Chloe comes into the pub telling Steph and Libby she's waiting for Darcy and doesn't know where he is. Libby suggests she sit with them while she waits.
Karl and Susan discuss the wedding again and squabble about the details. When she ends up suggesting she might have to call a wedding planner, he thinks she's going too far.
Chloe has obviously told Steph and Libby a story about being mistaken for Darcy's mother and they laugh about it. Libby says it's great to see an older woman with a younger man. Chloe says not everyone accepts the age difference as well as Libby so Steph asks if it causes problems to their relationship. Chloe replies that it's only a problem for other people-he brings energy to her and she brings stability to him. When she says the age difference is a vital ingredient in their chemistry, Libby gives Steph a knowing look and says 'there you go.'
Summer is pestering Max to buy her a leather jacket exactly like Steph's. Max comments to Boyd that one minute she wants to be Renee Zellweger and the next Steph Scully. He talks to Boyd about the cricket match the following day and gives him his old lucky bat.
Chloe's still wondering where Darcy is. Libby asks what it's like dating her wayward cousin. Chloe tells them he pays more attention to his presentation than she does-carries three different after-shaves for three different parts of the day. Steph comments that she's glad she doesn't have a man in her life. She realises Libby's gone quiet and says she's sorry. Libby says it's OK but looks a bit shaky, then gulps and tells them Drew had more than his fair share of vanity. 'God help anyone who came between him and his hair-gel!'
Karl and Susan continue to discuss the wedding while on their walk, especially whether there should be 'hanky-panky'.
SUSAN: I read in a magazine that it's actually bad luck to-er-you know-before the wedding night.
KARL: Don't be silly. That's on the day, clause 73 of the superstitious bride's manual.
SUSAN: No, I think it would be a really nice gesture to make, no hanky panky until the big night.
KARL: You're frightening me-you joking?
SUSAN: Course I'm joking, d'you think I'm mad? Mind you, I think we could probably rein it in a bit. I'm a bit worried about your stamina.
KARL: Don't you worry about me-I'll be right.
He offers to show her his 'mouth-to-mouth' so she says he has to catch her first.KARL: Don't be ridiculous, I'm 47 years old, I don't do running.
They fall over a body - Darcy, lying on the ground of the car-park. Karl sends Susan to call an ambulance. She runs into he pub and tells Libby and Chloe. Chloe goes out to see him just as the ambulance arrives. Karl tells them he's been severely beaten about the ribs and face, but he's able to answer the ambulance men's questions. Karl says it could have been a lot worse, so he's lucky really and obviously put up a good fight.
Chloe says 'Why Karl? Who would do this?' Just then, Jordan arrives and seems upset. Karl leaves, saying the police will be there soon and might be able to provide some answers.
Summer's on the phone being interviewed/interviewing someone for a job. Max comes in and she tells him she might need a leather jacket, because it's a paper round and she might get cold. He tells the people she'll ring them later and talks to her about the operation she's due to have. She says she doesn't have time and puts up objections like bad food, big needles. Max realises Boyd has been teasing her and tells him not to, then starts to give him a talk about the cricket. Boyd is still very nervous.
Susan and Karl finish breakfast and she wants to go off to 'Anna and Aaron's' wedding-Gino has set up a wedding planning service and wants them to see his handiwork.
KARL: We're just going to gatecrash a complete stranger's wedding ceremony?
SUSAN: Don't be stupid, Karl-we're going to the reception as well.
KARL: We'll come across a couple of demented nuptial stalkers!'
SUSAN: Don't be so melodramatic, honestly. I can't wait to see what he's done with the camels and the trapeze.
KARL: What!
SUSAN: Gotcha!
The police are leaving just as Libby and Steph call to see Darcy. He has no idea who did it. Chloe arrives and is glad to see he's better. She's brought Jordan, who gives him a big bunch of flowers. They talk about the attack and the fact that the police are confident they'll find out who did it. He eventually asks when Jordan will drop the act-he tells Chloe she's threatened him twice and he thinks that makes her a pretty good suspect.
Libby and Steph pass the cricket and recognise Boyd. Summer spots them and gets them to stay and watch. Just after they arrive, Boyd has to go in and bat, when they need 5 runs off the last over. Boyd allows Daniel to make his fifty. They get the runs and win.
Summer tries to get Steph to chat to Max, after describing the jacket she wants to get. Steph and Libby laugh about everyone matchmaking.
Boyd afterwards apologises to Daniel for making the call. Daniel says it's fine and asks him if he can give him some advice about girls as since he spoke up about Heather all the girls are keen on him.
To Karl's horror, Susan receives a call from Gino to go to see another wedding the following day. Despite his begging she agrees they'll go.
Jordan has run off and Chloe's angry because Darcy accused her. They are still argueing about it and Chloe's very upset when Jordan comes back in and although Chloe tells her she knows she's telling the truth, says 'The guy promised he'd only scare him'.
