Waterhole
Gail is telling Henry that she'll be spending Christmas in New York. Henry says he's sorry about her and Paul splitting up.
When Henry has gone to the kitchen, Paul comes in. He asks he to make a speech tomorrow, but she says she won't be there. Paul looks a bit gutted, but just says he'll sort out her severance pay. Gail kisses Henry goodbye.
GAIL: (to Paul) See you later.
Paul snaps at Henry for not getting the decorations up yet.
Robinsons
Lucy and Helen are delighted to hear that Beverly and Jim are getting married. Lucy says that Hilary should match up Helen next(!) Helen says she just wishes Paul and Gail would sort things out.
Paul and Gail's
Gail is looking sadly at a framed picture of her and Paul. She puts it in her bag. There's a knock at the door and it's Jane. She's come to help Gail with her packing. They chat about Jane's own encounter with Glen.
Robinsons
Scott congratulates Jim and Beverly on their engagement. Jim suggests they have an impromptu party - drinks at the Waterhole tomorrow. He says he'll invite Gail, but doesn't know if she'll want to come if Paul's there.
Paul and Gail's
Gail says that she probably won't come back and that Paul is welcome to live in the house.
The Coffee Shop
Tony offers to help Sally with her car. Jim and Beverly come in and tell them about their engagement. They invite them to their impromptu party at the Waterhole.
Paul and Gail's
Paul is carrying some stuff out. Gail tells him that she's sorry for everything. Helen comes in and invite Paul and Gail to the impromptu engagement party. They're not keen to go, but finally agree. She asks Paul and Gail if they'll let her mediate for them as a last-ditch effort. Paul says their situation is different, but Helen won't take no for an answer. She wants them to give themselves a chance.
When Helen has gone Gail does not look at all impressed. She tells Paul they must tell his family about the marriage of convenience.
Mangels
Glen comes to see Jane and invites her to a place he knows about 3 hours away. He wants them to stay in a hotel. But Jane isn't too keen - she says she doesn't know Glen well enough. But Glen says it'll be a good opportunity to get to know each other! Jane agrees to go out for lunch. He kisses her on the cheek.
Paul and Gail
Gail hugs Scott goodbye and he says he'll really miss her.
Robinsons
Paul has turned up at Helen's but he looks very uncomfortable. Helen says he won't put them through the hoops, she just wants them to talk. Gail arrives and tells Paul that she is resolved that they must tell him family about the marriage of convenience. Paul gives the prenuptual agreement document to Helen. She is shocked.
(Later)
Jim, Beverly and scott have also read the document and can't believe what Paul and Gail did. Beverly tries to leave saying that it's a family matter, but Jim says that she's family now. Lucy runs in to see Beverly's ring and gets all excited. She starts asking Beverly about bridesmaids(!)
Scott is depressed about Paul and Gail.
The Coffee Shop
Tony Romeo and Sally are talking. Henry comes in and Sally gives him a Christmas present. He asks Sally to come out with him, but she admits she's going out with Tony. Henry is not impressed and leaves in a strop. Sally says to Tony that she hadn't wanted to hurt Henry and now she has.
Outside Lassiter's
Henry sees Jane and she tells him she's off out for lunch with Glen. She and Glen drive off. Just then Scott runs past and tells Henry he's got a few things to do, so can't hang out with him.
The Office
Scott comes to read Paul the riot act. He tells him not to be so stupid - he loves Gail, no matter how their marriage started. Finally Paul snaps.
PAUL: Alright! Alright, I do love her! So what?
Scott says at least he's got Paul to admit it.
