Recap
- Todd isn't impressed that his father was using him for a place to hide and an alibi.
No.26
Bob tries to explain that he didn't want to get involved in the job, but he got dragged into it by a mate. Todd isn't impressed - his father gave up his "fresh start" and think he should stop lying to everyone. He throws his father out of the house.
No.28
Doug is raging over losing the job. Faye comes out and makes a nuisance of herself, complaining about the shower. Doug decides to go and confront the bloke about the job.
When he's gone, Pam purposely puts the water on so that Faye's shower goes cold(!)
Coffee Shop
A lady comes into the coffee shop and recognises Brenda - her name is Vicky Lewis. They're clearly old friends from school. Apparently Vicky's husband is a merchant banker and they are staying in Lassiter's on business. Brenda invites her over for dinner tonight.
No.26 (Outside)
Todd is watering the garden when Helen comes along and invites him in for a cup of tea. As Todd is turning the water from the hosepipe off, Bob approaches him and asks for another chance. Helen comes out and overhears their conversation. Todd tells Bob to rack off.
No.26 (Inside)
Helen asks Todd what's going on with Bob, but he doesn't want to talk about it, and goes off to his room.
Waterhole
Doug confronts his mate in the Waterhole for backstabbing him over the convent job. His mate doesn't know what he's talking about. Doug explains that he thinks he's in cahoots with Faye, but he insists he isn't. It seems Faye has undercut Doug off her own bat! Doug and his mate go off to confront Faye.
No.32
Bob is on the phone talking to a mate, very agitated. They are making plans to get away tomorrow, as the police are on their trail.
No.24
Brenda and Vicky are chatting. It seems Vicky's husband is a dork from school called "Freaky Fielder" who has made good. They met up a few years after school and he was a completely different person then - for one thing, he had a Ferrari(!) He relentlessly pursued her, and she finally gave in. She encourages Brenda to keep trying to find a man. Brenda says she quite likes being a free agent, but does not look convinced.
No.28
Nev confronts Faye about the convent job. She says she thought he'd be pleased(!) and that Doug didn't make him a partner, so deserved all he got(!) Nev isn't too happy to hear that Doug said he'd only ever be a foreman, but Doug says that's not true - he just didn't think Nev wanted to be a partner. Doug says he can be a partner, but he'll have to tell Doug how much money he wants to invest. Nev says that he's fine with the way things are, and he doesn't want Faye to run his life for him. Faye gets upset and starts crying, and he comforts her.
No.32
Bob answers the door to Helen (he is very jumpy). She wants to know what's going on between him and Todd. Helen reminds him that he agreed to turn himself in to the police, and also she wants to rent the house out to prospective tenants, and she can't while he's there. He tells her he'll be gone by tomorrow.
No.24
Brenda and Vicky are chatting about Brenda's "boyfriends" who she has made up. Apparently "Steve" is her favourite and Vicky wants to meet him - Brenda could bring "Steve" to the company barbecue. Brenda is horrified, but Vicky won't take no for an answer.
No.26
Todd still doesn't want to talk about Bob. Helen says he'll be gone by tomorrow anyway. Todd asks her why but before she can answer, there's a knock at the door. It's Pam - to tell them that the police came round earlier, looking for the "friend of Todd's". Todd is evasive, and says he didn't know the friend very well. When Pam has gone, Helen says Todd had better tell her everything - now.
No.28
Faye and Nev have made up and are now talking about the wedding. Faye is surprised to hear that it's going to be a small wedding. When he's gone home, Faye tells Pam that it's going to be a huge wedding!
No.24
Brenda tells Vicky that she and "Steve" won't be able to make it on Saturday as "Steve" is a vegetarian. Vicky says to just invite anybody, and she'll see her on Saturday!
No.26
Todd has told Helen the whole story. Todd explains that he didn't want to drag Helen into the situation. She says they've got to get rid of the money. Todd begs her to give Bob one more chance to turn himself in to the police. She agrees, but before they can leave, the police pull on to their driveway.
TODD: What are we going to do?
HELEN: I don't know. I really don't know!
