At the trucks, the man in charge is briefing Evan on the latest with the search. Evan gets a call from Matt who tells him that Leo is on his way up, he tells the search man that Leo won't get in the way, and reassures Maggie that he only wants to help look as he feels responsible. Maggie starts to break down.

Emily tells her doll Molly that the people aren't coming back. She retreats back into the den and cuddles her doll.
Erinsborough Hospital
Darcy and Tess bump into each other in the corridor, he asks why she's there and she tells him she's visiting a friend who has just had surgery. Darcy makes a link between her friend and his patient, but Tess doesn't appear interested, and tries to rush off. Dee wanders past and invites Tess to meet up with her later, but Tess tells her she's busy and has to go. Dee wonders what she's done.
Number 26
Lyn gets off the phone to discover Gino is trying to persuade her clients to use a different hairdresser at the salon. Darcy pops over to see if they've heard any more news on Emily, but they have nothing to report. Joe tells how he asked the police if he could help, but they only wanted trained professionals. Darcy leaves, and Joe decides that his project for the day is going to be to try and catch the fox. Lyn asks what he's going to do with it once he's caught it.
JOE: You fancy a new fur, Lynnie?
Coffee Shop
Dee walks in to find Tess buying herself a take-away meal, and questions as to whether she was going out that night. Tess tells her that the meal has been cancelled, so Dee asks her what's going on. Tess denies anything, saying that she doesn't need to be at her beck and call.
DEE: We were friends, housemates. We told each other everything. What's gone wrong Tess?
Tess tells her to ask Darcy, and quickly hurries out.

The man in charge sits next to Maggie and hands her a cup of tea. He inquires as to why Emily might have run away, and suggests that Emily may not want to be found. He wonders if this is about the missing earrings or something else. A helicopter flies over the bush. Back at the site, the search teams are instructed on their new plan of action, to look and search everywhere, as she may be hiding from them. They are to work for one more hour, before scaling it back till first light again. Leo arrives, as the teams head out.
Number 30
Darcy apologises to Dee for not being able to take her to the nice cottage the coming weekend as he'd promised. He tells her that Karl has requested further money off him for the surgery as he still owes him. Dee tells him not to worry and starts wondering about Tess, as it's unusual to just switch off a friendship. Darcy suggests that maybe they've grown apart, but she tells him that Tess told her to ask him. Darcy makes out that he doesn't know anything, though he is clearly a bit apprehensive.

Evan and Maggie still continue to wonder why she might have run away. Evan tells the search leader that they'd never shouted at her. Suddenly Leo pipes up that he did yell at her, telling her she'd ruined everything. Maggie tells him that Emily knows they love her, but Leo admits that kids sometimes take things to literally. Leo and Evan join the search teams in the hope of finding her.
Bush
Leo and Evan are out with the teams searching for Em. The leader calls everyone around and instructs them to move onto the next segment. Leo stands to the side, yelling out in the hope of Emily hearing. He tells her not to be scared. Eventually, a little voice pops out, followed by Emily. Leo rushes to hug her. He tells her that he loves her.

Maggie is hanging around nervously. She is told that Emily has been found and bends down to allow Emily to run into her arms. They have a family hug, while the search leader watches on.
Erinsborough Hospital
Emily is sitting on a trolley waiting to be checked over. Maggie is hugging her tightly, asking why she ran away. Emily admits it was because she thought it was her fault they didn't have enough money to fix the car. Evan thanks the search leader for helping to find her. Emily tells her dolly Molly that they are not to run away again as it is too scary.
Number 32
Darcy assures Evan and Maggie that Emily is going to be fine, she has a healthy spirit, but just needs a lot of rest. He tells them he was sorry he was unable to help with the search. Matt mentions how he wished he could've helped search and he won't be staying back next time. Evan hopes that there won't be a next time. Evan asks Darcy for a favour, to talk to his science class about the science of medicine sometime, Darcy tells him he'd be glad to. Maggie answers the phone, it's Laura for Matt, she and Evan wonder if a reunion may be on the cards.
Number 26
Michelle tells Joe and Lyn about the nightmare she had about being caught in a fox trap. She asks if they can take the fox to the zoo or something, as the vet would just put it down. Joe reminds her that it's a feral creature that no one is going to want, and it's a fact of life that foxes eat chickens. She begins to realise that keeping chickens wasn't such a good idea and agrees to let them go to a farm.
Number 32
Evan is dancing around the living room doing an impression of Elvis. Maggie asks him to do 'love me tender' and they start getting soppy. Matt tells them to lay off, as he doesn't want to do it. Evan tells him that it's a fantastic idea. He and Maggie start getting enthusiastic and talk about how Matt could gel his hair and he wouldn't even have to sing as he could mime it.
MATT: Pardon me for existing here, and for having a say in how I live my life, but it does not, and will never include, dressing up like a dork and singing clichés from the 80s.
EVAN: 50s
MAGGIE: And right through to the 70s!
Matt tells them that when Laura rings back he is going to categorically tell her 'No'. Evan picks up on the fact that he hasn't said no yet, but Matt tells him how he tried, but she didn't listen.
EVAN: What happened to that wild, playful, uninhibited little boy, that you used to be
MATT: He grew up, and got real!
EVAN:... and oh, so conservative.
Maggie and Evan continue to tease Matt, and Evan starts his Elvis impressions again!
Number 22
Darcy is tidying up as there is a knock on the door. Tess comes around and asks if Darcy has said to Dee. Darcy tells her that they agreed to keep Dee out of 'this'. She tells him that that night obviously never meant anything to him, and asks for him to stop pushing his relationship with Dee in front of her face as it's hurtful. Darcy apologises, and goes onto explain that although that night meant a lot to him, it was a mistake and he thought that was how they were going to keep it.
TESS: Every time I get near Dee, I feel so guilty; and then I want to tell her but I can't, 'cause she's going to get hurt, and then, if I tell her I can't see you. I couldn't bear that. (He touches her shoulder) No, no, don't it's going to make things worse.
DARCY: Look, I thought a way through it would be to show Dee some attention, and that what we had, what happened between us, it would fade, but it hasn't, not at all.
They kiss.
Lou walks in to find them embraced, he coughs and informs them that he's had a good trip, and young Lolly is well. He goes to check on things down the pub. Tess claims that it was the most embarrassing moment of her life. Darcy tells her they can trust Lou to be discreet, but Tess tells him they shouldn't have to. Darcy admits that had it been just the once, they can forget it never happened, but twice, they have to take a good look at how they feel.
