Recap
Matt's disastrous rebuttal of Flick during the Barmaid comp
Joe loses control of the truck while Tad shouts "Joe" over and over in a rather futile motion
On The Road Again
The truck has come to a stop at the side on the road. Joe helps Tad out and he drops down on the verge. He has a gash on his forehead and asks what happened. Joe says he hit his head and the ambulance is on its way. Joe tells him not to move and promises he'll be fine.
A Good Hair Day
Flick feels she is stuck in a rut and Lyn tells her to pipe down and do her work. Steph and Mitch come in, having had a fun trip. Lyn tries to get Flick to make some coffee for them but she can't as there was a 'bug over in the machine' this morning. Steph and Mitch are fine anyway. Mitch's phone rings and Flick and Lyn hear about Steph's non-date as Mitch takes the call. Steph says he's a good rider. Mitch has to attend to some business but tells Steph he'll see her at the pub later on.
Libby and Drew's Flat
Libby tries to take a photo of ShirtlessDrew (these Oakey boys are always losing their tops!) but Drew isn't having it. Libby's just doing it in the name of journalism. The human body is a beautiful thing! Drew loses his towel as he tries to run away and Libby takes a photo, chuckling to herself.
The Coffee Shop
Matt tells Michelle that he won a hair treatment and pedicure at A Good Hair Day. Michelle would pay to see that. Lyn dashes in and tells Harold there's been an accident.
Number 24
It's evening. Harold and the entire Scully family gather round Tad to fuss over him. Tad has a mild concussion and Harold has to keep an eye out for dizziness over the next few days. Joe is fine - he just has to tell Mitch about the truck. The haul hasn't reached its destination yet, although the truck is physically fine. Mitch is going to go off his nut.
Number 26
Mitch takes the last few details and tells Joe to rest up and not stress. He'll smooth it over with the boss. Lyn says Mitch is welcome to dinner (and Steph won't cook!). He leaves and Lynnie hugs Joe.
Erinsborough Hospital
Drew and Libby are attending an ante-natal class. Libby is trying not to laugh at the leader, Gavin Horne's, speech. Drew warns her not to publish the centrefold pic of him in the mag, he'll take her for all she's got.
LIBBY: I love it when you talk about suing me when I'm preparing my pelvis.
Drew reminds her that it's pointless as she's having a caesarean. They're told to finish their breathing exercises but Libby is still doing them - she can feel something. It feels tight, like a contraction. Drew calls Gavin over and tells him they've been warned about Libby going into premature labour.
Number 24
Tad has a bit of a headache but is alright. But Harold had better not offer him more tea. Flick tells him to be grateful as he's always giving Harold scares, which she rolls off for him. Harold calls over to him about more tea but Tad graciously declines.
Michelle goes to talk to Harold and says she hasn't found out much about the lake guy, Percival Ramsbottom. She's sure there's plenty they can do.
Erinsborough Hospital
Drew calls their doc and explains the situation. Libby thinks the contractions have stopped. Drew puts Gavin on to talk to the doc.
Lou's Place
Matt has his Barmaid of the Year comp certificate displayed and he tells Mitch and Steph about his prize. He thinks it might be nice, getting pampered for a while. Steph thinks Flick will be excited about it too and Matt pretends he forgot she worked there - what a coincidence.
Mitch and Steph sit down as Steph remarks about Matt's transparency. Mitch thinks it's easy to get stuck on a member of the Scully family, so he can't blame him. Steph asks what exactly Mitch was doing today. He doesn't want to bore her. Steph asks about how his boss took the news of Joe's accident. He was okay and knows Joe didn't mean it. Steph thanks him for being amazing about it all. He asks her what she thought he would do - "beat the life out of him in front of his family?" Better to get him alone for that. Steph looks takenaback (like she's just realised that Mitch does rather look like one of the robbers from Home Alones 1 and 2).
Libby and Drew's Flat
Libby feels a bit stupid about what happened tonight but Drew assures her she wasn't - they'll have a few more Braxton-Hicks moments. Drew says they have to be careful though. He loves both of them and they'll get through this.
Number 26
Michelle tells her parents some useless info about Percival Ramsbottom. She goes off to bed and Lyn suggests Joe does the same. He's angry about his silly driving and Lyn tells him not to blame himself. Joe says it's all his fault. He's having problems with his eyes. He's been putting off getting them checked. Lyn sees this as a warning: he has to go to Karl tomorrow. Joe says he'll bite the bullet and do it first thing.
Later at Number 26
Later on, Steph thanks Mitch for the drink and invites him in. He'd rather not. He tells her that he likes her a lot. She tells him she knows how these talks turn out. He's being upfront and hopes she will be too. She says she likes him too. Mitch tells her there are things about him she wouldn't like so much and she thinks everyone has their faults. Mitch is what he is. He kisses her cheek and leaves.
Libby and Drew's Flat
Libby's magazines have arrived. Drew's very proud of her. The phone rings: it's Nadia and it doesn't seem to be good news. Nadia has been offered a job with the Chronicle as the editor of the new weekly magazine. The mag is to be called Demo: she's stolen Libby's idea.
A Good Hair Day
Harold brings in some coffees - Lyn's taken to ordering coffee in as Flick's so darn slow. Matt shows Flick his voucher for his free treatment. Lyn tells Flick to do the shampoo. Joe's fixed the shelving and Flick makes more disparaging comments about hairdressing, leading Joe to tell her to pull her head in. Hairdressing might not mean much to her but it does to Lyn. Flick says sorry.
JOE: Don't be sorry - be better.
Outside Coffee Shop
Joe asks Harold about Tad, who's fine. Joe says he's special to him, with Jack away and all.
Mitch appears, looking moody. There's bad news about the accident: the truck wasn't insured so they can't pay him for the job and he can't get any more work with the company. Joe asks why it wasn't insured. What kind of dodgy company is this? Mitch says there are complications which he doesn't understand. They can't pay him and Joe shouldn't push it - he's lucky he got off with just a warning. Mitch walks off.
A Good Hair Day
Flick is washing Matt's hair and Lyn thinks she's doing a good job. Tad comes in to see Joe then walks over to Flick, changing places with her (unknown to Matt) and washes Matt's hair. Matt comments on his beautiful fingers. Matt is just about to ask 'Flick' out when Tad speaks and he realises what's happening. Matt is embarrassed to say the least.
Libby and Drew's Flat
Libby says the Chronicle must have got to Nadia and bought her out. Why else would they do this? Libby can't believe it - she can't put the magazine on the stands as the Chronicle are laying claim to the name and will sue. This is a disaster.
Number 26
Mitch asks Steph if she's ready to rock n roll. Steph's just getting her jacket and Mitch asks her if she's okay - is there something she wants to tell him? Steph says there's nothing, then backtracks - there is something she wants to say. She's not good at this, though... she reaches forward and plants a kiss on his lips. She looks at his face after she pulls away and apologises, starting to run off. But then Mitch grabs her arm and says he didn't quite catch it - could she repeat it for him? Steph smiles and they pash.
