Phil tells Ruth they could get married as early as next week. Phil says he doesn't care if she turns out to have cancer. Ruth says she doesn't want to be a burden but Phil says he wants to be there for her and that he loves her. Ruth agrees to bring the wedding forward. Phil is delighted!

The Coffee Shop
Amy invites Anne for a pyjama party for her birthday that night - girls only. Amy says her and Caitlin aren't really getting on but Anne asks her to bury the hatchet just for that evening. Amy agrees to come.

Harold asks Madge to come down to the allotment with him.

Harold and Madge spy on Lou using a metal detector!

Bill, Lance and Joel are hanging out. They are planning a boys' night in tonight with poker and a raunchy video for Lance's birthday!

The Coffee Shop
Phil and Ruth tell Susan and Lou that they've set a date for the wedding - next week! Phil and Ruth want a quiet wedding at home in the garden but Lou offers the use of Little Tommy Tucker's. Phil and Ruth aren't keen. Lou offers to do the catering anyway. Susan invites Ruth over for a chat later.

The Allotment
Madge and Harold are doing some gardening work. Madge is wondering what to do with the money they found on the allotment.

Kennedys
Bill, Lance and Joel are getting munchies together for their boys' night in. Libby is trying to finish an article for the paper.

Drew comes round to show Libby the paper - the editor who stole her story about the housing development has been nominated for an award! Libby is furious - he's going to get an award for an article she wrote!

Lily asks Anne if she feels any older. She gives Anne a Chinese box for her birthday.

Libby comes in and Lily gives her a present for helping her with exposing the housing development - a brooch. Libby tells them about the story being up for an award. Libby says she intends to tackle the editor about it.

Susan asks Ruth why she's brought the wedding forward. She tells Susan about the breast lump. Susan hugs her. Ruth worries that it isn't fair to marry Phil if she has cancer - she doesn't want to be a burden. Susan sympathises.

Caitlin is putting up balloons. Amy comes in and is distant with Caitlin. Caitlin says there's no point them fighting over a misunderstanding. Amy says she's just there for Anne. The other girls come in and they put a video on

The boys are playing poker and watching a video.

The girls are having a whale of a time playing truth or dare. Amy chooses dare. Caitlin dares her to go next door and steal Lance's ballroom dancing clothes. Amy isn't keen because she's wearing a slinky nightie but the other girls make her go!

Toadie arrives with pizza for the boys. They sing raucously and in the background Amy creeps past! The boys watch the video but catch sight of Amy on her way back out. They chase her and catch her at the door!

The girls are dancing. Bill and Toadie bring Amy in. They invite the girls to their party because theirs is a bit boring! The girls agree after making Bill and Toadie dance to their video!

The Pub
Ruth tells Phil the results of the biopsy might not come through until after the wedding. Phil says it doesn't matter. Ruth thanks Phil for being so supportive.

Kennedys
Libby is telling Susan that she stormed to the paper but the editor was out. Libby is tempted to quit the newspaper. She shows Susan the brooch that Lily gave her.

The boys and girls have combined their party. They are still playing truth or dare. Maddy dares Lance to kiss Caitlin. Caitlin says she's getting a cold, but they're not having any of it. Lance kisses Caitlin and Amy gets very upset and leaves the house crying. Bill sees her go and follows her out. Amy is crying. Bill tells her it's just a game and it doesn't mean anything. Amy says Lance can do what he wants. Bill says that she still likes Lance, doesn't she?
