Paul apologises to Gail for acting like a kid. She accepts and agrees to come back to Ramsay Street.
Charlene is waiting outside the workshop, it's raining. Gail walks up, holding an umbrella. She wants to know where Rob is. But Charlene says he isn't in yet. Gail is not impressed But Charlene says, he'll show up. They go sit in a car, because it's warmer, and they continue their chat. They talk about Lucy and Rick. And Gail asks how Charlene and Scott are doing. Charlene says they're scraping through. Gail tells Charlene she and Scott are always welcome for a meal at nr 22. But Charlene thinks Scott won't accept charity. Gail says it's hardly charity, accepting a dinner invitation from your family. Rob still hasn't arrived, so Gail leaves to go find him.
Daphne is ironing when Des come in. He has made an excuse to leave work and call in. Daphne thinks Des is checking up on her. She insists she hasn't changed her mind about going into the shop today, and taking Jamie with her. Des says that Beverly doesn't think it's healthy for Jamie to be in the Coffee Shop at such a young age. He explains that the people coming in and out spread viruses and Bev reckons Jamie is too young to be exposed. Daphne says she hadn't really thought about it like that, and agrees to stay home. Des assures Daphne that it won't be for long - Eileen will be able to babysit for Daphne to go back to work. Daphne is not pleased at the prospect of Eileen spoiling Jamie(!)
Des brings his car in for a grease and oil change. Also for a quick service. Charlene has a look under the bonnet. Rob tells her to go and make a cup of tea(!)
Lucy's friend Rick is pushing her around in a wheelchair. They are fooling around and playing at being a royalty and butler. Rick gets scared and Lucy asks him if he's scared about dying. Lucy says she was scared before her operation. She wonders what happens when you die. Rick doesn't want to talk about death. He tells Lucy off for badgering him about it.
Eileen is eating her lunch when Harold comes in to get his glasses. She quickly hides the meat on her plate in a serviette because Harold thinks she's sticking to vegetarianism(!) Harold sits down to read a vegetarian cookbook and inadvertantly sits on the serviette with the meat in. To distract him, Eileen invites Harold out to a vegetarian restaurant tonight. When Harold gets up, there is a gravy stain on his trousers, but luckily for Eileen he hasn't noticed!
Rob is being a bit laid-back about completing the work on the cars. Charlene is quite shocked. Rob heads off to the pub.
Madge is doing the laundry when Eileen comes in. Madge tells Eileen off for suggesting to Mrs Mangel that she tries for Madge's job.
Eileen tells Madge that Harold has invited her out for dinner. Madge is shocked, but then tells Eileen that Harold can do whatever he likes!
Charlene is working on a car. Gail shows up again, asking for her dad. Charlene says he's having lunch. Gail wants to know if Rob even bothered to show up at all. Charlene says he was there, he just left late for his lunch, and that Rob is great to work for now. Des arrives to get his car. He says he feels safe knowing Rob fixed his car. Gail thinks he sounds like a commercial. Des wants to know how much he owes. But Charlene says Rob will run up the bill later. Des drives off. Charlene and Gail look rather funny watching Des drive away.
Madge and Lucy are chatting about Rick. Lucy says the only boy she really cared about is Bradley, but he hasn't written for ages.
Rick comes in to see Lucy as Madge is leaving. He apologises for snapping at her before. He just didn't want to talk about death, that's all. They make up and agree to be friends.
Daph and Gail are having lunch. Harold comes to their table asking how their meal was. Daph and Gail agree it was delicious and the new chef is doing a great job. Harold agrees, but he says that it's not like having Daph there, and everybody misses her. He then turns his back towards Gail as he bends down to look at Jamie. Gail now has a clear view of a food stain that happens to be on Harold's backside. Her expression Her expression looking at it, is hilarious, but so, so random!!! She ends up not saying anything, but it's so funny. Harold offers them coffee and walks off. Gail and Daph talk about Daph missing work, but Jamie coming first. Gail suggests that maybe a childcare center at the complex could be a good idea, for Daph and also for Lassiters' working mums. Daph thinks this is a great idea. But Gail says she has to run it by Paul and Rosemary first.
Madge comes in and Daphne tells her about the creche idea.
Just then, the phone rings and it's for Gail. Madge is frosty with Harold and tells Daphne that he's invited Eileen out for dinner. Daphne's expression is shocked!
Charlene is still working on a car on her own. Rob still hasn't come back. Paul shows up at the workshop, and talks to Charlene about Rob. Charlene says Rob's fine now. But Paul gets his first clue about Rob's current work ethic.
Rob comes in. Gail walks up to him, saying what he is doing there. Eileen then walks in, looking rather flashy. And everybody kind of stares at her. Gail continues her tirade with Rob saying he's supposed to be at the workshop. But Rob is not worried. Gail storms off saying he can't leave all the work to Charlene.
Eileen gets something in her eye and Harold is trying to help her get it out. But from Madge's angle, it looks like they are kissing!
When Eileen has gone, Madge tells Harold that he is a sanctimonious hypocrite. Then she accepts a dinner date with Rob in front of Harold. He is not pleased. Madge storms off.
MADGE: And change your trousers. You look disgusting!
