Recap
Phoebe tells Todd she's pregnant.
Number 30
Todd thinks it must be a mistake, she can't be pregnant as they were careful, using condoms and the pill. Phoebe says she was sick a while ago and that sometimes stops the pill from working. Todd clearly isn't thrilled by the news. Dorothy arrives to tell them how Toby refused to get onto the train until she promised to keep a 24 hour guard over Bouncer. She guesses Toby is worried about the thief, as some things have gone missing in the street. She asks them to be extra careful about locking doors and windows. As Dorothy leaves, Todd wonders what they should do about it. Phoebe puts the question back onto him.
Number 28
Gaby tells Paul off for giving her ideas about expanding the range of the business. The agreement was he comes in as a money person while she makes the decision about products. Gaby needs to get back to her paperwork. While Paul is holding Andrew, she checks on how Andrew is, telling Andrew not to go around swallowing rings.
As Paul and Andrew leave, Cameron arrives dressed as a Roman. Cameron tells Gaby that Lucy went to the fancy dress party with Brad, in his limo. Gaby asks if he's mistaken, but Cameron says he saw them locked in a passionate embrace. Cameron thought he stood a chance with Lucy. Gaby doesn't think either of them would have deliberately set out to hurt him.
Limousine
Brad admits he's wanted to be with Lucy for a long time. Lucy says Brad has been off and on so much that she wondered if it was a game to him. He was scared of losing her friendship. Lucy says he hasn't lost it. They decide not to go to the party as they wouldn't get much alone time, so they decide to cruise around in the limo until the rent runs out. Lucy always wanted to take a scenic tour of Erinsborough in a limo. They kiss.
Number 30
Phoebe wonders how Todd feels about her being pregnant.
TODD: It's just something I wasn't expecting.
PHOEBE: No one was expecting it, but it's happened and it's no good pretending that it hasn't.
TODD: I'm not trying to pretend anything.
PHOEBE: You could have fooled me. You don't seem to be in any great hurry to deal with it.
TODD: I'm dealing with it my own way okay.
PHOEBE: Well no it's not okay, not if your way just means shutting off and not talking and acting like the whole thing is my fault.
TODD: Who's told you that?
PHOEBE: You are!
TODD: Look I'll talk about it when I'm ready.
PHOEBE: When's that going to be?
TODD: When you stop hassling me long enough for me to think it through okay!
Todd leaves. Dorothy arrives with Bouncer, talking about letting him stay in the house tonight so she can keep an eye on him. Dorothy asks if everything is okay between her and Todd, Phoebe lies that it is but says that Todd is gone.
Unknown Road
Lucy and Brad are going for a walk along a street, saying this place will become famous in a few years as being where they had their first date. She also says her costume will soon become a fashion trend. They talk about Brad fooling Lucy to think he was Cameron. Lucy didn't think Cameron would dress as a monk and wonders what he did wear to the fancy dress party. Lucy remembers Cameron will be looking for her at the party. They should tell him what's happened, he's going to be so upset.
Number 28 (Next Morning)
Gaby tells Brad that his wetsuit has been stolen and quite a few things have been stolen around the neighbourhood. Brad doesn't seem too heartbroken, Gaby thinks it's because he and Lucy are having a major love affair. She tells Brad that Cameron saw them kissing in the back of the limo. Brad feels bad about Cameron, he was going to talk to him last night but Cameron was already in bed. As Gaby heads to work, Cameron comes out to make breakfast. Brad wants to talk to him about last night, Cameron knows the best man one. Cameron says if Lucy is happy he is happy, but he doesn't need Brad to go on about it.
Number 26
Helen thinks Cameron will be disappointed, and is surprised Lucy hasn't told him yet. Lucy says she didn't get the chance and Brad said he would mention it to him. Helen thinks she owes it to Cameron to face him. Madge comes in to say that everyone is on the alert about the thief. She fills Lucy in that Christina's engagement ring, Brad's wetsuit and the World Vision money from the Coffee Shop last week being taken, she can't believe these people would have the gall to walk into people's back yards, even their living rooms to take these things. Helen remembers a time when you didn't have to lock every door and window when they set foot outside the house. Madge thinks they've all been careless about that.
Lucy joins Todd in the living room and asks if anything is wrong and if she can help. Todd thanks her but it is something he and Phoebe have to work out together.
