No. 26
Mark is telling Philip that he doesn't know what got into Hannah. Hannah snaps that Nicole deserved it. Philip sees Mark out and then asks Hannah curtly what she has to say for herself. Hannah just stands there in silence. Philip growls that this is hardly grown- up, ladylike behaviour. Hannah snaps that Nicole spilt cordial down her dress. Philip asks if that that meant Hannah had to drag Nicole across the floor by her hair. Hannah snaps that Nicole did it on purpose. Philip retorts in exasperation that, even so, spilling cordial isn't a draggable offence.

Rear of the Bric- a- Brac store
Sam is lifting weights when Squirrel turns up and asks if they can talk. She tells Sam that she's told her mum about the pregnancy - and she was disgusted with her and threw her out. Sam asks Squirrel when she's having the ultrasound. Squirrel replies that it's tomorrow - and then she'll see Doc Kennedy to get the results. Sam comments that she'll find out how far along she is. Squirrel asks if she can stay the night. Sam nods, but says *he'll* sleep in the shed.

No. 26
Hannah tells her father that she's going to go to bed, but Philip stops her and says tersely that he's still waiting for a reasonable explanation for her behaviour. Hannah retorts that Nicole was treating her like a baby in front of Billy. Philip asks her if Billy asked Nicole to the dance. Hannah admits that he did. Philip tells her that she can't just go around pulling out people's hair because she didn't like what they did. He adds that tomorrow she's going to go and see Mark, Nicole and Billy and say she's sorry.

Ramsay Street
The next morning, Rick emerges from No. 28 as Cody walks across the street and says good morning. Rick just asks:

RICK: Is it?

Cody tells him that he's lucky to have a job - and if Rick goes to work with a smile on his face, it'll be over a whole lot sooner.

No. 28
There's a knock on the front door. Susan opens it to Hannah, who steps inside sheepishly. She tells Susan and Karl that her dad wanted her to come over and say sorry to Billy for last night. Karl calls to Billy, who emerges from his bedroom. Hannah tells him that she's sorry for spoiling his evening and ruining the dance. Billy doesn't appear overly interested.

Rear of the Bric- a- Brac Store
Squirrel is sleeping in a camp bed when Sam creeps in with some breakfast for her. Squirrel stirs and tells him gratefully that no one has brought her breakfast in bed before. She gets up and sits down with Sam at the table. He asks her if he can come and see Dr. Kennedy with her after the ultrasound. He adds that they need to sort this out. Squirrel, however, suggests that she meet him after. Sam shrugs that that's fine: he'll see Dr. Kennedy on his own. Squirrel pleads:

SQUIRREL: You won't walk out on me, will you, Sam? There'll be no one to look after me and my baby if you did.

Hungry Bite
Annalise is behind the counter, staring into space, when Danni comes in. She asks Annalise if she's thinking about a dark- haired religious person. Annalise just retorts that Danni's kidding, isn't she? Danni tells her that it's not going to do any good moping. Annalise insists that she's just trying to figure it out. She suggests that maybe she should take up knitting and get ready for a lonely old age! Susan comes in and asks Annalise if she can put up a poster for the local drama group, which is holding auditions. She then smiles and tells Annalise that she ought to come - she'd be a natural!

No. 26
Hannah arrives back home and Cody asks how it went. Hannah retorts that Billy hates her; he'll never talk to her again. She asks how she can get him to really like her. Cody, however, tells her that people do what they want to do and they may not want to like her. She adds that Hannah should keep a smile on her face and wait for some nice boy to come along. Hannah sighs that she doesn't *want* a nice boy; she wants Billy.

Hungry Bite
Susan is telling Annalise about her previous acting experience. Mark comes in and comments to Annalise that it's good to see her looking so happy. Annalise tells him that she's joining the local theatre company with Susan. Mark smiles that it'll give her something new to do. Annalise retorts coolly:

ANNALISE: Yeah... might take my mind off a certain person that tried to ruin my life.

Mark insists that he never wanted her to be unhappy; he's sorry things turned out the way they did. Annalise just shrugs that she'll be fine.

Surgery
Cody is on the 'phone in the reception area, telling Mrs. Thompson that she can't discuss another patient with her. She hangs up as Squirrel emerges from Karl's consulting room, crying. Cody asks in concern what's wrong. Squirrel, however, snaps at her to leave her alone, and she runs out.

