Sharon tells Skinner to stop the car, but he won't - he wants Nick to sweat. She tries to take the wheel and make the car pull over, but Skinner keeps driving. He offers to take Sharon wherever she wants to go, so she asks him to take her to Erinsborough. Skinner agrees.
Jane tells Joe off for the state of the living room. It's full of rubbish and dirty cups after Joe's card night. She tells Joe she's going on strike this time - she's fed up of his mess. He'd better have the place clean by the time she gets back from seeing Henry and Bronwyn.
Paul and Gail's
Bronwyn is looking forward to Sharon coming home. Henry answer the door to Jane and Jane tells Bronwyn to be careful what she says to Mike - he's touchy abou Jenny situation.
Jane tells Henry about the state of the Mangel house - she's sick of it. Jane says that only Mrs Mangel could motivate Joe. Henry suddenly tells her that he has a plan!
Bronwyn comes in and sits down at the breakfast bar. Mike is fussing around her and when he's gone into the bedroom to look for something, Jenny tells Bronwyn that's she's so happy to have found Mike - it's like her life is beginning again.
Henry rings Joe pretending to be a friend of Mrs Mangel's, saying she's coming over to inspect the house this afternoon at 2pm. Joe is totally taken in!
Skinner drops Sharon off and she thanks him for the lift(!) She even gives Skinner a kiss on the cheek(!) Helen comes up and says she might see Sharon later at the hospital. Joe runs up to Sharon and says he needs his mother's furniture back.
Mike, Jenny and Bronwyn are sorting through Jamie's old clothes. Jenny starts dreaming about kids - she'd like to have four(!) Bronwyn says she knew a woman in a wheelchair back in Narrabri who had three kids. Mike is still running around getting things for Jenny. Bronwyn tells her that she'll have to learn to do things for herself one day.
Joe is carrying a corner cupboard down the street with the greatest of difficulty. Nick passes him as he struggles.
Nick comes in in a panic - he tells them that Skinner has got Sharon and starts to call the police.
Paul and Gail's house
Henry thinks Mike and Jenny's engagement is great, but Bronwyn and Jane aren't sure. Bronwyn says that she depends on Mike and isn't learning to do things for herself. When Bronwyn has gone, Jane and Henry laugh between themselves at Joe's predicament.
Joe is still carrying furniture down the street and into the Mangel house.
Nick is in a panic about Sharon. Helen comes in and tells Nick that they've been very worried about them. She also tells them that she's seen Sharon kissing goodbye to someone who gave her a lift. Nick says that he's made a total fool of himself - Sharon's been cracking on to his worst enemy.
Apparently Hilary is "as well as can be expected". Mike goes out to play squash with his mate but Jenny would rather stay home. Mike says he'll cancel, but Bronwyn says that he should go.
When Mike has gone, Jenny says that she wishes that she could play squash with Mike. Bronwyn tells her that her life isn't over just because she's in a chair.
Joe is still carrying furniture down the street. He puts down a chair and collapses into it moaning, "Why me?!"
Nick is ringing around looking for Sharon but he can't get hold of her. Sharon comes in at that moment and greets Nick. Nick is furious with her, but she says she's been at the hospital and forgot. Nick thought she'd be dead in a ditch somewhere. He tells Sharon that Nick nearly landed him and Todd in jail and Sharon should stay away from him. But Sharon says she quite likes him and starts banging on about Nick and the farmer's daughter again. Then she storms out.
Henry and Jane come in to Mrs Mangels to find it perfectly clean and all the furniture returned. Joe is sitting exhausted on the sofa. He explains about the house inspector but then twigs that it was Henry who made the call. Joe is not impressed and throws Henry out of the house.
Mike comes in to find Jenny on the ground - she fell out of her chair. Mike says he won't leave Jenny by herself again. But Bronwyn comes in and says that it won't work. If Jenny had done all her exercises, she'd have been able to get back into the chair by herself. She thinks Mike shouldn't mollycoddle Jenny. Jenny cries that she needs Mike and always will. Bronwyn says that she knows that Jenny is scared, but being dependent on Mike won't help her in the long run. She also says that Mike's guilt won't make a marriage work. Jenny can see by Mike's face that Bronwyn has hit close to the mark.
