Lucy falls into a drain.
Scott is studying hard. Nikki comes in and starts to make lunch, but Scott says that he's sent Lucy to the Coffee Shop to buy lunch.
Down the drain
Lucy is lying unconscious.
Madge is trying to make the best of things and says she'll get another job. Charlene feels very guilty but Madge tells her to forget it and goes off to look in the job listings. Madge says she was quite enjoying being a barmaid! Charlene tells Madge she's just popping out to the library.
The Coffee Shop
Daphne is having trouble with her coffee machine which is spouting steam from every orifice. Clive starts talking to the coffee machine encouraging it to heal itself! Eventually it starts to settle down but Clive says that machine needs a rest!
Clive tells Susan at a table that he's finding working as a doctor again a bit boring. Susan tells Clive that Paul has rejected her completely. Clive sees that Susan really is in love with Paul - he tells her that Paul will come round.
When Susan has gone, Daphne asks Clive if things are looking up with him and Susan(!) Clive starts to try to fix the coffee machine again.
Charlene comes in to see Paul. She tells Paul that she's come off her own back to beg for Madge's job. Paul says that Madge has wasted his time and his money by walking out on the management course halfway through. Charlene says that Madge did it for her - she was in trouble and needed her mother. She tells Paul that he'd do the same if someone he loved was in trouble. Charlene starts to cry and says it's not fair for Madge to be fired for showing responsibility to her children. Paul relents and says that Madge can start back in the Waterhole tomorrow.
Ruth arrives home and is surprised to find that Lucy has gone out to buy lunch. She tells Scott off for sending Lucy out when she wasn't even very well. Nikki says that Lucy has been gone almost an hour. Ruth is worried and says she'd better go and look for her. Nikki offers to look for Lucy. Scott tells Ruth that Lucy pulls the wool over Ruth's eyes all the time and that she's too soft on her.
By the drain
The cat Lucy tried to rescue escapes from the drain, just as Nikki walks past on her way to the Coffee Shop. Lucy is still unconscious.
Susan is pleased that Paul has given Madge her job back. Paul says that Charlene has made him think - about how he didn't go to see Terri when she needed him. He thinks that if he had things could have been different. Paul says that he's shutting Susan out because he swore he'd never get involved with anyone again after what happened with Terri. He thinks it's for the best that they've split up. Susan says that sometimes it can be worth taking the risk. But Paul says he just wants them to be friends.
The Coffee Shop
Charlene manages to work the cappuccino machine and Daphne offers her a job! She says she's too busy though.
Nikki comes in and Charlene and her make up for the row they had the other day.
Nikki asks after Lucy, but Daphne hasn't seen her at all.
Ray comes round with a bunch of roses for Madge by way of an apology. He tells her that he's spoken to Warren about his drinking and sorted a few things out. Madge offers Ray a cup of coffee, but he says he can't stay - he's just bought a new factory in Wadonga (that was a bit sudden!!) Ray says that he's going to be away for a while. Madge invites him to dinner when he comes back, but it's clear that this is the end of the road. They bid each other goodbye saying that it's been a lot of fun.
Nikki reports to Ruth that Lucy hasn't been at the Coffee Shop at all. Scott isn't concerned, but says he'll go out with Nikki to look for Lucy. He admits that Lucy said she might run away with the lunch money, but she was just joking. Ruth looks worried.
When Scott and Nikki have left to look for Lucy, Ruth calls Jim to tell him what's happened.
Madge is putting Ray's roses in a vase and is delighted to hear from Charlene that she can have her job back at the Waterhole.
Madge tells Charlene that she and Ray have split up. Charlene is upset, but Madge says that there are a lot of things about Ray that she didn't like and she's better of getting out early. Charlene says that Madge always seems to lose out. But Madge says that Ray has got her out of her mindset that she didn't want to go out with any man, so now she's prepared for the future. Someone else might come along.
Down the drain
Lucy regains consciousness and stands up. She realises she can't get out and starts calling for help.
Scott and Nikki pass by, but they're too far out of range to hear Lucy's cries. Lucy continues to call for help.
LUCY: Help me! Help me, somebody! Help me!