Number 30
Phoebe greets Dorothy, who wonders if she would sleep all day. Phoebe wasn't sleeping, Dorothy thinks she looks exhausted. Phoebe tells Dorothy she's pregnant. Dorothy sits with Phoebe and takes her hand, saying it'll be alright. She asks if Todd knows. Phoebe says Todd knows and that's why he was in such a hurry to leave last night. Phoebe insists she doesn't need his help, she's got a lot of money to look after the baby. Dorothy checks that Phoebe is planning to have the baby, and she says she is. Dorothy says this is a big decision which will have consequences for the rest of her life. Dorothy thinks she has to think about finishing off her education. Phoebe can't think about that right now.
Number 26
Brad and Lucy plan to hang around the house for the rest of the day. They kiss.
Number 26 Back Yard
Todd is thinking, when Paul comes around with Andrew. Paul gives Andrew to Todd for a second while Paul ties his shoelaces. Paul can tell from Todd's mood that something is wrong, and guesses it is something to do with Phoebe. He suggests Todd speak to her, but Todd doesn't want to do that until he knows how he feels about it, otherwise he'd say the wrong thing and make it worse. Todd tells Paul that he got Phoebe pregnant. Todd is expecting a lecture, but Paul just asks what Todd is going to do about it. Todd doesn't know what the best thing is, he has to tell Phoebe something and it has to be right. If they make the wrong decision they'll pay for it for the rest of their lives.
Number 30
Phoebe says the more she thinks about it, the more she thinks it will be good for her and the baby. She can give her baby the kind of love she never got from her own mum and dad, and will never have to worry about running out on it when things get rough. Dorothy doesn't know if it will be that simple.
PHOEBE: It will be my baby and its life will be whatever I want it to be.
DOROTHY: Phoebe, a baby isn't a possession. It's another human being, it brings a lot of responsibilities with it.
PHOEBE: I know that.
DOROTHY: I think there are quite a few aspects of this you are not taking into account. Being a single mother isn't any kind of game. It's very hard work and it takes a huge commitment.
PHOEBE: Well that's fine. I'm not the one who's scared of commitment. I know I can do it and I can do it a whole lot better without any help from Todd.
Number 22
Paul comes downstairs having put Andrew to bed. Todd still can't get his head around the baby. He's worried about it ruining the relationship he has with Phoebe if he tries to talk her out of it. Paul is willing to be a sounding board whenever Todd wants, but it has to be him and Phoebe that make this decision. Paul tells Todd to talk to Phoebe, it's the only way he'll be able to get things clear in his own head and find out what Phoebe wants.
PAUL: Do you know how alone she must be feeling right now? You haven't said anything, you haven't even been near her since she told you last night. What do you think she's going to make of that?
TODD: I've been trying so hard to work it through logically that... I guess I've forgotten how she feels.
As Todd leaves to talk to Phoebe, Paul promises not to say anything about this, but wishes him luck.
Ramsay Street
Brad and Lucy leave #26, complaining about not getting any privacy at her place. They see Cameron across the street and Lucy decides to go talk to him, Brad should make himself scarce.
Cameron gets on his bike as Lucy comes over. She apologises to him and doesn't want him to think she was using him, she just wasn't sure who she liked more. Hurting him was the last thing she wanted. Cameron says he isn't hurt and says he was going to call things off yesterday as it wasn't working for him. He says he fooled himself into thinking he was in love and then suddenly realised he wasn't. Cameron says it's worked out for the best and everyone is happy. He then rides off, passing Todd who is crossing the street.
Number 30
Dorothy lets Todd in and leaves him and Phoebe to talk.
TODD: I've had time to think things through.
PHOEBE: So have I thanks to you. I've had nothing to do but think since you walked out on me yesterday.
TODD: It wasn't so much that I walked out...
PHOEBE: No, no actually you're right, it was more like a brisk run. Anyway you made your point and I'm not interested in anything you have to say.
TODD: What are you talking about? Phoebe we're in this together.
PHOEBE: No way. You've made it clear you don't have any feelings for me or for the baby and that's fine cos we're going to get on perfectly without you. We don't need you and we don't want you, so from now on I'd be grateful if you could stay right out of my life!
