At the pool
A lifeguard is running towards the end of the pool where Lori fell just as Taj surfaces, supporting Lori. Immediately he starts shouting for help and an ambulance. The lifeguard starts talking into his radio, giving details of where the accident has happened, whilst Taj calls for an ambulance again.
Erinsborough High
Jack is sitting on the stairs, slumped against the bars, when Nina walks past. He quickly gets up and asks her where she's been. Nina tells him he should probably go because she has work to do and she starts walking away. Jack jogs after her and asks her what the problem is, to which she replies, that he shouldn't be there - with her. That someone might see them. When Jack tries to blow off her concerns Nina tells him that Lori is still his girlfriend. Jack then tells her that he hasn't been able to stop thinking about her since lunch time. She also couldn't stop thinking about him. Jack then tries to kiss Nina, but she pulls away and says that they can't go behind anyone's back anymore. She suggests that he find Lori and walks away. Nina tells him to let her know when he's spoken to Lori. Jack relents and says he'll call Lori right then but Lori doesn't answer and Nina walks away as Jack calls after her, saying he'll talk to Lori first chance he got.
At the pool
Lori is lying on a stretcher with a neck brace on. The paramedics lift up the stretcher and Taj hovers around. He picks up both his and Lori's bag and walks alongside the paramedics to the ambulance.
Hoylands'
Summer is talking on the phone to her boss, who is obviously not happy with something she's done. He gives her a warning and Summer replies that she understands and won't let them down.
After she turns of the phone, Summer tells Boyd that he's put too much milk in the blender and that it'll overflow. Boyd ignores her and puts the machine on, and it overflows. While Summer is cleaning up the mess, he asks her what the warning was about and she tells him that her boss said she didn't deliver all the papers. But she had. Boyd says that someone must have mucked around with her delivery after she'd finished and they both come to the same conclusion - Jacinta. They agree that it was probably payback for the present they left on her doorstep, which Summer adds, was payback for bullying her. They start scheming for ways to get back at her. Summer suggests throwing a rock in her window and itchy powder, but Boyd tells her it's time they used their "noggin" (i.e. brain).
Hospital
Dee is at the administration area when Darcy walks in and tells her he's been looking for her. He shows her a letter, saying that it's from the Aurora club, requesting that he join. Dee is happy for him and tells him that he deserves it. Darcy is somewhat taken aback by that. Dee tells him that she hasn't forgotten everything he's done for her. Just as he is about to leave, Darcy is about to ask her a question but decides to he'll ask her later, and he walks away.
Scullys'
Lyn comes out of a room just as Joe is walking past, carrying paint and brushes. She asks him what he's doing and he tells her he was just getting a start on the baby's room. Lyn then says she hadn't realized they'd decided on a colour and asks Joe to show her the paint colour. He reluctantly shows her and it's blue. They start to bicker about the colour of the paint until they finally decide on a truce. Lyn tells him they'll go to the store together and choose a new colour. The only problem is Joe bought the paint from a sale and there are no refunds or exchanges. Joe walks to the bedroom, and Lyn follows.
Hospital
Darcy and Dee meet up again, during what looks like their rounds. Dee asks him what that question was that he was going to ask her. But just as he is about to ask her, Lori is brought in. Darcy is told the circumstances of the accident and a quick overview of Lori's vitals. He orders for her to be taken for an X-ray as soon as possible.
Scullys'
Lyn is sorting through a box of baby clothes and toys when Joe walks in. She tells him she's seeing if any of the baby stuff can be salvaged. The phone rings and Joe goes to answer it. Darcy is on the line and tells Joe about the accident. After he hangs up he tells Lyn, and they both head off to the hospital.
The lake
Nina is worried about how she is going to face Michelle and Lori after everything comes out into the open. Jack tells her that she's not in this alone, but she's not convinced. She tells him that everyone will think she's an evil witch because she's the girl and the girl always gets blamed. Jack then tells her that it doesn't matter, because they can't go on living a lie forever. Nina says that it's not a lie that she cares for Taj and Jack tells her she can go back to him if she wants to. She asks him if he'd let her and he says it's her choice, she can choose whomever she wants. Nina tells him that he is the one. They are about to kiss, when his mobile rings. It's Joe. He tells Jack that Lori has had an accident and that they were going to the hospital. Jack hangs up and tells Nina he has to go and runs off.
