Ruth enquires what Anne is up to since she is up so early, she replies going for art supplies. She then asks Anne if she's looking forward to her 18th birthday party. Ruth asks Hannah if she wants to go shopping after school since they missed their shopping trip last week, which Hannah agrees to.
Madge enters with Harold having just come back from Queensland. She had a nice time but missed them both. Harold and Madge then dwell on Paul's forthcoming move to Port Lincoln.
Tad catches up with Paul and they talk about their love life. He says he won't let a girl come between mates again and indeed he's off girls from now on.
Toadie is cooking breakfast for Sarah and himself. They start talking about their ideal partners.
Jade comes up to apologise to Tad. He doesn't accept it and sends her off. He then announces he's had enough of Year 10 girls and wants to hang around Year 12 girls instead. Paul teases him by saying he knew he couldn't resist girls. Hannah walks by them and Paul just stares at her.
The Coffee Shop
Lou is moaning to Harold and Madge about the mix-up in the printing of his “Pear Passion” and how it is costing him a fortune. Madge says he shouldn't have got it done on the cheap. Lou retaliates by saying Harold shouldn't have her working today as she is just back. They talk about Paul leaving and Madge says she will have a word.
Amy comes into speak to Anne about having their own private party for her birthday. They discuss the guest list for the real party but Amy says she can't make it.
Jade and Hannah discuss Tad's treatment of her and Jade apologises again to Hannah for going out with Paul. They both agree they've had enough of boys unless it's Christian Slater or Brad Pitt.
Anne is trying to persuade Amy to come to the party, but she is reluctant because she feels awkward around Lance. Anne eventually tells her she is going and she's sure Lance will want her there anyway.
The Coffee Shop
Madge and Harold are trying to find out from Hannah reasons for Paul wanting to leave. She reassures him everything is fine at school and between them too. Paul comes in so Harold and Madge rush away and Paul is curious as to why. Hannah pacifies him and asks him out to lunch instead.
Phil is complaining to Lou about the lack of choices for lunch. Lou is still blaming the label mix-up for the sudden rush on food. He offers them a cheese sandwich, if he can find the cheese. Toadie comes over and Phil and Ruth congratulate him on getting his legal problems sorted out.
Paul and Hannah discuss their feelings towards their friendship. She asks hi why he is leaving, he says he wants to be with his dad.
Paul and Hannah arrive together and Jade asks Tad what is going on there, he's not sure. She goes into the classroom and Paul comes over. Tad asks him if he's having a relationship again with Hannah, he says no. In the classroom Jade asks the same question to Hannah, but she acts all coy.
The Coffee Shop
Tad enters the kitchen after his shift and Harold tells him he's paid off his debt. Tad asks for Paul's job when he leaves. Harold and Madge aren't sure if he really is going so can't make any promises.
Amy and Anne now enter discussing Amy's career. Amy asks if Damien can come to the party. Anne gives a false yes.
Ruth and Hannah are shopping and discussing how she's getting on with school and Paul since she came home. Ruth picks out a dress, which Hannah likes and she goes off to try it on.
Madge and Harold are discussing with Paul if he really wants to move to Port Lincoln. Madge says if he really wants to go then he can do so with her blessing. After Paul leaves, Harold and Madge hug and contact Social Services to let them know.
Hannah enters the living room showing off her new dress. Phil is glad that Ruth and Hannah are getting on again.
Paul comes over to give Hannah a letter to read that he wrote to her when she was in France but never sent it.
Madge comes off the phone to Social Services and relays to Harold what they said. They talk about the suggestion they may wish to foster again later, but neither can think about that as Paul leaving is like losing a son. Paul listens in unknown to them from the utility room.
