Sally is still upset that Lou disapproves of her. Rick feeds her toast and tells her that Lou just doesn't understand.

Brett is looking at a painting and asks Helen how to get knowledge about art. He suggests that they could go to the gallery and Helen could teach him "art appreciation".

HELEN: Thank you, Brett, but you don't have to do this.
BRETT: Do what?
HELEN: Keep me occupied.
BRETT: No, I mean it! Look, I'd love to know more. I was just telling Danni that the other day. She bought this CD and it had this fantastic painting on the cover, of these skeletons hacking into people with swords and spears and stuff and burning their boards. Pretty impressive!
HELEN: Sounds like Breugel's (i)Triumph of Death(/i).
BRETT: Yes! See, that was it, you'd be perfect! We could go down the gallery and you could give me a few pointers.
HELEN: Are you sure that's what you want to do?
BRETT: Yes, I'm positive, of course I'm sure!
HELEN: Alright, that'd be lovely. We'll start tomorrow.
BRETT:(pleased) Cool.

Danni and Cheryl come in. Danni is bouncing a basketball as the wheelchair match is coming up. She begs to be let out of being grounded to go and see the Honey Pigs.

CHERYL: The Honey Pigs?
DANNI: You know, I got their CD the other day.
CHERYL: Oh, that thing with the skeletons on? They're revolting!

Danni continues to beg and Cheryl eventually relents. Cheryl is surprised that she's going with Michael Martin though. Danni then asks to borrow $20!

Brett comes in and tells them that he had a good driving lesson. He thinks Danni should try to get over being scared of driving, but she firmly tells him she's not interested.

Pub
Doug is upset about his job and Lou is trying to calm him down. Doug moans about Cody and Lou then tells him about what happened with Rick and Sally.

DOUG: Great pair, aren't we?
LOU: Perhaps we ought to join manic depressives anonymous(!)
DOUG: Good idea! Another?
LOU: Probably shouldn't.
DOUG: Yeah, Should be going home I suppose.
LOU: Mmm.

There is a long pause. Then they grin at each other.

Cheryl pops round looking for Lou and they tells him he's gone to the pub. Cody and Gaby leave Pam to tell Cheryl what's happened with Doug's job. Cheryl is sympathetic. Pam is worried - Doug isn't very good at being unemployed and last time it nearly ended their marriage.

(The following morning)

Doug is hungover. He's on a fine trigger and starts ranting at Cody again when she mentions preferring wholemeal bread.

CODY: I wasn't trying to make things bad for you!
DOUG: I'd hate to see it when you were trying then...

Pam interrupts and tells them to pipe down.

CODY: What do you want me to do Dad, do you want me to move out, is that it?
PAM: Cody...
CODY: If that's what he wants, that's what I'll do!
GABY: Yeah, well, that's not going to help anybody, is it, Dad?
PAM: This is your home! Your father doesn't want you to go anywhere (to Doug) do you?
DOUG: I wish everyone would stop telling me what I want all the time.
CODY: So he does want me to go.
PAM: Doug! Tell her you don't mean that.
DOUG: Why should I?
CODY: OK, fine. I'm out of here.

She stalks out.

Pub
Rick is dressed up for the "Face of Lassiters" shoot. Gaby comes in looking harassed, telling them her family are fighting. She is soon in professional mode though.

A photo- shoot musical montage ensues!

Coffee Shop
Cody is telling Debbie that Doug wants her out. Debbie tells her to just sort it out - she's always having to make up with Phil. Cody just asks Debbie to go and pick up her basketball stuff for her!

Pub
The photo shoot has ended successfully. Sally comes in, and Kris packs up his kit, promising to get the proofs to Gaby later.

Lou comes in with a present for Sally. He apologies profusely for upsetting her yesterday.

LOU: I don't know what happened, but everything just came out wrong.
SALLY: I was a bit over the odds too.
LOU: It's just that Rick means a lot to me, I sort of feel responsible for him.
SALLY: I know, we both do.
LOU: I must say, since you two have been knocking around together, he seems very perky. You must be having a special effect on him.
SALLY: Well, he's doing the same for me.

The present is a necklace.

SALLY: Thank you, it's lovely!
LOU: Mates?
SALLY: Of course.

Rick and Cheryl are watching, looking pleased.

Helen is showing Brett a book about art. They tell Debbie that they've just been to the gallery. She asks if they're coming to the game. Brett says he's definitely coming and to Debbie's surprise, Helen says she will come too.

Pam is trying to get through to Doug about Cody leaving home.

DOUG: I just can't forgive and forget, Pam!
PAM: You stubborn...

Just then, Debbie pops in to pick up Cody's basketball gear. Pam is horrified that Cody doesn't feel she can come into her own home anymore.

PAM: You've got to make up with her, Doug, before it's too late!

She suggests he comes to the basketball game. Doug tells her to forget it.

The Office
Gaby and Kris have got the proofs. Rick asks if he can get some extra photo prints to give to Sally.

When Rick has gone, Kris tells Gaby that he has a lot more promotional ideas if she's willing to listen.

Basketball court
It's another musical montage! The Ramsay Street regulars and the wheelchair team are playing basketball. Cody is very down about Doug and asks if she can stay at Debbie's place until she gets settled.

A bloke called Khan comes round to see Doug. Doug recognises him as a bloke who ran for Mayor once.

KHAN: It's that house of yours, Kia- Ora. I'd like to make you an offer for it, on behalf of the Council.
DOUG: What kind of offer?
KHAN: I'm afraid we can't quite match what the developers have been offering, but I'm sure we can put together a pretty effective package.
DOUG: Yeah?
KHAN: We want to turn it into a local history museum.
DOUG: Well....what sort of "package" did you have in mind?
KHAN: Well...we'll buy the house, of course. But we've seen the work you've done so far. I'd like to offer you the contract to complete the renovations as well.
DOUG: Yeah?
KHAN: And I think there could be a few other Council commissions.
DOUG: Well...what can I say?!
KHAN: Just say yes!
DOUG: OK, you're on! Thanks a lot!

They shake hands.

KHAN: Don't thank me, thank your daughter. Cody, is it?
DOUG: Cody?
KHAN: It was this video she made at the house that really clinched the deal.

He hands Doug a VHS tape.

KHAN: Drop by the council next week, we'll go over all the details.

Doug looks a bit takenaback.

Basketball Court
Pam, Cheryl and Lou have arrived. Pam tells Cody that she should come home after the game to talk to Doug. Helen and Brett arrive.

PACKO: Hey, Brett! Who's your girlfriend?!

Brett gives Packo a death stare.

The Office
Gaby and Kris are chatting about the Face of Lassiter's campaign. He tells her that the glass manufacturing company are also interested in using the photos. Gaby is excited and hugs him. He leans in and kisses her.

GABY: I'm sorry.
KRIS: What for, I'm not.
GABY: I didn't mean for that to happen, can we just forget all about that?
KRIS: Sorry.
GABY: That was a mistake.
KRIS: Well, I'm hanging out for another mistake! The sooner, the better.

Doug is watching Cody's video where she says nice things about his work on the house.

Basketball Court
The game is coming to an end and oddly enough, the Paralympic team are winning 42- 9.

Doug turns up and Pam is pleased to see him. He gives Cody a loaf of wholemeal bread as a peace offering, then tells them that the Council are buying the house and want him to finish the renovations - and it's all down to Cody.

DOUG: It's all down to that stubborn streak of hers.
PAM: I wonder where she gets that from?!
DOUG: Beats me!
