Also Leo is not into drinking with the other guys on the ship. Harold is very pleased.
No.30
Joel is on the phone to Geri making plans for the evening. Paul comes round to see Tad but he isn't in. Joel sees Paul's friendship bracelet from Jade. He says it sounds serious between them. Paul says that things have got a bit tricky - Hannah is coming home in a week. Joel asks him who he likes best - Jade or Hannah. Paul says he likes them both - it's hard because Hannah's not here and Jade is.
The Coffee Shop
Frances the librarian comes in. She gives Harold a trilogy of "South Sea Heat" books! Harold is very embarrassed and tries to tell her what happened. But just then Lou comes in and sees the trilogy. He teases Harold unmercifully about his love of stimulating literature(!). Frances is quite taken with Lou - she thought he was a fun guy.
Frances tells Harold that she's auditioning for the University Choral Society today. It's another interest the two of them have in common.
The Garage
Lou, Drew and Paul are having tea. Paul is cleaning bottles ready for bottling Pear Passion. Drew tells him not to be too hard on him - he's got girl problems. Lou says that Drew has girl problems too - he should give Libby a ring and he can even use the garage phone! Drew says Libby has gone to get away and wouldn't want him ringing her. Lou tells him the other option is to take a cold shower(!)
The Pub
Phil asks Ruth if she's organised anything at the pub for his birthday next week. Lou says that she hasn't.
Joel tells Drew that he's been looking miserable lately and he needs a good woman. He says Drew should hang out at University - he should do a part-time course(!). Drew says he's not in the market for a one-night stands. He says he's already found the right girl, she just hasn't rung him yet.
Martins
Ruth is on the phone to someone and telling them off. Phil comes in and thinks she's organising his birthday again.
The Coffee Shop
Frances comes in and says she made a fool of herself at the choir audition. She says she wanted to join because she's lonely - her husband died five years ago and her daughter lives in Sydney. She asks Harold if his wife is still away. She says she'd like to come round and prepare a meal for him and Paul one night. Harold tells her he's absolutely devoted to Madge. Frances says she can see that and he's perfectly safe.
Lou's
Drew is babysitting for Lolly. Paul comes round looking for Tad. Drew asks Paul if he's OK - he looks a bit down. He tells Drew he's scared to tell someone something. Drew says it's best to just tell them - the sooner the better. He says he should tell Hannah about Jade before she gets back.
The other problem is about Paul's dad. He's going to do the same thing - say what he thinks. Drew wishes he could take his own advice.
Later at Lou's
Drew tells Lou that he's going to stay in Erinsborough - if he goes back to Oakie he'll never know if he has a future with Libby. Lou and Lolly are very pleased. Lou tells him to give Libby a ring. Lou gets out a bottle of Pear Passion to celebrate!
Bishops
Paul is on the phone to Madge. Afterwards, he and Harold sit down to dinner. Paul tells Harold with some difficulty that he wants to go to live with his father. His father has put down a deposit on a house and Paul wants to join him there.
