Joe is entertaining Sky (she is a good kid and always placid!) Joe answers the door to find Toby and Nolene, much to his surprised. Nolene has got the flu, so wondered is Toby could stay with him for Easter. Joe is chuffed to bits.
Kerry comes in and Joe introduces her to Nolene. Joe invites Nolene to stay for a bit of a rest before driving home - she looks dreadful.
The Coffee Shop
Des is pleased to be on holiday - he's off to the UK with Jamie to go to Eileen's wedding. Des suggests that he, Hilary and Harold meet at his house after work to work out the rosters for when he's away. Hilary asks if they can come to her place in case Sharon rings - she's very worried about her.
Nolene is telling Joe and Jane that things are a bit fraught. Also her marriage with Ted has been dissolved since she found out he was already married before her and hadn't got a divorce(!)
Toby suggests that Nolene stays too over Easter - then they can all hang out. She isn't sure, but Joe says it's fine. Nolene accepts gratefully.
Outside the Robinsons
Toby is chuffed that he will be able to see his mum and dad together over Easter.
Hilary, Harold and Des have finished the roster and Hilary goes out to feed her birds. Harold invites Des to dinner, but he says that Jane is coming over. Harold says he's heard that there's romance going on and Des is pleased - the plan is working. He says there's nothing between Jane and him, but letting Joe think there's something going on keeps him off Des's back. Des says they aren't doing any harm.
Hilary comes back and tells them in distress that someone has let the birds out - and she thinks it was Kerry.
Kerry tells Hilary and Harold that she did let the birds out and she's glad she did it. Hilary is apopleptic with rage and storms out. Harold tells Kerry off but Kerry says noone has the right to sell birds in the first place.
Des and Jane are tasting the pasta sauce and pronounce it OK. Mike gives Des a present for Eileen for her wedding and wishes he could go with him, but he's got to look after Jenny. Des goes to get some wine to have with their meal. WHen Des has gone, Mike eyes her amusement and says he thinks there's more going on with Des and Jane than what they're admitting to. Jane insists that they're just friends.
Nolene asks Joe if he's going out with Kerry. Joe says are and Nolene says she doesn't seem his type.
Kerry gives Harold a letter which turns out to be what he calls "libellous scandel" It's a letter from a Betty who says she's never forget "the time she had with him". Kerry teases him but Harold is annoyed. Then he starts telling Kerry off about the birds again. He tells her she must apologise to Hilary - she's gone too far.
The kids are running around madly and the place is a mess. But Toby is happy to have his parents around. Toby wishes that his parents would get back together and Katie says maybe they just need some help(!) Katie says they'll have to think of a way to get them back together. Toby says he hopes it will work, then they can all be happy together again.
Kerry comes round and offers to pay Hilary for the birds. She says she's not sorry though. Hilary tells her that a cat killed one of the birds - they're born and bred in activity and they're not adapted for the wild. Hilary says Kerry has given the birds a death sentence, not freedom. Kerry apologises.
Mike, Des and Jane are just finishing dinner and Mike goes out leaving Des and Jane together. They chat together easily about Nolene and Toby. Des is a bit worried how Jamie will cope without a mother when he gets older. Jane says maybe he could advertise - "mother wanted, father included"(!) But Des says he doesn't want someone just for Jamie, but for him too. Jane says maybe he'll meet someone at the wedding and a bit of a moment comes between them. At that moment Jamie starts crying however and Des goes off to tend to him.
Toby and Katie are trying to think of ways to get Joe and Nolene back together but their ideas aren't very good. Joe comes out and says he's just going over to Des's but he won't stay because Jane is over there.
Nolene sits down with Toby and Katie. Toby and Katie tell Nolene that Joe has been saying nice things about her, like her being pretty and that sort of thing.
Des is looking for Jamie's panda when Joe comes to the door. Des looks horrified, so on a whim he pulls her down to the sofa and...well, snogs her senseless(!) Joe comes in and sees this and makes a swift, embarrassed exit. When Joe has gone, Des bursts out laughing but Jane is still lying on the sofa looking somewhat winded. Des apologises and says he didn't mean to offend her. Jane sits up and says she wasn't offended. They start kissing for real.
