Recap
- Stuart trying to wrangle the horse again when its owner succeeds in settling it down
- Max accusing Boyd of having been drinking and Boyd telling him to check with Steph that he hadn't been seeing as she was there at the party.
Hoylands
Max is trying to get Boyd out of bed and when Boyd finally does emerge he makes a crack asking if it is a crime to sleep in now. Max tells that he wants the car washed and the lawns mowed before lunch. Boyd complains but Max tells him not to push his luck. Boyd says that it was only a party but Max asks Boyd if he thinks it was fun for him waiting by the phone to see if the hospitals had called. Max tells him that he is too young to be going to adult parties and to be drinking, Boyd tells him that someone spilt beer on him, that is why he smelt of alcohol. Max tells Boyd that he needs the car in an hour. Max tells Boyd that there is a reason that there are age restrictions on alcohol consumption, that their bodies are not physically ready to handle the alcohol not to mention the long-term damage that can be done to the brain. Steph then comes in raving about the party but the mood soon changes. Steph confirms that Boyd was there at the party and that he wasn't drinking when Max asks her.
Surgery
Dee is looking at appointments at the reception desk and turns her mobile phone on to check her messages presumably. She then listens to the message that Toadie left the night before. She seems annoyed that she missed the message and then proceeds to dial a number.
Number 30
A phone is ringing and Toadie comes stumbling out from the direction of the bedrooms threw a house that is in a state that is deplorable to say the least. He goes looking for the phone trying to follow the sound of the ringing and tries to raise Stu who is asleep on the couch with the comment "Pamela Anderson Naked" so he can help him search for the phone. Toadie finds the phone but appears to have missed the call. Stuart by the way is sporting a lovely yellow streamer around the head together with some tastefully placed facial decorations (drawn on glasses and moustache). Toadie can't help but laugh.
Hoylands
Steph is trying to explain to Max why she didn't blow the whistle on Boyd the night before. She was trying to build some bridges and earn his respect. Steph apologises and says that she made a bad call. She quotes something from the book that she has been reading and then Max proceeds to criticise the book and saying that she should have known that he shouldn't have been there and sent him home. Steph offers to make it up to him by having breakfast with him but Max blows her off and says that he has things to do around the house.
Number 30
Toadie empties out an esky that is full of rubbish and tips it on its side as a seat. Stu says that he feels like something that Bob threw up but Toadie says that is what is in the hallway. There is a knock on the door and it is Lou wanting to do a check for damage after hearing about the party that they held. The two of them stand there trying to make it seem like they aren't home but in the end Lou calls out that he can hear them and they do Rock, Paper, Scissors to establish who has to answer the door. Toadie goes scissors and Stu goes rock so Toadie goes to answer the door but doesn't let Lou enter saying that by law he is required to give them 24 hours notice of any inspection. He then shuts the door and makes a crack about 4 years of law school and Stuart says that it was worth every penny. Stuart realises that he has a date with Kat rushing to try and clean himself up. The mirror has disappeared from the bathroom so he doesn't know about his facial decorations and Toadie pulls the streamer off his head and Stuart is good to go.
Outside the Hoylands
Boyd is just finishing washing the car as Steph comes past the end of the drive way walking Harvey. He calls out to her and tells her all the jobs that he has to do as a part of his punishment. He apologises for dobbing her in the night before and says that he didn't do it to get her into trouble. She says that she is wondering how long she will be in Max's bad books for and Boyd tells her that on the Max Hoyland scale she should be at least looking at 24 hours.
Outside Lassiters
Max is getting something out of the back of his car as Steph rides up on her motorbike. She asks if it has been a busy day and he says that it has been about the same as usual. She asks if he is free for lunch but in a very terse manner he says that he isn't free. Steph asks if she is supposed to grovel until he will speak to her again, he says that he expects her to back him up and not to undermine him. Steph says that she was just trying to do the right thing and then says that how about she waits until he decides that he is going to talk to her again that way she won't get in his way. She then puts her helmet back on and takes off.
