Recap
Darcy winning the vote to become cricket captain.
Serena asking Karl out for a drink while he takes her home.
Ramsay Street
Lou asks Maggie for a favour - if Emily can come across to play with Lolly since she is home for the day.
Drew & Libby's place
Paul is over to help Drew sort out the magazine as he patiently waits for his exam results while bemoaning at his footy hopes being down the drain too.
The Coffee Shop
Darcy is still going on about how good Serena is but Karl doesn't want to rush into offering her the position.
Surgery
Serena is out at the post office as Karl and Darcy finish with their patients but the one Darcy just saw is a bit confused about something so Karl takes him into his office.
The Coffee Shop
Joel is telling Dione about his latest dive and how good it was and hands her a shell he found when diving and she thanks him. Joel then thanks her for her help in changing his attitude of late and that he has only 3 more dives before he can get his certificate to hopefully go work with Vernon.
Drew & Libby's place
Paul is over with his bike to get Drew's help to fix it when the phone rings. It's Scotty, so Drew takes the opportunity to ask for some of the money back given they had to fork out to get the magazine cover reprinted and obviously isn't impressed when it sounds like Scotty is stalling at repaying the $10k back.
Surgery
The patient Karl was explaining things to is now happy but Darcy isn't at seeing Karl explain things to his patient. Karl explains that Darcy was busy while he was quiet and could spare the time and reminds Darcy that time with patients is good. Karl then comments that Serena is taking her time at the post office and wants again to re-think about offering the receptionist position to her.
The Coffee Shop
Dee is looking through Joel's book about sea life and is mightily impressed. Joel starts rabbiting on about it and suggests he teaches her to dive. Dee asks if this is his new chat up line!
Oval
Leo takes some practice swings from Evan while they wait for Joe and Karl to turn up.
Nearby we see Paul taking footy practice with the kids as some random parent has a go at his kid for not putting enough effort into what Paul is asking them to do.
No. 22 backyard
Lou shows Lolly the cubby he built and Emily shows her the insides. Lou admits to Maggie he's nervous about spending time with is own daughter and she tells him to enjoy the time.
No. 30 backyard
Joel is teaching Dione how to use the mouthpiece and she comments it is easier than she thought. The two of them are bantering like they used to. Joel picks up the change in her - she seems very relaxed and she replies that she's dealt with her past but doesn't want to say more.
Oval
Darcy announces he'll be leading the players in a fitness session and Karl comments that it wasn't like this with Joe! Darcy then says he'll assign positions once he's assessed everyone and Karl thinks he'll be sent back to the pavilion. Warm-up over, Leo goes to throw the ball to someone and Darcy chastises him for this saying he could have hurt someone.
No. 32
Emily and Lolly play with their dolls as Maggie shows off her cake baking skills to Lou but he is more concerned about the remark Lolly made as she and Emily make their way out to the backyard (Lolly said she was going to Disneyland).
Lou's Place
Drew buys Karl a drink and tells him without naming names that he feels he's about to be let down by a mate. They hear laughter going on in the background and Karl sarcastically comments that it must be another cricketing antidote.
They start to talk about something more serious - raising sponsorship to get new gear and Darcy mentions he has a mate (Karl sarcastically asks if it is Victor!) that has a scheme where you get a great return for your money regardless of the investment. Finally he reveals that the scheme is investing in Australian films and again Karl is straight in with the sarcastic comments when he says that he thought Darcy would have had enough of business schemes!
Oval
Paul calls time to the training session and again the random parent has a go at his kid. Paul tells the parent not to talk like that and reminds him that he is the coach. "And not much of one in my opinion," replies the random parent. Paul then kicks the ball high up into the air and the Stuart (the kid being hassled by his dad) catches it perfectly.
Lou's Place
Darcy asks if Karl liked the training session before telling him that he'll be better as a back-up bowler than a main bowler. Karl isn't exactly overjoyed and asks what's next - does he carry the oranges? Darcy goes straight to the point - there are players with a better arm aka himself! Karl politely tells him that he is a master at looking after number one before the have a little tit-for-tat session over the film investment.
The Coffee Shop
Joel and Dione are still getting on very well and she tells him that she'll be a hard-working student over the diving. Dee comments that Vernon seems to have a set routine in that he does a salvage dive before the scientific research commences, which Joel hadn't picked up on before.
Oval
Paul tidies up the equipment and tells the random parent that it is a pain when parents butt into training sessions and at the kids age, training should be fun. Paul then explains to the random parent also that he's played for the Dingo's and so does know what he's talking about and is stunned when the random parent reveals he knows what he's talking about too...because he is a talent scout for the national league!
The Coffee Shop
Evan confides in Harold that he feels Maggie giving up Uni is the wrong way to do it and Harold tries to play devil's advocate with him. Evan thanks Harold for his help.
Lou's Place
Lou is on the phone to the investor talking about the report on the Allens and the fact it came up clean and it is suggested that they then make up something.