No. 28
Billy opens the front door to Hannah, who asks to talk to him. Billy tells him that he's off to see Sam, actually. Hannah asks if they can't be friends again. Billy points out that Hannah dragged his girlfriend across the floor by her hair; is he supposed to *thank* her? With that, he pushes Hannah out.

Hungry Bite
Philip is sitting at a table on his own. He sprays something from an aerosol on his hand and then stuffs the canister in a bag as Cody comes in. She sits down with him and asks him if he's seen Hannah today. Philip sighs and asks if *all* eleven- year- olds carry on like this; he doesn't remember *Debbie* causing this much trouble at that age. Cody tells him that Hannah is just going through the early stages of puberty. Philip sighs that he doesn't know what to do; if Julie was around, they'd discuss it and maybe she'd have a better idea what to do. Cody assures him that he'll get through it.

Outside the Hungry Bite/Lassiter's Complex
Squirrel is sitting at a table when Sam runs up and asks if everything was OK. Squirrel nods that the ultrasound showed there was no problem with the baby. Sam says he reckons they should go and see her mum; Squirrel *needs* her at the moment. Squirrel just insists that she can handle it, and she gets up and walks off.

Across the Lassiter's Complex, Danni is standing with Rick as Squirrel dashes past. She says she might go and check on Sam. She leaves Rick muttering to himself that at least Squirrel doesn't have to sweep up little pebbles!

Outside the Hungry Bite, Danni sits down with Sam, who asks her if she could talk to Squirrel to find out what's happened.

Cubby House
Hannah knocks on the door of the cubby house. Billy is inside, and he opens the peephole and tells Hannah that he's got a friend there. Hannah asks who it is and Billy replies that's Nicole. Hannah cries in horror that the cubby house was supposed to be their secret place. Billy retorts:

BILLY: Well then, it's not secret anymore, is it?
HANNAH (exclaims): Oh, you've ruined *everything*. I *hate* you, Billy Kennedy.

She storms off.

No. 26
Philip is checking his hair - which is suddenly much darker in colour - in a mirror as he sits on the couch! Hannah rushes in and cries that it's not fair: Billy is being horrible to her; he won't talk to her and now he's taken Nicole to the secret cubby house. Philip tells her gently to dry her tears; no boy is worth crying her eyes out. Hannah stares at him - and then asks him what he has in his hair. Philip tells her that it's spray- on hair; he thought that with his hair receding... Hannah tells him quickly:

HANNAH: I wouldn't.
PHILIP: No?
HANNAH: No. It looks really daggy!

Philip tells her that if she stops worrying about Billy, he'll stop worrying about his hair!

Outside Karl's Surgery/Lassiter's Complex
Rick joins Cody outside the surgery and offers to walk her home. As they cross the Complex, Rick tells Cody that he did all his work today without complaining to Crowley. He goes on that Lassiter's are sending him on a ten- day management training course in the mountains - starting tomorrow! He then invites Cody to come to the beach with him to a magic bay where he can have her all to himself!

No. 28
Karl heads into the house with Mark - just as Susan emerges from the bedroom area with Annalise. Mark says a muted Hi to Annalise. Mark tells Susan that he wanted to talk to her about joining the theatre group. Susan smiles that Marjorie will be thrilled; they have a shortage of male players. She goes to get him some information. When she's gone, Annalise glares at Mark and tells him quietly that she really wishes he wouldn't. Mark comments that she was fine earlier; he thought everything was going to be OK. Annalise accuses him of trying to muscle- in on her theatre company. She goes on that she needs something to take her mind off *him*; how can she do that when he's there as well? Mark apologises and he asks Annalise to tell Susan he'll dip out.

No. 26
Hannah and Philip are playing Snakes and Ladders when Cody comes in. She tells them that Rick's off to the mountains tomorrow to do a course. Philip asks her if she's going as well. Cody laughs and asks if they're trying to get rid of her! Philip, however, tells her that they've liked having her stay and they'd like her to continue living there, at least until Debbie gets home. Cody accepts the offer!

Hungry Bite
Squirrel is sitting at a table, tears in her eyes, when Danni comes in and asks if everything is all right. Squirrel sobs that she's just been to see the doctor. She adds:

SQUIRREL: I wish I was *dead*.
DANNI (insists): No you don't.
SQUIRREL (cries): Things were looking OK, you know? I was having a baby... and Sam was going to look after us both.
DANNI: Well, what's gone wrong?
SQUIRREL: Well, now Sam's going to leave me.
DANNI: He is? Why?
SQUIRREL: Because... because it's not his baby.

Danni sits there looking taken aback.
