Charlene tells Scott to go and get Clive to help Susan. Madge is amazed to hear that Clive knows all about Susan and the baby. Charlene tells her there's no time to talk about it now and Madge reluctantly helps her to get Susan on to the couch.
Outside the Ramsays
Scott runs up to Clive and tells him what's happened. He's surprised to hear that Susan is out of hospital.
Clive talks to Susan about what happened - she says she just fainted. Madge is very crochetty but agrees that Clive can use her bedroom to examine Susan.
MADGE: (to Charlene, about Sam) Here, take him. Well go on, take him! He's got nothing to do with me.
Helen is appalled to hear that Sam is Fred's son and can't understand why Charlene didn't just tell the truth. Helen is also surprised that Scott is taking Charlene's side as what she did was cruel, selfish and hurtful. She says that Madge had got attached to Sam, think he was her grandson. Paul isn't impressed with Scott either. Scott says he can't wait until Jim gets back.
Garden of the Ramsays
Charlene explains to Madge that she had to lie because otherwise Madge would never have taken Sam in. Madge isn't impressed, but Charlene goes on that Susan stood by her in the past, and she had to return the favour. She apologises to Madge, but insists that Sam had to come first.
Clive comes out and says that Susan's health isn't very good, but she won't go back to the hospital without the baby. Madge says to let Susan get on with things, but Clive says that's impossible - Susan is too ill.
CHARLENE: She can have my bed!
MADGE: No she can't!
CHARLENE: Yes she can!
MADGE: No, Charlene, she is not staying in this house!
CHARLENE: Well if she goes, I go too.
Charlene and Clive beg Madge to let Susan and Sam stay as Susan is too sick to move. Sam starts to cry at that moment and Madge softens a bit.
MADGE: Alright. Just for tonight and then out they go!
Madge is clearly very hurt.
Later at the Ramsays
Tom is making tea and tells Madge that it was very kind of her to let Susan stay. But Madge and Shane are still upset about the situation with the ownership of the house. Shane says that he doesn't think it's his home anymore - he's going to move out.
Paul is moaning to Helen about Shane wanting time off. But Helen says she runs Home James and it's her decision.
Shane comes in and asks Paul if he can rent Jack Lassiter's old caravan. Paul thinks about it and thinks it's a good idea - if Shane keeps an eye on the place and maintains it, he'll even lower the rent.
Jack Lassiter's Caravan
A motorbike rider rides up and sneaks into the caravan.
Madge has dropped in to see Helen. She explains the situation with Max and Tom exchanging house ownership. She tells Helen that Shane is very upset about it all. Helen says that maybe Shane will enjoy having some space at that caravan.
Helen and Madge talk about baby Sam and Susan. Madge says that Susan is to leave tomorrow - she's washing her hands of both Susan and Sam.
Madge tells Charlene that she wants Susan and Sam out.
CHARLENE: If they go, I go to.
MADGE: Suit yourself, you usually do.
Shane has packed to leave for the caravan. Tom tries to reason with him, but Shane says there's nothing to talk about. He kisses Madge goodbye and leaves.
Tom explains to Madge that he didn't want to go back up north - his family are in Erinsborough, that's why he exchanged houses with Max. He tells Madge not to let Charlene go or she'll end up lonely - like Tom was in Brisbane. But Madge says that she won't have Susan under her roof for another minute.
Jack Lassiter's Caravan
The motorbike rider hides something under the caravan and rides off.
Scott and Shane ride up on Shane's motorbike with Shane's stuff. Scott goes off to work at the Coffee Shop while Shane checks out his new home.
The motorbike rider is trying to get into the COffee Shop, but Paul and Scott explain that it's not open until 10am. Scott opens up.
Shane finds a pink bra and shows it to Clive who's dropped in. Clive asks if Susan and the baby could stay in the caravan, but Shane says there's no room.
Paul sits down with the biker (a blonde female) and tries to chat her up. It seems she is riding around Australia. Paul says that Scott is an adventurer too - he went to Manley once(!)
Paul offers the biker a tour of Erinsborough, but she turns him down(!)
Shane comes in and Paul starts having a go at him for being irresponsible - taking time off to "get his head together". Paul is so nasty to him that Shane snaps and says that he quits.
The vicar is giving a sermon about forgiveness.
VICAR: It is up to us to pick up our own wayward sister and give her another chance.
Madge looks thoughtful.
Clive and Charlene are still racking their brains about where Susan and Sam can stay. Clive says that Susan can stay at his place, even though there's no room.
Madge comes in from church and tells Susan she can stay until she's well enough to be on her own.
MADGE: I'm doing it for Sam's sake. I just hope I don't live to regret it.