Kennedys
Susan asks if Footy Training is finished and if he is up to a walk but he says that he isn't going to footy training. She makes fun of him for the fact that he is doing all sorts of things to "save himself for the game" Susan jokingly says that they should abstain the night before a game. Susan looks at her hands and Karl asks if she is missing her rings and she says that she is. She doesn't miss her engagement ring so much but her wedding ring considering that Karl put it on her finger twice. Karl says that it makes his blood boil that it is sitting in a pawn shop somewhere. Karl has a thoughtful look on his face
Outside In Ramsay Street
Lou is pottering about in his garden as Dee walks past on her way to Number 30. She tells Lou that she wanted to see what sort of state the boys heads were in after the night before. Lou says that it is great to have her back on the street again. He follows her all the way to the drive way and she asks if he is coming in and he says that now he is here he may as well say hello.
Number 30
Toadie seems to have started the cleaning process but stops in the middle of the lounge, garbage bag in hand. There is a knock at the door (Dee) and when Toadie discovers who it is he seems relieved that it isn't Lou but as soon as he opens the front door, Dee comes in closely followed by Lou. Dee apologises saying that Lou followed her. Toadie says that he is about to start cleaning the place when Lou seems disgusted by the state of it. Toadie tells Lou to trust him and Lou said that he thought he did that when he handed over the keys to the house. Lou angrily tells him that they have 24 hours to fix the problem or they are gone.
Coffee Shop
Stuart pays for a bottle of water and doesn't realise why one of the waiting customers is looking at him strangely. He thinks that his fly is open and remedies that problem and then goes and sits down. Susan comes in and talks to him and mentions that people are laughing at him and he says that he knows why and has taken care of the problem not realising that it isn't his fly that they are worried about, it is his face. Kat then comes through the door and asks Stu how the party was looking strangely at his face. Stuart suggests getting some food and going to the lake for the day but Kat says they should stay there so that she can show him off.
Lou's Place
Karl asks Lou's advice on a ring that presumably he wants to buy for Susan as a replacement for the ones that were stolen. Lou says that it is modest (the one that Karl has chosen) Karl says that it is just like her old one but Lou says that with jewellery bigger is better. Max is looking on with a particular look on his face and as Karl turns to leave, Max goes to the phone and tries to ring Steph but only succeeds in getting her voicemail and hangs up before leaving a message.
Number 30
Dee and Toadie are discussing some of the events of the party as Toadie attempts to start doing the dishes in order to make them both a coffee. She says that she didn't get the message until that morning because she had her phone switched off. She asks where Stuart and Connor are and Toadie says that Connor was last seen passed out by the pool and Stuart has gone on a date. Dee jokes that they have left him to be Sadie the cleaning lady. Toadie manages to convince Dee to stay and help him clean.
Outside the Coffee Shop:Stuart is telling Kat all about he and Flick while Kat is trying to keep a straight face and not laugh at Stuart with the facial decorations he is sporting. Stu asks what is going in saying that he isn't being paranoid and that people are definitely looking at them weird. Karl comes up and says that it is a good look for Stuart and that he didn't know that Stu required glasses. Stuart is sporting a bemused look on his face. Stuart then stands up to have a go at Karl after Karl makes a joke about Kat going out with Stu for a bet and then he finally sees a reflection of his face.
Number 30
Toadie and Dee are tackling the lounge room. Toadie says that disposable plates are a good idea but you still have to dispose of them. Dee spots a stain on the couch and asks Toadie if the stain is going to come out. They reminisce over how Dee tricked him into buying it. Dee tells him to sit down and that she has something to tell him before somebody else does. He figures out that it means that she has probably found someone else. He asks her not to bother telling him and assume that he isn't going to like it and just to leave it at that given that they have just spent the last few hours together.
Lou's Place
Karl shows Lou the ring that he has bought for Susan and Lou seems to think that he has made a good choice. Max comes out from the office asking about some problem that they had had with a supplier. Lou said that they got held up somewhere because of a motor vehicle accident involving a motor cyclist. Max gets his phone out of his pocket and dials it as he heads out the door.
Number 30
Toadie is taking some balloons down as Dee comes out wanting to know where Toadie keeps the CD's now, she couldn't find the rack. He said that is because it was hers and tells her to just put them down over on the desk.. Stuart then comes storming through the front door having a go at Toadie for letting him go out with the facial decorations.
Scullys
Boyd and Steph appear to be bonding as they wash the walls in the babies room in preparation. He asks her about some of the worst things that she did while she was younger. Max calls out for Steph having let himself in through the front door and Steph asks him what the matter is and he tells her about the bike accident and thinking it was her because she wasn't answering her phone. From the background Boyd pipes up saying that he was wrong and that they were off the hook quicker than he thought.
