At the Ramsays
Charlene asks Scott if she heard him right. He tells her it'd be fantastic.
CHARLENE: Yeah I suppose it would. But us, how?
SCOTT: Oh boy, how? You remember back at school right, there were 2 bunny rabbits then all of a sudden there was about 12
CHARLENE: Don't you start getting smart with me pal.

She reminds him of all the reasons they shouldn't have a baby - no money, no house... he points out that these are the same reasons everyone used for them not getting married and how wrong were they about that? Charlene considers and says for a minute there... Scott stops her from saying she agreed with their parents by telling her he loves her and giving her a kiss. This seems to change Charlene's mind because all of a sudden she has agreed with him, and the pair of them are cluckier than mother hens.
At the Clarkes
Henry and Sally return from their trip all happy to face Des, who isn't. His mum still won't talk to him. Sally feels rotten but Des tries to make her feel better. Henry tries to ruin things by inviting her for dinner but amazingly it picks her back up. Des asks Henry to tell Scott he wants his son back - he's due for his bottle. Henry - "Scott is?" Des tells him to get out of there.
At the Ramsays
Scott and Charlene are still brooding over baby Jamie, at least until Charlene points out that Jamie has a dirty nappy. Scott quickly hands him over! Henry and Sally walk in to be told the good news - Henry thinks they are mad. He lectures them on how they'd be giving up 16 or 17 years of their lives and asks how much consideration they gave it - 5 minutes? 10? Scott gets all protective and tells him to ease up but Henry reminds them they're talking about a baby, not something you play with for 5 minutes and then hand back (at this point you can clearly see baby Jamie has been sick all down his chin and no-one wipes him clean poor thing). Scott says it's their decision to make and they go to take Jamie back to Des. Henry tries to get Sally on his side and asks wouldn't she regret taking on all that responsibility at their age? He doesn't get the answer he hoped for as she tells him probably not, "But then some people accept responsibility better than others."
At the Clarkes
Charlene takes Jamie into the nursery to change him and Des points out that she obviously loves kids - they can get planning for the day they start their own family. Scott says it's too late for planning, it's gone beyond that. Clearly thinking Charlene is pregnant Des congratulates Scott and asks when the big day is. When he finds out she isn't pregnant yet he says that's different. He thinks they need to think things through properly and asks if they've told his dad. Scott says "you mean have I asked him? No and I'm not going to, I'm gonna tell him." He walks out to do just that and Des mutters "Good luck mate!" after him.
At the Robinsons
Paul and Jim are discussing finding a replacement for Greg. Jim warns Paul he is working too hard, it must be difficult without Gail (dig dig). Scott comes in and asks if he can have a word, dramatically saying he's a married man and wants to be treated like an adult. Jim holds back a smile and says that sounds fair. Scott blurts out that he and Charlene have decided to have a baby and Paul spits coffee all over the kitchen floor. He makes a sharp exit saying this is a definitely father/son territory. Scott testily tells Jim that if he's going to lecture he'd better get it out of the way now because he doesn't want him yelling at him when Charlene gets there. Jim calmly says that he won't say anything until Charlene gets there, and then he just wants two minutes of their time, after which they can do what they like. Does that seem fair? Scott agrees.
At the Ramsays
Henry apologises to Sally for going on about Charlene and Scott before and they agree not to argue about it. He lights candles and turns the light out for a romantic dinner together. Sally turns it back on. She doesn't feel romantic.
At the Robinsons
Jim tells Scott and Charlene he thinks they're two people very much in love who've fallen for the oldest, most natural trap in the world. He worries that one day they'd wake up and wonder what happened to all the good times they were supposed to be having. Scott reminds him that he was his age when he had Paul and Jim agrees he wouldn't have had it any other way - but it was hard. If it hadn't been for Ann's strength there were times they wouldn't have made it.
SCOTT: So what are you telling us to do?
JIM: I'm not telling you, I'm asking you. To think about it one more time. And if you come up with the same answer I'll give you all the support I can. And that was less than two minutes.
Charlene gets up and gives him a big hug. Scott looks on and smiles.
Next morning, on Ramsay Street
Paul is in his dressing gown, bringing in the newspaper. Scott jogs over and Paul remarks that he's a bit keen, jogging on a Sunday. He asks how the family punch up went but Scott tells him Jim was fantastic. He left the decision up to him and Charlene - Charlene is now a fan for life. Des walks up, looking like death warmed up. He complains that Jamie is a rotten little kid who kept him awake all night. Scott comments that yesterday he said how great he was. Des - "Oh he is. I can't wait till bedtime to spend another sleepless night".
At the Ramsays
Henry is reading the paper at the kitchen table. Charlene comes in and he creeps to her, saying he's made her some toast. She asks what happened to him thinking her and Scott were a couple of idiots? He says if they're happy he'll butt out and mind his own business. Slightly placated she goes off to make tea but he calls her back to look at an advert in the paper - a European trip railing through 7 major countries. He's thinking of going. She gets keen to go herself but he craftily says she can't go, she'll have a baby. She laughs and says people take their babies with them but Henry reckons it'd pick up all sorts in Europe - you'd have to stay in a mega buck hotel just to get clean water (What?! Henry Ramsay!). Charlene gets angry with him - "Just rack off Henry!" and he storms out.
Outside
Henry asks Sally if she's still speaking to him after last night. She says they just had different ideas about where they were headed. He tells her he really does like her. She says she would like them to be good friends, if she were staying in Erinsborough. Henry can't believe she's leaving and asks her again if she wants to stay at his place. She says it's not a good idea. Henry has (yet another) good idea and rushes off to speak to Des.
At the Clarkes
Henry breathlessly tells Des Sally is leaving as she can't live at the Clarkes - but! What about the staff quarters at Lassiters? They're expensive, but if some influential bank manager was to have a word with Paul he might give her reduced rates. Des twigs that Sally is important to Henry, who tells him "She's the best thing that's happened to this place. And to me."
At the Ramsays
Scott returns from his run and asks Charlene why she isn't still in bed, he was going to make her breakfast. She remarks "That'll be the day!" and he insists he was, but he's glad she's up because he wanted to give her a kiss too (could have done that in bed then she could have had breakfast and a kiss...). He tells her he's just bumped into Des who didn't look too good - the baby kept him up all last night. Charlene answers that babies do that. He goes to get a drink and sees the European trip article, he comments that he'd like to do it. Charlene gets angry because she knows what Henry was trying to do and sends Scott off for a shower. When he's gone she rips out the article and scrumples it up.
Outside
Des comes out of Paul's and says he's got Sally 50% off the going rate at Lassiters and she can move in when she likes. Henry is thrilled. Des remarks that he must be really serious about Sally and he admits he is. Sally comes out and they go over to give her the good news. She says Jamie is being cranky and Henry suggests sending him over to Scott and Charlene. Des goes inside to see to him and Henry seizes the opportunity to tell Sally about Lassiters. She breaks the news to him that she's going home. Today. Henry is gutted.