Hospital
Karl, Dee and Darcy are discussing Lori just as Lyn, Joe and Jack arrive. They give them a brief rundown of what they do know, which isn't much. Dee tells Jack to go into the room and Karl tells Joe and Lyn to give him a moment.
Lori's room
Jack walks into the room and gently touches Lori's face. Lori opens her eyes and asks Jack what's happening. He tries to comfort her, but Lori starts to panic. He tells her that she's had an accident.
Outside Jacinta's house
Summer is reading a letter about Jacinta, which Boyd wrote to give to Jacinta's parents anonymously. She tells Boyd that she thinks the itchy powder idea was better and that she feels like a dobber. Boyd argues, saying that Jacinta's parents have a right to know. But Summer thinks Jacinta will find out and she'll be dead and when Max finds out she'll be even more dead. Boyd tells her that Max would approve of them choosing the "mature response". And Summer says, just like his idea of putting "doggy doo" on Jacinta's doorstep.
In the pub
Darcy and Dee are talking about how much more difficult it is when they know the people they have to take care of. Darcy tells her that talking to someone who understands helps, Dee agrees. The conversation is quickly steered back to Darcy's unasked question. He tells her that the Aurora club induction letter was two weeks late and the induction dinner was that night. Dee is amused, but agrees to be his "renta date" for one night.
Hospital
Jack asks Lori what she remembers. Lori tells him that she only remembers mucking around with Taj and then waking up in the hospital. Jack touches her leg, then asks her whether he'd hurt her. She says she couldn't feel anything and asks him to touch her leg again. When she can't feel anything, Lori begins to panic and Jack calls Karl. After touching her legs and then her feet, Karl asks Lori whether she can feel anything, but she says she can't.
Hospital - Hallway
Taj arrives at the hospital and asks how Lori is and whether he can see her. Jack suddenly gets up and asks him where he's been. Taj tells him that he had to go down to the pool and give a statement. He then apologises and says that accident was his fault. Jack asks him what happened, and Taj tells him that he was chasing Lori and they were just mucking around. Jack gets a bit agro and pushes Taj. But he pulls away (or gets pushed away). He then tells Taj that if he wants to see Lori, he can. Nina arrives, and asks how Lori is. She offers to get coffee and asks Taj to come with her but he says he wants to see Lori. Joe tells him to see her later, Taj agrees, and walks away.
Hoylands'
Boyd is making another milkshake. And Summer tells him that Max is going to be very unhappy with them for finishing all the chocolate milk. Boyd and Summer then start talking about Jacinta, discussing various outcomes of her getting grounded. As they're talking they hear someone open the gate and they both assume it's Max. Boyd tells Summer to clean the mess while he runs interference. But when he goes to the door nobody is there. Summer finds the letter they'd left at Jacinta's place with a note from Jacinta.
Hospital
Lyn, Joe, Jack and Nina are waiting in the hallway. Lyn tells Nina that Lori will be grateful for having such loyal friends. Nina isn't so sure. Joe tells Jack to take it easy then he and Lyn go to have coffee. Jack tells Nina to go home and that there is nothing she can do. She tells him she wants to help and that she loves him, but he tells her that whatever there was between them is over.
Darcy's
Darcy is just about ready when Dee comes out of her room. He tells her she looks beautiful and she returns the compliment. Dee tries to get him to relax, but Darcy doesn't seem too sure of himself. Just as they're about to leave, the phone rings. Darcy tells Dee to let the machine get it, but she says it might be for her. Beating her to the phone he answers it then gives her the keys for the car, saying the call is for him. It's Sindi and she wants Toadie's phone number. Darcy tells her that Toadie isn't interested in her and then hangs up and follows Dee.
Hospital
Karl finishes taking Lori's blood pressure and tells her everything is normal. Lyn asks whether everything else was normal and Karl tells her so far, yes, but clearly something is wrong. Susan walks in with a bunch of flowers and a card from Nina. Joe asks why Nina didn't come, but Karl interrupts and tells them that Lori needs rest. Lyn offers to call Lori's parents, but Lori tells her not to. At least until they knew what was wrong. She then asks Jack to stay and Karl tells him there is a visitors' lounge down the hall. Lori asks Karl when she'll be able to feel her legs again. Jack tells her she'll be better soon, but Karl doesn't seem so enthusiastic and tells her they're going to have to wait until tomorrow. After Karl's gone, Lori asks Jack not to leave her and he tells her he won't.
