The Coffee Shop
Madge is going to make Jane's wedding cake. Jane is hoping that Mrs Mangel will be able to make it back for the wedding - they're currently touring Scotland. Jane's mum will be coming though.
Paul comes in to see Harold. He says there's been a double-booking for a conference and asks Harold to open tomorrow. Harold isn't sure he'll be able to get staff on a Sunday, but Madge thinks Sharon will be able to fill in. Paul asks Jane to fill in for a couple of hours too. She isn't keen as Mark is flying in from the USA tonight but reluctantly agrees.
Harold and Madge tell Paul that Henry and Bronwyn have split up and Henry is mooching around the house feeling sorry for himself. Madge really thought that they would go the distance. Paul is surprised that she thought they were that serious.
Clarkes
Sharon thinks that Henry wrote the letter (which we don't know the contents of yet). Bronwyn doesn't think so though, but it had to be someone she knows. Bronwyn can't understand why it was in Aunt Edie's letterbox as everyone she knows round there knows she's moved out. Sharon says it's no big deal getting a letter that refers to her as "a little tart" and tells Bronwyn not to worry about it. Bronwyn says she's going to find out who wrote it though and then make them eat their words.
Robinsons
Gail is helping Helen with her exercises. She is feeling smothered by the attentions of her family. Paul brings her some tea and fusses over her. Helen asks Paul how his bid for the Daniels Corporation is going. Paul says it's not easy when Gail won't let him remortgage the house - he'll have to withdraw his offer. Gail says it's for the best but Helen says Rosemary will be disappointed to have the Australian end of the business go out of the family.
Mangels
Jane is introducing Mark to Joe who seems to like him. Jane is worried that Mark's mother won't like her but Mark says his mother will adore her, even though the wedding announcement was a surprise. She's arriving next week so Jane suggests organising her a room at Lassiters. But Mark doesn't think it'll be big enough - his mother never travels anywhere without her entourage of maid, butler and chef!
Robinsons
Helen and Madge are arranging some flowers and having a chat. She tells Helen that Henry is still moping about Bronwyn. Madge says that the two of them were made for each other - like Jane and Mark are.
The Office
Mark is kissing Jane goodbye as she has to work that morning. When he's gone, Jane tells Gail that they have to look for a house for Mark's mother and her entourage to stay in. Jane says Mark's mother is intimidating her but Gail smiles and says Mark loves Jane and so will his mother.
The Coffee Shop
Joe has brought a dishwasher to the Coffee Shop, not realising that the Coffee Shop was opening that day. Harold tries to send him off but Joe manipulates him, saying that Aunt Edie will be unbearable if he doesn't install it. Harold relents and says he has an hour to install it.
Robinsons
Bronwyn is telling Helen and Madge about the nasty letter. Madge says it's definitely not Henry and Bronwyn doesn't think so either. They can't think who it could be but suggest that Madge asks Henry in case he saw anyone when he was mowing the lawns. They agree to keep their eyes peeled.
The Office
Jane and Gail are discussing wedding arrangements, much to Paul's annoyance who is on the phone to Rosemary. Gail tells Jane that she's glad Paul didn't put them under financial strain by remortgaging the house. Paul comes out and tells Gail that the next buyer lined up is Derek Morris - and if he takes over, God help them all.
The Coffee Shop
Joe is installing the dishwasher and Harold is agitated. Joe offers to show Harold how to work the dishwasher, but he's busy and says he can handle it.
The Office
Paul is upset about Derek Morris and Gail tells him to calm down. He says they have no option - they have to buy Rosemary out.
Mark comes in to collect Jane and Gail sends her off with him. Paul starts to ring Rosemary, telling Gail that they'll both be sacked if Derek Morris takes over and then they'll definitely lose their financial security. Gail says neither of them will have a problem getting another job but Paul says he's worked hard to make a go of Lassiters and he's not going to lose it now.
The Coffee Shop
Madge comes in, much to Harold's relief. He can't work out how to start the dishwasher so Madge offers to have a look at it. She goes into the kitchen and puts an apron. Then she pours a cup of detergent into the dishwasher and starts it, not realising that the powder is industrial strength! Then she goes to put the rubbish out.
Outside the Coffee Shop
Mark and Jane are kissing when Joe come up. They sit down for a chat.
Sharon asks Bronwyn about the letter but she's still confused about it.
Sharon takes Joe, Jane and Mark's order but says they can't have coffee as they've run out of clean cups!
The Coffee Shop
Harold server some customers and says aloud that he thinks they're over the worst of it. In the background, unbeknownst to Harold, the bubbles from the dishwasher are nearly up to the kitchen ceiling! Suddenly Harold sees the bubbles and calls out to Madge.
