Paul tells Jim that he's planning to build a nightclub.
Kerry is shocked that the children's playground is up for sale.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Josh is looking for Todd and comes across Melissa. Apparently she and Todd are still fighting.
Todd is fiddling with the juke box when Josh comes in. Josh advises him to go and talk to Melissa, but he doesn't want to, even though he does still like her - he thinks it's too late and Melissa isn't interested in him anymore.
Outside the Robinsons
Kerry tells Beverly that the council are planning to sell off the kids' playground. Bronwyn and Sharon come up and offer to help. Beverly suggests that they go down to the council chambers, but Kerry has already been - they wouldn't tell her who the buyer was. They just reckoned that the playground was "under- utilised by the locals". They all agree to help to fight the council.
Kerry asks Sharon how she's getting on with the school gossips and Sharon tells her she's feeling much better after Kerry's help. Bronwyn wishes she could be more help to Sharon, but Kerry says she's doing fine.
Beverly arrives home and Jim is chuffed to hear that she's actually early - it is their anniversary dinner! They hug and agree a truce on their recent fights.
BEVERLY: This evening, you've got me all to yourself!
Outside the Coffee Shop
Todd comes out and Melissa says hello, but he decides not to talk to her and walks off. Josh sits down near Melissa and invites her to come and see a movie tonight. She is skeptical, saying he'll probably just cancel on her again. He eventually manages to talk her into it - just as friends. She wonders what Todd will think about them going out, but Josh says they're just going as friends so it'll be OK.
Kerry is ranting at Des about the playground and insists it isn't under- utilised, just under- maintained by the cancel - the swings have been broken for a few months! Joe says he'll ring his mate Bluey Riley who works for the council to try to find out who's buying the land.
KERRY: Whoever's behind this little scam is going to find themselves with a real fight on their hands!
Jim and Beverly are just heading out to their anniversary dinner. Josh pops around and suggests going to a movie, but Todd would rather stay in and watch the match. While Todd is in the kitchen, Josh rings Melissa and tells her that "something's come up". She's not impressed, but agrees to meet him tomorrow night instead.
Joe is on the phone to his mate from the council. Kerry is making banners. Joe gets off the phone and tells Kerry cryptically that she shouldn't stand in the way of progress. She sees straight through him and Joe is forced to confess that he knows who's buying the land - it's Paul Robinson. It's going to make things awkward on Ramsay Street.
A bloke called Karl has come to pick Sharon up to go to a party. He's quite tactile and Sharon fends him off. He asks Sharon where Bronwyn is and then suggests that they stay home and "get to know each other".
Jim and Beverly have had a nice anniversary meal. They are getting on well and Beverly promises to cut her schedule back soon so they can spend more time together. Jim also wants them to go on a bit of a holiday together. They get talking about Paul and Beverly puts two and two together, realising that Paul is going to buy the land that the playground is on.
Unfortunately Beverly's pager goes off - but it's not the hospital (Beverly turned that pager off), it's a call from Lassiter's - her first one ever. She tells Jim she'll have to answer it - she is on the premises after all! Jim is not happy, saying their anniversary is more important.
Karl is getting a bit fruity with Sharon, saying he knows she's a slut. Sharon is mortified and throws him out of the house.
As he's leaving, Bronwyn comes in. Sharon storms off to her room saying she doesn't need another lecture from Bronwyn.
Jim is still waiting for Beverly to come back - it's after 9pm now and their main course still hasn't been served. He tells the waiter to bring him bill, not looking happy.
Des has drafted a petition about the playground and Kerry is pleased with it. Kerry breaks the news that Paul is buying the land and Des is surprised. He says it complicates things with both Paul and Jim involved, Paul is a mate of Des's. Kerry is unmoved and says being mates is not an excuse to compromise your principles. Des tells Kerry she's right, but Joe is worried about his work - the job at Lassiter's is putting bread on their table. He doesn't want to risk getting Paul off- side.
Sharon comes out to make a cup of tea and Bronwyn apologises for not being there for her and for jumping to stupid conclusions before. Sharon agrees to forgive her and they hug.
Todd is watching the match while Josh broods. He asks Todd to go and see the Tom Cruise movie tomorrow, but Todd has already seen it, although there's something on at the local cinema. Josh goes into the kitchen and calls Melissa again to change their plans again!
Jim comes home and tells Todd that Beverly was called out to a patient - right after the entree!
Beverly finally arrives back to find the restaurant empty - not just of Jim, but all the guests. The waiter tells her that Jim left half an hour ago and Beverly doesn't look pleased.
