Mrs Mangels Garden
Katie is playing and picks a flower to give to Beverly. Mrs Mangel sees her and is furious. Katie says she only came over to play with Bouncer. Harold comes outside and says Katie's behaviour is hardly surprising given that Todd tried to steal from The Coffee Shop. Katie sticks up for Todd and explains he wasn't going to steal anything, the food had already been paid for.
Harold arrives and tells Madge he is going to give her the opportunity to apologise. Madge threatens him with the iron she is holding which doesn't surprise Harold who declares she has a violent temper.
Harold: Let's face it Madge. You are a shrew and I'm not at all sure that the thought of taming you is any longer an attractive proposition.

Paul and Gail look bemused, as he didn't actually say a word.

Jim asks Helen if she's heard from Frank – she hasn't but she's not surprised about that. Beverly and Jim settle down for a talk about starting a family with Helen playing mediator. Helen says she can't be of any help as she understands both points of view – she is worried that they could pull their marriage apart if they don't stop pulling in opposite directions.
Madge is shocked that Lou has come all this way to court her and is now flirting with some floozy. Charlene tells her to look on the bright side – least she realised before she married him. Madge wonders if it is that simple and tells them that Harold came over to tell her he didn't want to see her anymore.
