Recap
Joe gets a crank phonecall.
Number 32
Harold and Melanie are shocked at the phone-call. Harold tells Joe not to worry, it's probably a one-off.
Hospital
Josh is visiting Helen and is looking forward to her coming home. He says he's going to look for a part-time job to save up for a few things. He really wants to buy the earrings back for Lucy. Helen tells him that it's not a good use of his money.
Willises
Doug is snoring on the sofa while Adam and Gemma make a cup of tea after their date. Pam comes out to say hello and tells Adam that she's fed up of Doug's snoring. Adam gets a mischievous look on his face and says he has an idea.
Number 32
Joe is brooding and Melanie tells him not to worry - it was probably just a nutter. They go into the kitchen where the kettle is boiling. Joe agrees that reluctantly that one crank call probably isn't the end of the world.
Ramsay Street
Pam, Adam and Gemma have pulled Doug's sofa into the street. Doug continues to sleep.
Number 24
Adam has walked Gemma home. They sit on the sofa and have a pash. Harold comes out and interrupts them rather awkwardly. Adam decides that it's not their night for privacy and heads off home.
Ramsay Street - morning
Bouncer has curled up on the sofa beside Doug, who is still asleep. Joe and Harold see them and laugh their heads off. Doug wakes up and doesn't know where he is. He storms off into the house.
Joe invites Harold over for breakfast. Harold tells Joe what a brilliant friend Melanie has been to him. As they pass Joe's ute, they're shocked to see that "KILLER" has been daubed on the windscreen in red paint.
Number 32
Melanie, Harold and Joe are discussing the situation. Harold says that Joe has to tell the police - none of them are safe with a maniac around. Joe agrees to ring them.
JOE:(dialling the number) I don't mind saying it, Harry. I've never been so scared in me life.
Willises
Doug is ranting at Pam and Adam for making him "a laughing stock". They explain that they just wanted to get some sleep.
DOUG: What if it had rained?
PAM:(crossly) I guess the couch would have been ruined(!)
She says his sense of humour only works one way - he can give it out but can't dish it out. He thinks them sleeping apart is a symptom of a wider problem. He says everyone wants to do their own thing these days.
Robinsons
Helen is home and has got Jim to lift Josh's grounding. She tells him that she's off to the hairdresser's later and Josh thinks she's trying to impress Michael(!) Josh has seen an advert for a job in the paper, saying mysteriously that it's a sort of a "PR" thing. But he doesn't think he can handle it. Helen encourages him that he can do anything that he sets his mind to.
Coffee Shop - kitchen
Melanie comes in to tell Harold that the police have checked out Joe's van and are taking the matter seriously. They want to keep the business from Sky and Toby so they don't get scared.
Josh comes in and tells Harold that he needs a job - does he have anything going at the Coffee Shop? Unfortunately things are very tight with Harold at the moment and he's not taking anyone on.
Willises
Pam is leaving a casserole in the oven for the family while she's at work. She asks Adam about his relationship with Gemma and he says it's going well. Doug comes in and ignores Pam. She tries to make up with him, but he says he's upset at her pulling the rug out from under him constantly. He reckons the trust has gone between them, and without it their partnership just doesn't work.
"PR" company
Josh has come for an interview. She says he has good credentials. He tells her that he's 18, but he's never done this sort of thing before. She tells him not to worry - there's plenty of money to be earned. Then she tells him to take off his shirt(!)
Number 32
Joe tells Harold that the police are putting a tap on the phone. Harold wonders if Doug could have seen something - after all, he was asleep on the street all night! Joe has been racking his brains trying to think who could be holding a grudge.
Willises - evening
Adam and Gemma are hanging out. Adam is worried about his parents - he's never seen them like this before. But they soon realise they have the house to themselves and start pashing.
"PR" company
The PR woman is telling Josh that he "measures up very well". She tells him that he has to be confident, and also work out a routine and an outfit to wear.
Adam's bedroom
Gemma and Adam are kissing on Adam's bed, watched by Adam's skeleton(!)
GEMMA: Where have you been all my life, Adam Willis!
She asks if it's really over with Caroline and he says it is. It's over with Glen too. Adam says they can slow down a bit if she wants, but Gemma says she's perfectly happy.
ADAM: I just want you to know that this isn't some casual fling for me.
GEMMA: Yeah, I know it's not.
They start kissing again.
