Mrs Mangel's
Mrs Mangel is getting Bouncer to perform some tricks. When she hears the door she quickly hurries him outside. When Harold arrives she is shocked to see the state of him and he explains what has happened.
Ramsays
Charlene and Scott are still laughing about Madge's water throwing incident. Madge is feeling slightly ashamed about what she did and is also unhappy that Harold kept his paper job from her. Henry arrives home and is in a rush to get ready for work. Scott wants to sort out the gardening business but Henry doesn't have the time.
The Office
Gail is still certain she was the one who clinched the deal with Lou. She says her charm was what got Lou through the front door. Paul falls for her charm too and Gail says they should take a few days off so that they can spend some time together. Someone entering reception interrupts them. Paul goes outside and is accosted by Crystal who plants a kiss on his lips! Gail appears in the doorway and wonders what is going on.
Ramsays
Charlene, Scott and Henry are discussing the break up of the gardening partnership. They can't agree on a settlement and Madge tells them she's sick of the bickering. She suggests they go and talk to Paul and use him as a mediator.
The Office
Crystal apologises and says she assumed Paul and Gail were still an ‘open' couple. Paul tells her they're very ‘closed' now and Gail explains they are faithful to each other. Lou arrives and introduces himself to Crystal. Paul gives Lou a draft contract and Crystal overhears them talking figures. When Lou leaves the office Crystal mentions that she's free that evening and Lou escorts her to the Waterhole.
Robinsons
Jim and Beverly are talking about Todd and Katie and the problems that are occurring. It once again gets personal and Beverly thinks Jim is listing points why they shouldn't have a family of their own. Helen tells them to stop arguing as Katie is already upset and their raised voices won't help.
Mrs Mangels Garden
Katie is playing and picks a flower to give to Beverly. Mrs Mangel sees her and is furious. Katie says she only came over to play with Bouncer. Harold comes outside and says Katie's behaviour is hardly surprising given that Todd tried to steal from The Coffee Shop. Katie sticks up for Todd and explains he wasn't going to steal anything, the food had already been paid for.
Ramsays
Harold arrives and tells Madge he is going to give her the opportunity to apologise. Madge threatens him with the iron she is holding which doesn't surprise Harold who declares she has a violent temper.
Harold: Let's face it Madge. You are a shrew and I'm not at all sure that the thought of taming you is any longer an attractive proposition.
Robinsons
Mrs Mangel has told Beverly and Jim about the ‘stolen' flower. They stick up for Katie but Mrs Mangel says ‘her type' is not welcome in her house or garden. Jim says Todd and Katie have been going through a hard time of late but Mrs Mangel says it's not her a problem. She says she's had enough of troublesome youngsters on the street before leaving.
The Office
Charlene, Scott and Henry have told Paul and Gail about their business problem. They want Paul to settle their dispute. Charlene explains the Liquid Beauty fiasco and Henry asks if she and Scott would accept a cut of the profits until they get the full amount they put into the Liquid Beauty. Charlene and Scott agree it's a good solution and the three amigos do their classic handshake and thank Paul for sorting out their problem. Paul and Gail look bemused, as he didn't actually say a word.
Waterhole
Charlene, Scott and Henry arrive and see Lou flirting with Crystal. Henry has remembered who Lou reminds him off; Fred Mitchell, his and Charlene's Dad. Charlene sees the light and confronts Lou. She says he can't buy her support anymore and says she won't allow her mother to marry another womaniser. Madge walks in at the crucial point and then walks out followed by Charlene and Scott.
Robinsons
Jim asks Helen if she's heard from Frank – she hasn't but she's not surprised about that. Beverly and Jim settle down for a talk about starting a family with Helen playing mediator. Jim says he has already raised his family and is now looking forward to being a grandfather. Beverly admits that whilst she never wanted children when they got together she now does, and didn't think Jim would stand in her way. Helen says she can't be of any help as she understands both points of view – she is worried that they could pull their marriage apart if they don't stop pulling in opposite directions.
Ramsays
Madge is shocked that Lou has come all this way to court her and is now flirting with some floozy. Charlene tells her to look on the bright side – least she realised before she married him. Scott and Charlene agree that Harold is the right man for Madge and from now on its all systems go. Madge wonders if it is that simple and tells them that Harold came over to tell her he didn't want to see her anymore.
