Karl is ordering takeaway for himself, Malcolm and Billy. Billy tells Mal he'll be in trouble with Danni for not organising anything for Valentine's Day. Karl rolls his eyes and shows them a card that arrived for Billy.

Just then, Libby comes in crying and tells them that Sonny dumped her at the restaurant on Valentine's Day in front of everyone. Karl thinks it's the best outcome for everyone concerned! Libby stomps off to her room.

Zoe thinks Hannah's valentine's card is from Mr Powers, as it's signed "Tim"(!) Hannah thinks that Zoe sent the card for a laugh but she assures her she didn't. They sniff the card to see if there's aftershave on it!

Phil comes in and asks if the card is from Lance, but Hannah says it's from a much more mature man!

Pub
Cody and Jen are hanging out chatting about Luke's job. Luke comes in and they tease him about the tie his boss (Nadia) has bought him. Luke takes offence and tells them off.

Brett comes around to see Libby about the Sonny fiasco. Karl calls Libby out and then makes himself scarce. Brett asks Libby if she's OK. She says that Sonny is a pig. Brett says that Libby deserves better, but she isn't so sure. Brett wipes her tears with his hankerchief and says that relationships aren't easy. Then they hug.

Coffee Shop, the following morning
Cody and Jen are having breakfast and chatting about Nadia again. Apparently she stayed over with Luke last night. Cody thinks it will burn itself out soon enough - it's not dissimilar to her situation with Ewan.

Just then, Luke comes in looking very chipper and tries to steal Jen's bacon. Apparently Nadia has given him the morning off.

School
Hannah isn't sure that Mr Powers sent the Valentine card. Zoe winds her up saying that she'll have to start calling him "Tim" when they're together!

Billy asks Libby if she's heard Karl talking about a Kate. She says she can't remember. Billy grills her and says Mal thinks Karl might have had an affair while Susan was away. Libby is shocked.

Coffee Shop
Phil sits down with Karl. Karl is a "grumpy old bugger" this morning (his words!) Karl wants to know what Phil's opinion is, but he says it's between him and Susan.

Luke is grilling Brett for details about the dinner. He says things were cut short by Libby being dumped in the same restaurant. Luke says that word will be out about Brett and Judy soon! But Luke doesn't think it's a big deal, even if she is his mother's best friend!

School
Mr Powers is teaching the class about Pythagoras's Theorum. Zoe is being a right teacher's pet and hanging off Mr Power's every word. Hannah asks for clarification but she doesn't really seem to understand things. Mr Powers sits down with her to show her the text book, but Hannah is distracted and keeps staring at him(!)

Coffee Shop
Karl is still brooding when Cody come in looking for him. Then Mal comes in with Sonny. Karl tells him to show a bit of consideration for Libby and show a bit more family loyalty. Mal gets cross and says family loyalty apparently doesn't apply to Karl and Kate! He accuses Karl of having an affair with Kate, then stomps off.

Brett comes round to see Libby who has a study afternoon. She thanks him for helping her last night. She's still upset, but says she's not ready for the kind of relationship he wants. Brett tells her not to take things personally.

Libby asks Brett about his own love life - she saw him with Judy at the restaurant. She's a bit surprised to hear that Judy is now Brett's girlfriend! Libby thinks it's the most exciting thing that has ever happened to Brett and wants to hear all the details!

School
Hannah is still staring at Mr Powers who tells her to get on with her work. Zoe passes her a drawing titled "Imagine if you marry him - the perfect equation". Hannah laughs, and writes 10/10 on the drawing. But Mr Powers tells them to stop messing about.

Pub
Mal and Sonny are having lunch in the pub. Mal is in a foul mood. Cody comes in and says Karl has been in a strop all the afternoon. Malcolm asks Cody about Kate, and how much Karl saw her outside work etc. Cody says she can't comment because of patient confidentiality.

School
Mr Powers is giving the class homework. Hannah and Zoe are still writing notes and giggling. Mr Powers tries to take the note off her but she crumples it up quickly. However, he uncrumples the note which reads, "Mr Powers has the best butt in the whole world" (!)
