Gaby loves the teddy bear that Doug and Pam bought. Doug tells Gaby that he has another surprise for her, but won't tell her what it is yet.
Phil is telling Julie what happened with Michael and the magazines. She thinks Danni is a bad influence.
JULIE: Maybe we should stop Michael seeing her, before things get worse.
PHIL: How much worse can they get?!
Cheryl tells Danni to take off her school uniform, because Cheryl wants to keep her where she can see her. She also has to come bowling with Cheryl tonight(!) Lou tells her not to argue and Danni reluctantly goes off to change.
In the living room Danni asks Brett to tell Michael that she can't get away tonight.
Helen is taking her medication and chatting to Michael, who is despondent.
HELEN: I've never seen your father so unhappy.
MICHAEL: Come on, Gran, I'm not the one causing all the hassles around here.
HELEN: Michael, you played truant, you stole those magazines, you lied to us.
There's a knock at the door and Michael answers it. Brett passes on the message that she can't come tonight, because Cheryl is not letting her out of her sight. Michael tries to give him a message to take back, but Brett refuses to be a go- between.
MICHAEL: Come on, mate!
BRETT: Look, I think what you're doing's wrong. But I won't say a word if you just leave me out of it, OK?
He walks off.
MICHAEL:(to himself) Thanks a lot(!)
Danni is sitting in the office listening to her headphones, as Cheryl won't let her out of her sight.
Cheryl tells Rick that she's going on maternity leave next week and he will have a new boss - Annalise. Also, Rick is going to manager the bar, although it's admittedly a risk!
CHERYL: If you let me down, Ricky- baby, I'll kill you - slowly!
RICK: I won't, I promise, thanks a million, Cheryl!
Cheryl tells Rick that he's bowling tonight, so he'll have to cancel his date.
CHERYL: Don't you be late, or both your legs could very easily be broken(!)
Danni is bored.
Lou and Doug are catching up. Lou is feeling his age with all the teenage dramas, and reminds Doug he'll be in his sixties when the new baby is a teenager!
Rick comes over and tells them excitedly that he's been made bar manager. Lou asks him for a drink on the house to celebrate(!)
They ask Rick about selling the home- brew and he look unsure at first, but then agrees(!)
Cheryl heads off home with Danni in tow. Julie comes in to tell Cheryl that she and Phil have made a decision. They want to separate Michael and Danni. Cheryl agrees, despite a bit of bickering over who is the worst influence.
Doug is working on his cot design. Pam comes in and says she's bought some great knitting patterns for baby clothes.
To a musical montage, everyone is bowling. Michael and Danni are both there, but sitting separately.
Bert turns up with his wife Bianca, ready for the bowling challenge. His son has injured his ankle, so Phil volunteers Michael as a substitute for Bert's team.
Pam is massaging Gaby's shoulders after a hard day in work. They talk about Doug's surprise, and she's happy that Gaby and Doug are looking forward to the baby coming.
The bowling is in progress. Michael and Danni are smiling at each other, much to Cheryl's distaste.
Cheryl turns to Phil and asks what they can do about the Michael/Danni situation.
CHERYL: I think you're the one who should be dealing with it, Philip. After all, you're his father, you understand his background. I understand his background, Darren and Michael are like two peas in a pod, I know that boy.
PHIL: I know we have to handle it, I know I have to find a solution, and I'm working on it. But not just now, huh?
He gets up to take his bowling turn. Danni and Michael are still making eyes at each other.
Later, Danni and Michael manage to have a private conversation. He kisses her.
MICHAEL: I'll pick you up at your house at midnight, OK?
DANNI: I'll be waiting.
He hurriedly gets back to the bowling.
BRETT: What did he want?
BRETT: You're still going to run away together, aren't you.
Danni says nothing.
BRETT: Oh, you are, you dorks!
DANNI: Brett, please! I love Michael! Please don't tell Mum, please!
BRETT: Look, I think you're mad, but it's your choice.
The bowling is proceeding, and Michael manages to score the final strike to win!
Doug won't tell Gaby about his surprise. Pam is looking forward to going to Canberra with the bikies. Gaby is worried about her safety.
Cheryl is disappointed that her team lost. Danni heads off to bed.
CHERYL: Just a minute, madam.
DANNI: What now?
CHERYL: Newsflash, you're not sleeping in your room tonight.
DANNI: Why not?
CHERYL: You'll be sleeping in my room all night.
DANNI: What? You've got to be joking. (To Lou) Have you ever told her three's a crowd?
LOU: Couldn't agree more. That's why I'm sleeping in your bed.
He heads off to bed. Danni is not impressed.
The house is in darkness, and Michael creeps out with a bag. He exits quietly through the back door.
No.24 is also in darkness, and Danni creeps out in her dressing- gown. She opens the front door quietly and slips out.
Danni creeps in looking for Michael. She hears a noise and quickly hides. It's Phil! He's just helping himself to a midnight feast when he sees Danni hiding behind the counter and almost jumps out of his skin.
DANNI: I can explain!
PHIL: What are you doing, breaking in here in the middle of the night?!
DANNI: Well, the door was open, and...
Helen has come out now.
HELEN: What's going on here?
PHIL: We have a visitor.
HELEN: I can see that.
PHIL: This has nothing to do with Michael, I take it(!)
Julie comes out.
JULIE: What are you doing banging around in the middle of...
She sees Danni and tails off.
JULIE: What's she doing here?!
PHIL: Make three guesses.
JULIE: Oh, this is the absolute end.
PHIL: You're right, there. One way or another, this is where it ends.
Lou has heard "an intruder" and tackles him - of course, it turns out to be Michael.
CHERYL: Oh, no.
LOU: It's Cassanova Martin! Caught him coming through Daddy's window.
CHERYL: OK, where is she?
MICHAEL: I don't know, honest.
CHERYL: Sure, you just came over here in the middle of the night to see me, right?!
Lou picks up Michael's backpack.
LOU: And what's this? Planning a little trip, are you?
There's a knock at the door and Cheryl opens it to Phil, Julie and Danni.
PHIL:(to Michael) What are you up to?
JULIE: You weren't running away, were you?!
CHERYL: Oh, very good.
JULIE: Well, what was Danni doing in our kitchen?
PHIL: Looking for Michael, I'd say.
JULIE: That'd be right.
An argument ensues with everyone talking at once. Helen comes in and listens to the babble.
HELEN: SHUT UP!
They all fall silent.
HELEN: Bickering isn't getting us anywhere. I'm sure we're all agreed that this is very serious.
CHERYL: Hear, hear.
JULIE: Alright, what if they'd succeeded?
PHIL: Well, they have to be stopped from trying it again because next time they might succeed.
JULIE: Then there can't be a next time.
CHERYL: I've done my best to separate them.
JULIE: Obviously we need something more drastic.
CHERYL: For once, we agree, but what?
PHIL: There's only one solution. One of them will have to leave.
JULIE: Leave? Leave where?
PHIL: Permanently. It's the only way.
