Beverly and Jim ask Helen to come back to live with them - but they don't tell her they haven't entirely reconciled.
Melanie teaches Kelvin to dance and he steps on her feet a lot.
Finally Kelvin gets the dance and kisses Melanie. She says he has hidden talent, takes his glasses off and kisses him properly!
Lochie and Natasha are fighting yet again. Kerry is looking for a pair of earrings she was working on earlier.
In the kitchen, Joe has finished brewing his beer and has plans to make more.
In the living room, Lochie accuses Natasha of taking the earrings - she saw them in her bag. Natasha threatens to thump Sky for drawing on her picture (! - Sky is less than two years old!). Lochie fights with Natasha. Kerry rushes in. Natasha says she just hit her head on the table, but it's clear that Lochie thumped her(!)
Kelvin and Melanie are still kissing(!)
Suddenly she gets up and says that this isn't supposed to be happening. She tells him to start dancing again - she decides to go for swing this time (because there's less physical contact(!)). It doesn't take long before they're kissing again though(!)
Paul is pleased at the new ideas for the gift shop. Christina says that some of the book titles are sold out already. Caroline tells Paul that Christina was the one that came up with the ideas for the gift shop. Unfortunately, Caroline starts to offer suggestions, muscling in on Christina's territory.
Paul has got a bit of a hangover after drinking port last night. Christina starts telling Paul some of her ideas for crocodile skin items. Paul gets very cross - he's already crossed swords with the Animal Rights people. Caroline has an idea for the Waterhole too - boutique beers. Paul likes this idea and Christina looks rather put-out.
Melanie is dancing with the big stuffed pig that Kelvin gave her(!) The bell rings and it's Christina - she asks after the dancing class. Melanie says it wasn't a disaster after all and eventually confesses about the kissing. She says Kelvin seems so shy and awkward - but she has never been kissed in her life as well as that!
MELANIE: I think I'm falling for him!
Melanie is moping round the office thinking about Kelvin and Caroline teases her.
Dorothy comes in to complain about water coming through her ceiling.
MELANIE: Oh, dear! I don't think that's part of the standard service!
Melanie agrees to move Dorothy. They start talking about travel - apparently Melanie's psychic told her she was an Egyptian princess in a former life(!)
DOROTHY: Isn't that amazing, how people were always famous in their previous lives(!)
Paul comes out and is introduced to Dorothy. He says he'll look after the room change himself.
Outside the Waterhole
Melanie and Christina are having lunch. Melanie is furious about Paul taking over the room change from her. Christina is also upset - Paul makes her feel so stupid. Melanie says that you can never let your guard down with Paul.
Just then, Kelvin comes over with a flower for Melanie.
Paul can't get into the reservation file - it's being updated. Caroline says Paul should have left the room changing to Melanie. Paul thinks Melanie is an air-head and can't cope(!) but Caroline says that Melanie has an excellent way with people - and he shouldn't be so abrupt with Melanie.
Just then, Melanie comes in saying she's had a great lunch!
Mangels - Kitchen
Joe is putting his beer away. Kerry is concerned because the inspector is due. She sends him off to change. In the cupboard, the caps pop off the beer and it starts to run out on to the floor!
Melanie is surprised that Dorothy Burke hasn't been moved yet. Caroline has a look at the file while Melanie has a look at some photos. She starts raving on about how sweet Kelvin is and how opposites attract. Caroline is having trouble with the file.
Mangels - Living Room
Joe has cleaned up the beer - but he stinks of it and Kerry is not pleased. Just then, Dorothy and Lochie drop in, closely followed by the advisor. Dorothy observes that the advisor looks young to be in her post(!) The advisor tells Kerry and Joe that there's nothing to worry about - it's just a few routine questions. But they look very nervous.
The Coffee Shop
Caroline tells Christina that Paul's suite is vacant - so she doesn't know why he hasn't moved out. They wonder if he prefers staying with them.
The advisor tells Dorothy off for constantly putting her beak in to the conversation. Kerry explains to the advisor how Lochie broke her arm - she fell out of a tree while looking for a nest. Kerry also explains that Toby and Lochie chained themselves to the railing of their own accord. Dorothy insists that Kerry should have been supervising.
ADVISOR: Mrs Burke, these children aren't toddlers! It's impossible to supervise them every second. It seems to me that these incidents have reasonable explanations.
Just then, Natasha arrives - she's got a black eye. Dorothy wants Natasha to explain how she got the black eye and thinks she is covering for Kerry(!!).
JOE:(to Dorothy) Look, I've had just about enough of you. Get out of my house!
DOROTHY: See how they behave? You can't allow this to continue, Miss Powell, the children are at risk!
ADVISOR: I'm not entirely convinced of that. But I do think it would be a good idea if a Department psychologist came out and investigated the situation.
DOROTHY: Now we might get down to the bottom of this!
Joe and Kerry despair.
