Day, School
After the fight between he and Taj, Jack storms out of the school with Lori chasing after him. He refuses to speak to her and leaves her behind in his wake. Meanwhile, still inside the school, Taj & Nina talk about their relationship problems. Nina cancels a mobile phone call (we see it is from Jack) and then apologises to Taj for her previous behaviour. "I really want you to know that I'm fully committed to you". Taj is rapt.
Day, Coffee Shop
Ruby is serving and being very careful and precise with change. Rosie comments to Harold in the background that she is working very hard to regain his trust. Harold speaks to Ruby and she accounts for a transaction. Harold tells her that she doesn't need to tell him everything, that he trusts her. She tells him that she feels that it is right to keep him informed. He then trusts her with the takings to deliver to the bank. She looks at the bag with some uncertainty.
Day, School
Nina and Taj continue their conversation and Nina tells him that she plans to return to the play. Her mobile phone rings again and she is reluctant to answer it. "It's only my mother." Taj tells her to answer it, and she then carries on a conversation with Jack, pretending that she is talking to her mother. Jack and she covertly arrange to meet that night at the Coffee Shop at closing time.
Afternoon, Building Site Connor is in charge in Joe's absence. The other workers take advantage of him and decide to leave early as it is one of their birthdays. Connor orders them to complete the day's work but they only laugh at him as they drive off.
Afternoon, Coffee Shop
Ruby arrives back from the bank with a surprise gift for Harold, a waterproof hanging radio for the shower. She then gives him a receipt of the bank deposit and despite Harold claiming it is not necessary, she implores him to look at it. She says that he may trust her, but she doesn't trust herself and wants to do everything right.
Afternoon, Pub
The workers are sitting in the garden when Connor arrives after completing their work. They make fun of him, calling him a "big boy executive type". Connor goes inside the pub and bumps into Lyn, who is sitting at the bar drinking a cherry topped "Shirley Temple" drink. She laughs about cravings. She also comments on how she saw the builders outside and how highly Joe thinks of them. After she leaves, Connor tells Lou about their lack of respect for him and Lou tells him to be strong as "no one likes a doormat".
Stock Shot establishing night at the Scully house
Lori is sewing unsuccessfully and she and Lyn banter about her lack of sewing skill. They discuss Nina and Lyn says that Lori is a good friend. Lyn also compliments Lori, saying she was a "rock" at the funeral and it meant a "great deal to me". Jack walks in and assumes that they are talking about him. He storms off but Lori catches him at the front door and gives him an ultimatum, "Fix up what is wrong with you or rethink our whole relationship."
Stock shot establishing Coffee Shop at night
Nina waits for Jack inside the coffee shop whilst Ruby drops some plates in the kitchen. Harold runs in and she says how nervous she is about her Gamblers Anonymous meeting the next day. Hal says he will go with her for support.
Night, Scully house
Lyn pushes Jack for information about his fight with Lori and he says that everyone expects so much of him for his soccer. And he hates soccer and feels everyone is being unfair and don't understand. In the background, Lori says she does understand and would he like to go for a walk and talk about it. Jack blows her off saying he has something to do. Lori is left feeling rejected as Jack leaves, Lyn tells her not to worry.
Night, Pub
The building boys are still drinking and Lou suggests to Connor that there will be several hangovers. Connor then changes the last drink to orange juice. Rosie walks in and orders a "double. I don't care what it is!" She tells Lou that she has been hauled over the coals by the Bishop and Archbishop and is awaiting her penalty over the breach of Ruby's trust.
Night, Coffee Shop
Jack arrives just as Harold and Ruby are leaving. He offers to close up if he and Nina could practice some lines. When Harold & Ruby leave, Jack asks if she split up with Taj. When she says no and counters with whether he split with Lori, he says "no....but I will if you want me to." Nina complains that she doesn't want that responsibility and pressure. It shouldn't be her decision. Jack has a go at Nina telling her that she needs to "take responsibility for your own actions."
Stock Shot establishing Ramsay St at night
Jack is running home when he is startled by Lori stepping out of the shadows, waiting for him. Jack apologises for his recent behaviour but is evasive about where he has been, but saying it is all sorted out now. He tells Lori that he just wants to be with her.
Stock shot establishing EHS in morning
Lori sees Nina in the corridor and is happy that Jack has sorted out his fight with Taj. This is her interpretation of what Jack was doing last night, but Nina knows better. Lori assures her that everything will be fine from now on. Meanwhile, we see Taj enter his classroom and exchange a frosty look with Jack, before he settles for a seat well away from him.
Day, Outside Hall
Harold is driving Ruby to her GA meeting. Ruby is nervous and has now decided to go in on her own. Harold tells her she is very brave to go alone. Ruby walks up the path and Harold drives away. As he turns the car around further up the road, he sees Ruby exiting the front door of the hall and run away, to his great disappointment.
