Jess isn't keen on Tad's suggestions for the assignment and wonders why he chose her as a study partner. Tad tells her that he though she'd be fun to work with. He wonders where her parents are, Jess says visiting her other sister who is about to have a baby. Jess doesn't want to study and instead suggests they take her mum's car out for a drive.

Jess just doesn't like the play at all. Tad tells her to read it first and if she isn't interested in studying then he'll go home instead, after he's had a look at the tennis courts. She asks him to describe the play and Tad begins to but suggests they hire the film instead.

The Coffee Shop
Tad comes in to tell Paul how his afternoon went with Jess, but Paul doesn't quite believe him. Paul asks if he got his date and Tad tells him not yet but he wants to give it time first. He tells Paul that her family is very rich and that she was expelled from her last two schools. Paul tells him he's found the girl of his dreams!
Fergus is telling everyone about his luggage being lost – it ended up in Perth, WA and Fergus thought it was Perth in Scotland where he'd just come from. Libby comes over with some drinks and to everyone's amazement Fergus drinks it in one. Unfortunately the haggis won't arrive in time and says they will make their own one instead. Libby isn't looking forward to it.
Steph, Libby and Rose leave to go on a shopping trip just as Fergus calls round to see Karl and Susan. He wants to use Cassie for the haggis but Susan and Karl quickly put him off saying they can find the ingredients elsewhere. Fergus begins to go into detail as to how they use a sheep's stomach in a haggis and Susan, becoming a bit queasy, quickly changes the subject but Fergus says he will write it down for her.
Tad and Paul are discussing his driving lessons when Jess comes by to give Tad a lift to school in her mother's convertible and Paul says he will walk instead.
Susan is discussing ‘Cat On A Hot Tin Roof' with her English class. Jess is becoming very argumentative with Susan when she tries to get her to expand on her interpretation of the play.
Libby and Steph are showing off the results of their shopping trip when a parcel arrives for Libby from Mal and Catherine in London saying they will be the next to get married. Karl phones Libby to tell her that they've got the ingredients for the haggis.
Fergus is showing Karl how to prepare the ingredients for the haggis. Drew comes in and is given the liver to grate. Fergus starts to tell Drew that he's got to stand up to Libby once they are married but Drew quickly leaves to be sick.
Susan keeps Jess back after class to talk to her about but she walks away from her. Paul warns Tad to say away from Jess, as she is trouble.
The Kennedys and the Kirks are gathered waiting for the haggis, neeps and tatties (haggis, turnip and potatoes) to be served. Ron proposes a toast to the Kennedys and the Kirks and they all start singing “Scotland the Brave.”
