Charlene has been on the phone to Jane who has told her about Mrs Mangels dinner fiasco. Charlene tells Madge what has happened and Madge says she really should have told her that Harold was a vegetarian. Charlene tells Madge that Daphne won't come to the hen night if it's at Mrs Mangels. Madge says they can have it at the Ramsay house. Henry tells them that he is organising a bucks night for Scott. Charlene is worried but Henry tells her to trust him.
Hilary has found Victoria and put her back in the cage. She is also insistent that a trap be set for Albert. Charlene arrives and Scott introduces her to Hilary. Hilary goes to get their wedding present out of her case and Charlene tells Scott she doesn't think Hilary likes her. Scott explains that Hilary was an old friend of Ann's so even though she can be a pain, they tolerate her. Hilary comes back out with the wedding present. Charlene opens the present and finds two baby romper suits! She thanks Hilary and says they will come in handy when she and Scott decide to have kids. Hilary is confused and says she assumed Scott and Charlene were marrying because Charlene was pregnant. Helen assures Hilary that is not the case and Hilary is suitably relieved!
Hilary hopes she hasn't upset Charlene. Helen says Scott was pretty angry at her insinuation. Charlene finds the whole thing amusing and says she will give the baby clothes to Daphne. Jim receives a phone call from Paul and makes excuses to leave.
Paul, Des, Henry and Mike are discussing Scott's stag night. Henry says he already has an idea; it came to him whilst he was working in the cellar. Jim arrives and Henry waits for him to get a drink, as he doesn't want to repeat himself. Paul isn't sure Jim should be present as he's not keen on practical jokes but Jim says he wants to know what they have planned.
Paul tells Mrs Mangel he thinks she is doing really well in her job, given the circumstances. She tells him everything is fine apart from a few run ins with Dean Bartholomew. Paul tells her that at one time Dean was her only friend so she should be friendly. Mrs Mangel finds that hard to believe given her popularity! Paul talks to Mrs Mangel about the lawsuit and says she is very brave to take on such a gamble. Mrs Mangel doesn't follow and Paul tells her if she loses she could have to pay up to $20,000. Mrs Mangel is clearly shaken and Paul has clearly told her that to save Des and Daphne.
Dan and Edna arrive and Edna forbids Dan to drink at the stag night. Charlene tells Dan and Edna about the baby clothes fiasco and Dan says that's typical Robinson behaviour. Madge says she was hoping the wedding may make him forget the feud but it seems not!
Outside The Coffee Shop
Mrs Mangel tells Des despite her deep pain she is aware the court case may also cause he and Daphne some grief. Therefore she has decided to agree to an out of court settlement at $25,000. Des refuses and says he'll take his chances in court. Mrs Mangel keeps dropping her offer until she gets to $1,000. Des agrees and tells Mike that Daphne is not to find out about this.
Helen and Hilary are still cleaning. Lucy is horrified when the hoover comes out in case Albert is sucked up. Helen suggests they go and get ready for Charlene's hen night. Lucy is behind the couch looking for Albert when Mike, Henry and Dan arrive. Henry says he can't wait to see Scott in the chicken costume and Mike wonders how they will get him in to the cellar. Dan says that Scott's a Robinson and will believe anything.
Scott is getting ready and asks Jim if they boys have anything planned for him. Jim tells him he's not keen on practical jokes and won't let things get out of hand. Jim leaves and Lucy arrives telling Scott she knows what the boys are planning to do. She says she'll tell him their plans for $10.00. Scott agrees for $2.00.
Lucy tells Scott they are planning to put him in the chicken outfit and dump him in the cellar. Scott is surprised and tells Lucy not to let on that he knows.
Helen, Lucy and Hilary arrive and Hilary starts off slating Madge's furniture and Edna's dress! Hilary apologises once more for the baby mistake and says she had no right to assume she wouldn't be a virgin on her wedding day!
The party is in full swing, although the only guests are the Ramsay Street boys! Paul makes a toast and wants to present Scott with a bottle of champagne in the cellar.
