The Coffee Shop
Helen finds Annalise ironing her clothes in the kitchen. Annalise has moved out. She and Mark had a fight, but now she has nowhere else to go. She's not going back to #30, she'd rather die than let Mark know he was right. Helen offers for Annalise to stay with her, but Annalise says she won't as she's already got Rosemary there. Annalise says she'll find somewhere.
Street
Cheryl and Lou walk along towards the church. Lou wonders how they'll sort this out if Cheryl won't talk to him. Cheryl says he didn't talk to her before he gave her daughter his name, both of his names. Lou apologises, he was in a hurry and wasn't thinking. She says this baby is theirs, not his. Lou says if she'd married him they wouldn't have this problem. Cheryl says she wouldn't take his name even if she did marry him, she likes being Cheryl Stark. Lou says Stark is not her real name, it's her first married name. He asks if she wants to call their daughter by her previous husband's name. She says she'll call her Kratz, Lou says Kratz- Carpenter, but Cheryl doesn't like the sound of it.
LOU: You don't like that either? Okay. You do whatever the hell you want! You want compromise, fine? You go in there, and you and the priest sort out what we're going to call her. Count me out of the whole business!
Lou walks off angrily.

Sam thinks its convenient they're both right next door, its almost as if it were planned by someone. Marlene tells him off for being cheeky and asks him for a favour. She asks him to repaint her bedroom, the colours are wrong and it gives her nightmares. She's already picked out the colours she wants.

Marlene says she knows what it's like to be out on the streets, she's been there herself. She invites Annalise to move in whenever she likes, Sam's painting the rooms but the smell of paint should be gone by tonight.
Number 28
Gaby puts baby Zac down. Pam thinks it's a great idea having a naming day, and asks if its okay to use the family christening robe. Gaby thinks it will be nice, and hopes Brad and Beth will make it. Adam probably won't as he'll be studying for his exams. Gaby just wants a small gathering, just family, a few friends and some people from the street. She wants it simple, just a tree put in the garden that Zac can watch grow with him. Pam thinks that's a lovely idea. Gaby wants an Australian tree â€" a red flowering gum tree. Pam offers to buy it for Zac as a gift from her and Doug, and Gaby agrees. There's a knock at the door. It's Jack. Gaby is shocked to see him. He says he's here to see his son.
Newsagents
Phil apologises to Julie for being late, he was visiting customers who are struggling financially and can't pay for their account. Julie says they'll have to close their account, but Phil doesn't like to do it to them, he's just lost his job and hers are barely covering their mortgage repayments. They talk about Hannah's desire to have a horse. Gough's sister is tired of having a horse and wants someone to look after it. Julie thinks they may be able to come to some sort of arrangement.
Number 28
Pam says she'll be over at Cheryl's if Gaby needs her, and leaves. Jack tells Gaby he's here to see his son, Gaby didn't call to tell him she gave birth. He had to read about it in the newspaper. Gaby says when she last spoke to Jack he said he didn't want to be involved in Zac's upbringing. Jack said he offered to provide financial assistance, which he thinks gives him visiting rights. Gaby doesn't want his help, financially or otherwise. Jack insists he meets his son. He says hi to Shannon. Gaby says he isn't called Shannon, she changed it to Zackary. She refuses to let Jack hold him. Jack says he's changed his mind, he wants to get involved. He doesn't want this boy growing up without knowing who his father is.
The Waterhole
Julie sits down for a drink with Gough's father, Mal. He says Gough's sister is bored of the horse now, but she won't give the horse up. Julie offers to pay for Hannah to ride her. Mal says if Hannah is responsible enough to care for the horse properly, then she can see the horse whenever she likes. She will need her own riding gear though. She'll need to groom, exercise and feed the horse daily, and muck out the stables. Mal says the time and energy Hannah puts in to looking after the horse will be ample payment for the rides. They toast their arrangement.
Number 28
Gaby is furious at Jack, with his track record she'd be mad to let him anywhere near Zac. Zac starts crying. Gaby says if Jack wants to help out financially he can set up a trust fund. He wants to visit occasionally, but Gaby says he's not seeing Zac again ever. Jack puts his hand on Gaby's shoulder and she pushes it away, telling him not to touch her. Jack leaves.
Number 24
Marlene and Sam are talking about the paint smell clearing, and how Sam always looks out for her. Apart from the time the electrical equipment arrived before she did and he asked her about where it came from. She says Cheryl always thinks the worst of Marlene, so why shouldn't he? Sam has said he's sorry. Marlene says she wants to start a business. It's not another junk shop, its 'specially selected pieces of this and that.' Marlene starts to think twice about the paint job Sam has just re- done, now she isn't sure that the carpet will match the walls. Sam looks annoyed.
Number 28
Gaby is in tears as she tells Pam about Jack's visit. It feels like she'd be giving Zac up. Gaby says she's scared, she doesn't want Jack to have anything to do with the way she brings up Zac, but she feels like she's being forced into it. She just wants Zac to be brought up under her influence. Pam says Zac will be his own person, she doesn't own him, she just brought him into the world. Gaby knows. Pam says she can enjoy having Zac all to herself for as long as she likes.
Number 22 Back Yard
Cheryl is on the decking with baby Louise, as Lou joins her. Lou apologises for how he behaved, he doesn't want his bad temper to spoil things. Cheryl apologises too and they hug. She knows Louise can't be called Stark. Lou says he's happy to leave it to Cheryl to decide Louise's surname. As Cheryl doesn't want to get married, she thinks its only fair that she meets him half way. She suggests the name 'Louise Carpenter.' Lou thinks that sounds perfect. They kiss and hug.
Newsagents
Phil suggests they have a big celebration dinner for Hannah. Julie's too exhausted to cook, and she won't have Helen slaving over them.
PHIL: Well don't look at me, I'm tired too.
JULIE: You weren't the one on early shift this morning, where's your stamina?
PHIL (flirtatiously): I left it in the bed this morning.
They giggle. Phil suggests he ring Mark and get some home delivered gourmet food. Julie thinks that sounds wonderful. Hannah comes in saying it was horse's birthday yesterday. Every horse on the southern hemisphere has the same birthday. She's about to ask for a horse again, but Phil says the subject is closed. He and Julie share a giddy look with each other.

Helen has done them already, but asks him not to make a habit of it. He promises he won't, and thanks Helen. Julie comes in, telling Hannah that she's got company outside. She leads Hannah and the others out.
Ramsay Street
