Lo-Tel Michelle and Bianca get a request to clean the windows at a scary house. Dione tells Joel that it's great that he respects her enough to be friends. Lou tells Merridy that he thinks he's fallen in love with her.
Merridy tells Lou that she feels the same way about him and has been waiting and hoping that he'd say something. He asks her if that means she'll stay. She tells him that she doesn't really have a choice, she's going away tomorrow and it can't be put off. She says she'll make some enquiries though and see what she can do. Later, Lou goes to see Harold and tells him what happened Merridy. Harold tries to make him feel better. Lou says he feels guilty asking her to give up on the job when he should have told her how he felt much earlier.
Michelle and Bianca discuss going back to the scary house. Bianca doesn't want to go but Michelle says they have to.
Joel and Dione are getting on very well, she's helping him study and when he gets a question right she gives him a kiss on the cheek. He starts to feel uncomfortable and Dione decides to go. At the Coffee Shop later, Joel talks to Teresa about his platonic relationship with Dione. She says it's a bit like her and Brendan. Joel tells her it's a great idea in principle, but in practice it sucks.
Susan talks to Tom, Karl's Dad, on the phone and persuades him to come to Drew and Libby's wedding.
Merridy goes to see Lou at the pub and tells him she's made a decision. They go somewhere quieter to talk. She tells him that her initial contract is for 6 months and then she gets a break - if they still feel the same about each other then, they can pick up where they left off. Lou seems to like the idea and they agree that their relationship should last the distance.
A man pursues Dione at Lassiters, asking her to have a drink with him and he gets nasty when she says no. She throws a drink in his face and then Harold comes over to find out what's going on. The man pushes Harold so he retaliates by using his judo skills to push the man to the ground. Everyone's impressed with Harold's moves, especially Dione, but he's more worried that he's used his judo skills for the wrong reasons and has gone against his nature as a pacifist.
At the scary house, Bianca and Michelle try to get a look through the windows while they wash them, but all the curtains are drawn. They start to hear someone playing a musical instrument inside. The music stops and Bianca wants to leave, Michelle says they've got to finish the job.
Bianca and Michelle finish the job and go to leave when they remember that they haven't been paid. Michelle knocks on the door but doesn't get a response - instead, an envelope comes underneath. They pick it up and it has something weird scribbled on it. Inside, they find their payment and a gold chain that's labelled 'for Michelle.' They get freaked out when the door sounds like it's about to open and they run off. As they do, the door opens and someone watches them leave.
