Karl tells Hannah and Debbie their gran is in hospital under observation.
Hannah tells Phil that since her mum died Gran has been there for her.
Madge convinces Debbie to employ Harold, but the coffee shop is up for sale.
Toadie, Lance are making fun of Billy and asking what is wrong with Sarah's pool. Billy says it is too small for laps and a few laps would be good for Toadie. But Toadie is there for one reason, the hot dogs. Billy asks about his cholesterol problem but Toadie thinks the problem is in the doc's mind.
Debbie is on the phone but Harold is trying to listen in and keeps interrupting the phone call, when Harold leaves she says she is not panicking yet.
Madge arrives and asks if it is bad news, Joanna is selling the coffee shop. Debbie says that Harold has been rearranging everything already and hopes Harold can understand it is a meat eating establishment.
Harold arrives with a burger, which Debbie quickly realises is not meat as Harold explains it is tofu and very healthy and who said burgers had to be made of meat as Madge gives him a very disapproving look.
Toadie is eating his hotdog and staring at two very attractive women in bikinis, Lance says the view is better under the water. Toadie sees a pool attendants sign and thinks it is a great job and it is a shame Lance has his nursery job.
Billy returns from the pool and grabs some chips, Toadie asks how he can miss out by keeping swimming laps.
Debbie is talking to Lou who has come into get some lunch as he is bored with the pub menu, Harold arrives with a burger for Lou. But Lou quickly realizes that he has been given a funny burger and asks Debbie about it. She says she needs to talk to Harold about who is in charge.
Anne is drawing Hannah's hand, but is finding it hard to make the hand look real. Hannah says Gran used to draw their portraits when she was well enough, and they are not sure when she will be released. Anne reassures her that they cannot keep her in hospital forever, but Hannah thinks it seems like it. Hannah likes the drawing but Anne is not so sure, Hannah offers some art books to help Anne.
Debbie is talking to Harold about the burger he gave to Lou, she asks if Lou asked for a meat substitute burger which Harold says no. She then clarifies that in HER coffee shop the customer is always right and gets what they ask for and that if it happens again she will have to sack Harold.
Toadie and Lance arrive talking about the job at the pool, Debbie says that Toadies shift has started and that he is in charge and must keep an eye on Harold as he has been trying to force vegetarianism onto others. Toadie says milkshakes on the house to Lance as Debbie leaves.
Lou asks if Madge wants some hours at the pub, but she is already looking into something else.
Debbie arrives and asks Lou not to tell anyone about the burger Harold gave him earlier. Madge asks if he is being very hard, Debbie says she had to be blunt with him earlier, as she could lose the whole place. Lou says the new owners could keep her on but Debbie is not hopeful. Debbie then has to leave.
Madge says that maybe she could need a new business.
Harold is wondering where all the customers have gone when Toadie notices one of his veggie burgers lying around. He says it is not as good as meat but still ok, Harold goes off on vegetarians not being catered for and Toadie decides to deep fry the rest of the burgers.
Madge arrives to talk to Harold about the coffee shop lease, she thinks it would be a good idea if they were to take over the lease.
Harold think they could turn it into a vegetarian cafe but Madge thinks they would have to keep Debbie making the day to day decisions so Harold would still be the employee which he does not look as keen at.
A hyperactive Hannah is trying to convince Debbie that there are loads of jobs she could do, Phil comes in and says Madge wants a business meeting. Hannah has drunk too much red cordial which is annoying Debbie but Phil thinks it is good she is happy not moping about.
Debbie is worried she will lose her job, and Harold was trying to turn everyone in Erinsborough into a vegetarian and that does Hannah feel everyone is working against her. Hannah says it is paranoia.
Phil finishes on the phone with bad news they are keeping Helen in longer as they are not happy with the test results.
Lance is joking Anne has been doing homework all morning, she was drawing people and cannot do it well.
Toadie arrives to take their order of a bowl of chips and 3 shakes, Lance asks about the pool job. Toadie says he is going to be a pool attendant so he can stare at babes in bikinis and make mega bucks. Harold hurries Toadie along.
Anne and Billy do not rate Toadies chances.
Toadie leaves Harold alone in the Coffee shop as he needs to go down to the swimming pool about the job.
Harold offers 50% off all tofu dishes on the menu as Madge arrives through a crowd of leaving customers, she says he is unstoppable and Debbie is his boss and she is not happy he is scaring customers away as it is not a veggie bar.
Lance is reading a learners driver book which he waves in Anne's face, as they both fight over the book. Hannah decides to go home as she has forgotten something.
Anne tests Lance on the book.
Debbie is not keen on the deal with Madge and Harold as she is not keen on working with Harold, Hannah comes home but is still upset over Helen.
Toadie is looking for the manager, the manager says that as Toadie does not have his bronze medallion for swimming he cannot have the job.
It seems Billy has got the job.
