Caitlin bumping into Anne at the pool.
Anne telling Toadie she doesn't like Caitlin.
Susan telling Billy, Toadie and Anne about the school merger.
Matt telling Sarah about his transfer and she could go with him.
Continuation from recap. Matt gives Sarah a load of reasons why she should move with him to the country, but she wants to know why he has chosen to go to Port Campbell. He says it's a great opportunity for him to get into real police work rather than go through months of directing traffic and working speed cameras in Erinsborough. She still isn't sure and they decide to go on a picnic together. Matt suggests they take the picnic with them and go to see what the place is like where he will be moving to.
Ben's car in a random car park
Caitlin tells Ben she's worried about him crashing when he races. Ben asks if he is missing his family, as he has been through the same thing. Caitlin can't understand why he had to leave them to go to Erinsborough, and isn't sure she is looking forward to meeting his biological mother Ruth. Ben tells her they will always be the proper family to him.
Ben and Caitlin arrive home, and Ben tells Sarah that Caitlin has got the racing bug now as well and the four of them are going to go racing together. Caitlin tells Sarah that's not what she said at all. Ben tells Matt he got another application so he can get his racing licence too, but he says he won't be following it up since he's moving away and Sarah might be going too. Ben is surprised at Sarah's sudden decision to move.
Marlene is dusting. Lou has found some more missing paperwork and is now confident about the audit saying people don't go to jail for being a couple of dollars out on their tax returns. Darren winds him up by telling him he has a mate who was like that and he now serves up the slop in the prison kitchen. Lou discovers some of his receipts have gone missing again and thinks Darren has hidden them as a joke, then he spots Lolly has them on the floor and is crayoning pictures on them. He starts worrying again about what will happen to him with the auditor, and Darren says his ‘mate' will look after him when he goes inside.
Billy comes over to visit Anne. They stand in the living room staring at Ruth on the sofa until she gets the hint they want to be alone, so she goes in the kitchen to start dinner. Billy apologises again for not showing enough concern earlier about the school merger, and now he realises how much it will affect Anne. She says she's already been through one change of school and she's now in the two most important years of her school life.
One of those complicated scenes where there are two things going on simultaneously. Matt brings in a tray of drinks and biscuits for Ben, Caitlin and Sarah, and Ben tries to explain to Matt the difference between Caitlin being part of his adopted family and Ruth being part of his biological family. At the same time Sarah is taking a phone call from Harold asking for Matt, she comes in a tells him and then sits down and Ben asks her if she's really ready to give everything up and move to the country. In the background we hear Matt talking to Harold about the street sign, and then he gets off the phone and says he is going across the road to see him. After he has gone Ben and Sarah continue the conversation, and Caitlin says if she loved someone she would go anywhere to be with him… as long as it was a house that had a pool of course!
Billy goes for a swim. Caitlin and Mandi arrive and Caitlin is still complaining about finding “losers in the fast lane”. They spot Billy, and Caitlin suggests they go and annoy him by sitting at the end of the lane and splashing him. Caitlin introduces him to Mandi, and says he seems like a good swimmer and wants to know his personal best. He says he doesn't really train seriously, but Caitlin says he should and that they should have a race.
Lou opens the door to his assessor and shows her in to meet Marlene and Louise. He introduces her as “Mrs. Maitland” and she corrects him by saying it's actually “Ms. Maitland”. He shows her the mess Louise made of the tax returns but she says it's all right because she can still read the figures, and she understands because her son once through out a whole folder of assessments. Lou stares at her and says he is sure he has seen her before, and she says she has the same feeling.
Caitlin and Mandi win the race by a long way. They decide to make things easier by moving to Billy's lane and sitting on the side to splash him again as he goes past. He says they could have spoilt his personal best, and then they jump back in and give him a dunking. Anne arrives at the pool and isn't too impressed to see them splashing around in the pool together.
Outside the swimming pool the four of them sit at a patio table having drinks. Caitlin says Billy could improve his time if he trained seriously, but he says he's only been swimming to help with his asthma until now. Caitlin's face falls when Billy suggests Anne could go training with him as well. There is obvious tension between them, and Anne says it isn't really her thing.
The auditor queries Lou's claim for mileage expenses between the pub and home since it's within walking distance. He spins her a yarn about having had an operation for bunions and can't walk it any more. Then they get back to the question of where they have seen each other before, and it finally clicks that it was through the dating agency, but she says it won't affect her assessment. Lou remembers she knocked him back within an hour of getting his tape, and she says that isn't like her since she's normally a procrastinator. He says she obviously wasn't in this case.
Billy and Anne get back from the pool. Billy says they have the place to themselves but Anne doesn't want to do anything. She isn't happy about the attention Caitlin and Mandi were giving him at the pool. Billy says they were just having fun and there was nothing in it, but Anne says there is never nothing in it when girls give a guy attention. Billy assures her he has no interest in Caitlin.
Carol is finishing up. She says everything is in order, but Lou should keep his paperwork somewhere away from kids in future if there is such a place. Before she goes Lou asks if there was any particular reason she knocked him back about the dating agency, but she can't remember anything specific. He asks if she found anyone through the agency, but she says only a couple of dinners and nothing serious. Then he suggests they go on a date together now they have met again.
Caitlin arrives back from the pool, and Ben asks if she had a good time. She says Mandi travels from Geelong every day to train there, and Ben thinks the coach must be good for her to do that. They decide to go and see a movie, and as they are leaving Matt and Sarah get back from their trip. Caitlin asks what Port Campbell was like. Sarah just says “interesting” but Matt thinks it was great. After they have gone Matt tells her the police house was nice and she could continue her nursing up there, but she says they might not be together in six months and she doesn't want to be stranded up there. She says they only way they can stay together is if he doesn't go.
