Recap
- Flick offers Steph some tickets to the Grand Prix.
- Libby realises Susan has gone to find her old friends, so Karl calls the police.
Number 28
Darcy can't understand why the police are searching around the house for Susan, but Karl explains that it's part of their procedure. Darcy thinks they should be contacting her old friends, while Karl digs out a photo for the police. As the police leaves, Carmel arrives, wondering what all the fuss is for.
Number 22
Steph has asked Flick to come over so she can give back the Grand Prix tickets. Flick wanted her sister to have them, but Steph reiterates that it's not going to change things between them. Flick admits she made a mistake in thinking Steph would accept them, to which Steph agrees.
Number 28
While Karl frets about where Susan has got to, Carmel suggests they approach the situation logically, making a list of all the places Susan could've got to and then splitting up to look. Karl points out that given the amnesia, any place Susan liked in the last 30 years won't exist to her anymore.
KARL: We don't know what she likes or dislikes, with one exception, we know I head her list of dislikes.
Darcy reckons the photos might prove the key. Carmel recognises some of the people, but struggles to remember the names. Carmel wonders if Liz could help, but Karl doesn't reckon so, and points out to Carmel that she is the only person who knew Susan when she was sixteen.
Bush
Stuart is dropped off by the army trucks at his start point for the orienteering, and left to get on with it.
Coffee Shop
Darcy pops by to ask Penny if they can meet at the pub rather than Lanzinni's though she doesn't seem to mind too much. Harold asks how she is, and she admits she's still a little ill though it turned out to be food poisoning rather than a virus. As some customers ears prick up, Harold loudly explains how she couldn't have caught it from the Coffee Shop.
Number 28
Carmel is busy trying to remember the names of Susan's school friends from the photo Darcy found, but eventually remembers the lady in question moved to the States. Carmel remembers how Susan was quite rebellious when she was young, and would often be grounded, though it wouldn't stop her sneaking out of her bedroom window to go to gigs. As she reminisces, Carmel becomes sidetracked by stories of how much of a handful Darcy was as a baby, causing Karl to snap and insist that she doesn't seem to realise the seriousness of the situation. Carmel, however, is quick to judge Karl back, criticising that he should've taken better care of Susan.
Coffee Shop
Flick is run off her feet with waitressing, when an impatient customer becomes rude. As Steph goes to leave, she stands up for her sister and tells the customer to be patient.
Bush
Stuart continues to run about the bush clad in army gear, jumping over random logs and branches.
Lou's Place
Flick comes over to thank Steph for dealing with the rude customer. Steph doesn't want to accept the thanks, though Flick still goes to the bar to buy her sister a drink.
Coffee Shop
Carmel comes by for a strong coffee and chocolate cake. Penny twigs that she's having a bad day, and Carmel confesses that it's the 'in-laws'. Penny admits she's meeting her in-laws later too, but she's really nervous about it. Carmel wonders why and Penny lists of a long list of all her faults. She thinks she's clumsy, hopeless at everything, unable to hold down a job and terrible with men. It isn't until Penny mentions Darcy, that Carmel makes the connection, and advises Penny to just be herself, without letting on who she is. Harold reappears with some burnt offerings from the kitchen, and Penny admits to being the cause, leaving Carmel amused.
Lou's Place
Flick comes back over with a drink for Steph, but Steph continues to be hostile. Flick isn't sure what else to do, and thought the ice was thawing between them at Michelle's party. Steph reveals that she was only nice as she didn't want to spoil Michelle's day, and admits that if someone told her she would never see her again, then she'd be relieved.
Bush
Stuart continues his mission, wading across a river up to his knees.
Number 28
Carmel arrives back and she and Karl apologise to one another, both admitting that stress took over and they didn't really mean what they said. Karl continues to be frustrated with the lack of news, and is not really sure what to do next. At that moment, Lyn and Joe arrive with some food. Karl introduces them to Carmel, who admits she is struggling to remember the names of Susan's old boyfriends. Lyn remembers a 'Craig' whom Susan mentioned when she was cutting her hair. This causes Carmel to remember that it was Craig Benson whom Susan was in love with for the six months around her sixteenth birthday. Lyn and Joe leave Karl and Carmel to look through the phone books.
Bush
Run, Stuart, run.
Number 26
Flick reveals to her parents that she's planning to go overseas. She's going to Seattle to visit Tad, and give Steph a break. She admits things aren't so good between her and Steph anymore. Joe suggests she sticks it out, and Lyn points out that running away doesn't help solve situations, but Flick reveals that it was Steph who asked her to leave. Lyn is shocked, but it is clear Flick is set on having some time away. Joe offers to lend her some money, but she'd rather have a lift to the airport, her flight leaves tonight.
Bush
Stuart is the first to arrive back at camp and is told he came very close to the course record.
Number 28
Darcy tries one of the numbers in the phone book, but hits a Colin rather than Craig. Karl is tired so Carmel and Darcy suggests he goes to rest, but he'd rather stay with them as they plough through the numerous C.Benson's in the phone book.
Lou's Place
Penny arrives to find Darcy on his own. He informs her that there is still no word of Susan, and she admits that she's quite scared of meeting his mum. Carmel arrives back and reveals to Darcy that the two ladies have already met. Recalling the list of faults that Penny told her about earlier, it seems Carmel isn't too impressed. Darcy encourages the ladies to sit down while he gets some drinks, but Carmel decides not to stay; claiming she is too worried about Susan.
Number 26
Joe and Lyn arrive home from the airport to find Steph at home. Joe reveals that Flick is now on her way to the States, and Steph is shocked to hear how far she has gone. Lyn can't but help feel upset at the fact one of her children is on the other side of the world, but Steph stands by her ground that she has a right to be annoyed at her sister, given the state of events. Joe points out that the trip will probably help Flick to grow up a bit, but admits he is still worried about her. Lyn can't handle the argument any longer and heads off to make dinner. Joe asks Steph to stay, but she admits she doesn't feel welcome anymore and heads off.
