Des starts to tells Jane that what happened before he went away shouldn't have happened, but before he can finish, Jane gets the torn postcard out of her bag. She admits she tore it up because she was jealous of Penny. Jane says she did it because she's in love with Des.

He looks very uncomfortable.

Sharon says he can't - Hilary is home. Skinner invites her to his caravan in Elliot Park instead, but Sharon isn't keen - she'd rather just go out instead.
Des's
Des is still a bit shocked about the postcard. He says he'll contact Penny to see how she is. Jane asks Des if he's had time to think about them. Des says he's very flattered by Jane being in love with him, but he's not the one for her. Things got out of hand before he went away, but maybe he was just a bit lonely. He's older than Jane and he's got a child. Jane says she doesn't care about any of that - she loves Des. Des says he's very attracted to Jane, but the answer is still no. Jane wordlessly picks up her bag and leaves.

Des's
Mike can't understand why Des doesn't love Jane. Des says that Jane deserves better than him, and besides, he doesn't feel the same way. Mike says he needs his head read(!) Des thinks Mike is still in love with Jane. Mike denies this, but Des has clearly hit the nail on the head.
Garden of Poppy's parents
Joe and Henry get the statue of Plato out of its crate.
The Office
Jane is sitting at her desk looking rather upset. Mike comes in and asks if she wants to get some lunch with him. She doesn't want to talk though and claims she has too much work. Jane realises that Des has told Mike what happened. She tells him that she couldn't care less what Des thinks.

Garden of Poppy's parents
Joe and Henry are examining the damage to the statue - its nose is fallen off. Joe says maybe they won't notice the missing nose(!)
Just then, Poppy comes to see how they're getting on and they quickly stand in front of the statue to hide it.
Henry tells Joe that there's nothing for it - they'll have to make a new nose(!)
No.30
Sharon arrives home to find Hilary reading a book about birds. Sharon tells Hilary off for fibbing to Bronwyn, but Hilary says her concerns about the belly-dancing were totally justified. Sharon says she's heading out to a hamburger place with some friends for a while - Hilary doesn't approve because Sharon should be studying. But Hilary says that as long as Sharon always truthful about where she's going and with who, that's fine. Sharon looks a bit guilty.
Paul and Gail's house
Bronwyn is practising her belly dancing (she's dressed in the costume) when there's a knock at the door. It's Skinner, and Bronwyn immediately feels self-conscious in her costume. Skinner barges in to wait for Sharon to come home. He comments on Bronwyn's costume and asks her to give him a private show.
Ramsay Street
Jim sees Henry and Joe getting a mysterious sack out of their van(!)
Just then, Helen drives up with Don Townsend in an expensive car. She gets out and tells him she'll call him. Apparently Don is a car salesman and wants to sell Helen an BMW. Helen tells Jim she's thinking about it!
Sharon comes across the street and Henry ropes her in to help him unload his tools.
Paul and Gail's house
Bronwyn asks Skinner to wait outside, but he's not moving. He advances on Bronwyn and says she should get to know him better. Bronwyn goes to turn off the music, but Skinner stops her. He leers at her and tells her the costume is a real turn-on.
BRONWYN: Get out, or I'll scream!
SKINNER: I don't think anyone'll hear you over the music, do you?
He turns up the music.
