Libby thinks that Malcolm is trying to impress Biance in the fun run. She think Mal is worried that Bianca will get together with Sam.
Brett and Danni make a bet on the outcome of the fun run - the loser has to jog from Ramsay Street to the surgery naked.
Bianca, Marlene and Sam find some expensive jewellery inside a hollowed-out book in the bric-a-brac shop.
Surgery
Karl is playing cricket(!) when Cody comes in. They chat about the run and Karl says he's a bit worried about the heat. Ren comes in and suggests that they put the fun run back for a couple of hours to miss the worst of the heat.
Bric-a-brac Shop
Sam thinks that Marlene should take the jewellery to the police, but neither Marlene or Bianca are very keen on this idea!
Kennedys
Malcolm is doing his stretching exercises in the kitchen while Susan and Billy put away the washing. Susan tells Mal that it's a fun run, not an Olympic final(!) He goes off to train at the park.
Number 30
Rick tells Cody that he can't come to the fun run because he has an important meeting to go to. Cody goes off to ring the guys from Uni about the fun run's new time, much to Rick's displeasure.
Carpenters Cars
Lou and Cheryl are setting up a stall with water bottles for the fun run. Cheryl tells Lou to lay off Ling-Mai and stop expecting her to take part in all of their family activities.
Martins
Phil and Hannah are going to do the Amnesty Walk (a short cut through the park) rather than Jog for Justice because "Hannah is too young" (yeah, right!) Phil suggests that they invite Billy but Hannah says Billy still hates her(!) Phil says there's no harm in asking and maybe Susan will come too.
Fun Run start
Karl and Ren are putting up posters saying that the fun run is postponed. Mal arrives and starts stretching. Karl warns him not to over-exert himself in the heat, but Mal says it's all under control.
Kennedys
Phil and Hannah come round to invite Susan and Billy to the Amnesty Walk. Susan gladly accepts, much to Billy's displeasure!
Lou and Cheryl's
Danni is in a lycra getup for the fun run. Brett is making himself a visor out of and old sun hat(!)
Number 30
Cody is lathering on sun screen. Rick invites her to the movies later, but Cody is meeting her tutorial group. Rick suggests sadly that they meet up tomorrow instead.
Bric-a-brac Shop
Marlene has been on the phone to the jewellers and asked him to pop in to value the jewellery.
Sam comes to pick Bianca up to go to the Fun Run. She goes off to change.
Marlene tells Sam off for showing off to Bianca. She tells him Sam to make sure that he eats some lunch to give him enough energy to complete the race.
Starting Line
Hannah and Billy are still ignoring each other.
The runners, including Mal, Sam, Bianca, Danni, Brett and Cody all line up. Ren blows the starting horn and they all run off. Mal takes an early lead.
Carpenters Cars
Lou and Cheryl are manning their water stall, waiting for the runners to turn up. Lou goes to ring Ling Mai again and Cheryl protests that Lou is crowding her. He sits down again grumpily. Cheryl says she realises what Ling-Mai means to Lou.
Bric-a-brac Shop
Rick is hanging out with Marlene (after his meeting) when the jeweller arrives to value the jewellery that they found in the book. He looks at a ring through his eyepiece.
The Park
Phil, Susan, Hannah and Billy are strolling through the park. Bill has got his water pistol out and starts squirting them. Susan tells Bill off. Then she takes the water pistol off Billy and gives it to Hannah. She runs after Billy, squirting him!
Bric-a-brac shop
The jeweller tells Marlene that it's valuable jewellery and offers to sell them for her. He thinks they can get a couple of thousand dollars. Marlene says she'll think about it.
When the jeweller (Edgar) has gone, Marlene tells Rick that with Edgar's markup the jewellery must be worth about $5,000.
Fun Run
Everyone is running and suffering in the heat. Mal collapses in Karl's arms at Lou and Cheryl's stall. Karl treats him for hyperthermia.
Bric-a-brac Shop
Rick tells Marlene that he's feeling left out of Cody's life. Marlene advises him to grit his teeth and hang on in there.
Finish Line (Lassiters)
The runners come round the corner and Sam is in the lead. He manages to hang on to win the race.
The Coffee Shop
Phil and Susan are drinking cool drinks and are pleased that Hannah and Billy are friends again.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Sam is drinking a cool drink as Brett runs past Danni to beat her to the finish line.
Lou is bringing out more drinks and tells Susan that Mal was suffering from heat stroke.
Cheryl congratulates Ren on a great job.
Finally Mal approaches the finish line limping, helped along by Karl. He runs the last few yards to applause from the gathered crowd. Bianca gives him a bottle of water and turns away, shaking her head. (What a bitch!!)
Danni tells Brett that there's no way she is streaking to the doctor's surgery from Ramsay Street, but Brett won't let her out of it!
