that she is going for a walk. He calls out to her, but she doesn't reply.
Nina is complaining to Jack on her mobile phone, saying that she would rather do her trigonometry than sing this country and western. He then says something about her looking cute and she says that he is horrible, and hangs up the phone when she sees Lou coming. He gives her a card saying Melody Jones. He tells her that she is an agent and he saw her sing, and left her card with him. Nina is on cloud nine.
Gino enters the Scully house and finds Joe about to paint. He gives Joe the cake and some monster rally tickets. Joe is shocked and says that he has got the wrong person, but Gino wants to get Joe some presents. Joe shakes his head and says that their little one is coming soon and if he doesn't hurry up and paint, she'll arrive before the wall dries.
Karl and Susan were talking about a previous dinner party when Lyn knocks on the door. Susan asks what is wrong and Lyn says that there is no easy way of saying this... but Darcy was the one that robbed them. Karl and Susan are both shocked and Lyn continues. 'I know it's not my mind... I know what I saw.' Susan begins to protest saying that he couldn't have because he saved her baby. Karl asks if she has gone to the police, and when Lyn says that she hasn't; Susan asks her not to, and Karl begins to talk about false accusations and how hurtful they are. Lyn becomes angry and says to look at Ruby; she didn't rob them and all the fingers are pointing at her. It was Darcy. Susan continues to defend him and Lyn just about screams that she knows what she saw! Susan actually shakes her head and turns her back on Lyn and Lyn looks quite hurt. Karl looks pensive, and Lyn says that she probably shouldn't have came, and leaves. Karl says that Lyn definitely saw someone, and she sounds so definite but Susan continues to defend Darcy. Karl says that it is best if they spoke to Darcy now.
Gino and Joe are painting together and Joe cannot handle it, and asks Gino to spill. Gino admits how much being the godfather would mean to him, as all his family is so far away and he wants the Scully baby to be a part of his life. Joe admits he has been there for Lyn and promises to give it serious thought. Lyn then comes in crying, telling Joe that she spoke to Karl and Susan but they didn't listen... let alone believe her. Gino says that he will put some tea on, but Lyn turns to Joe and says that she wants to go to the police now.
Karl and Susan go to the surgery and see Darcy. Karl tells him that Lyn has seen them, and says that he was the one that robs them. Darcy sighs and says that he thought this would happen because he was the first person Lyn saw when she woke up, and that the hypnosis may have had an effect on her. Susan says that Darcy has been in money trouble before, and her trust was broken, but Darcy promises he has changed, and become a better person. He looks at Susan and asks if she believes any of this? Susan smiles but Karl frowns.
Harold looks at a picture of Madge when Ruby comes in. He thanks Ruby for settling him down at the Coffee Shop and he now sees the funny side. She smiles at Madge's photo and comments that she was probably the feisty one. Harold looks at Ruby and tells her that she means more to him that she thinks. Ruby smiles and they kiss.
Darcy pops in to see Joe. Lyn is looking from in the car. Darcy says that what Lyn saw...well that he didn't rob the Kennedys. He offers to kindly explain to Lyn if she gets out of the car, but Joe shakes his head and coldly says that isn't a good idea. Joe gets in the car and Lyn says that Darcy really is something... lying to everyone about this, and letting Ruby take the fall. They drive off and Darcy watches with a nervous look on his face.
