- Toadie saying to Joel that if convicted his law career is finished.
- Lyn giving Flick a letter from Joel and Joe telling Lyn the phonecall didn't bring good news.
Flick is reading her letter from Joel – he's gone to London for Mal's wedding.
The phonecall was Jack's coach in England saying he has gone missing. Steph says it must be a girl while Lyn wonders if he was upset but Joe says the coach said nothing. Lyn goes to phone him.
Tess comes in to meet Dee for drinks and tells her about the flat she is going to be moving into. They ask Lou how he is after the funeral, but he says alright now.
Lyn says there is no answer and Lyn starts to worry. Steph says he might have gone fishing and goes to send him an email. They hear Flick crying in her bedroom. Lyn goes in to speak to her.
Toadie and Tad talk about Harold and Paul leaving for France. Tad wonders if he did the right thing but Toadie reassures him he did and says he's got the whole house to himself for the next fortnight. Toadie asks him to move in since he too is home alone.
Lyn is fretting over sending the email to Jack.
Flick has stopped crying and Steph goes in to talk to her. Flick thinks Joel has only broken it off because of Joe. Steph tries to talk logically to her about what Joel meant in the letter but Flick doesn't accept it and says she is siding with Joe and Lyn.
Steph and Flick still arguing over the letter. Steph is trying to tell her that Lyn and Joe do care about her and especially as it is her final year at school and if Joel cares he will wait until she has finished her exams. Flick isn't interested so Steph reminds her that Jack has gone missing, Woody is due to arrive and that Lyn is stressed about maybe losing her job.
Dee has accidentally spilt a drink and Lou comes over moaning about the mess whilst cleaning it up. Dee asks if his back is alright but he says it is Madge's death that is occupying his mind at the moment.
Flick is getting ready for school and ignoring Joe trying to talk to her. Flick asks Lyn if she has heard from Jack. She says no and asks if she is ok. Flick thinks it is strange that Jack has gone missing and that no news is good news. Steph comes in and reminds her parents that she is picking up Woody and is it still ok for him to stay. When Steph leaves Joe says to Lyn why can't they have normal kids with normal lives and normal boyfriends!
Dee is round discussing when she is moving into No. 30. Tad comes into the kitchen and Dee tells Tad he better not be late for Tess' class. Tad says he isn't going to school as he feels he isn't ready. Toadie and Dee try to encourage him to go back. Someone knocks at the door and Toadie goes to answer it. It is Sgt Douglas with a summons for him.
Tad comes back in dressed and Dee has made his breakfast for him. Toadie comes into the kitchen and shows them the summons to appear in court in two weeks time. He is panicking because he can't find a defence to use or a lawyer to defend him. Dee suggests various options but Toadie rules them out and says he will defend himself instead since he is a fool defending an idiotic charge.
Steph calls round with a delivery. Lou gingerly gets up to accept it and says it is the wrong part. Steph says that is what he asked for and Lou says she took it down wrong so Steph goes to phone in for a replacement. Whilst she is there, Steph asks Lou for a favour – a job for Woody. Lou says he needs to talk to Drew first.
Tad comes into class and tells Flick about the summons Toadie got. He tells her that he has temporarily moved into No. 30 and Flick asks if Joel makes contact can he tell her. Tad tells her he isn't her spy and asks how it is going with Joe. She says she is only biding her time.
Steph has arranged a replacement part but Lou apologises, saying he made the mistake. Steph asks if he is ok and he reassures her a good nights sleep is all that is needed. When Steph leaves Lou hunts out some painkillers he has hidden away. He goes to takes them but throws them into the sink instead.
Flick is asking Tad if she can study with him but he says no as he has a meeting at Hemisphere. Tad tells her the organisers aren't organised they are crusties: the type of guys Joe would love to see his daughters bring home. Flick readily agrees to go to Tad's meeting and Tad wonders what she is up to.
