Madge retorts she'll throttle Max – but Helen silences the Ramsay family by telling them she has a plan to get back at Max.
Max and Des arrive back. Max starts to tell Des that he thinks he should start to think about having children – Des tells him he has something to tell about Bradley. Max promises to keep his secret safe.
Shane calls in to see Daphne and Zoe and tells hem the news about Max's fake illness and that Helen has called a meeting for them all to discuss her plan.
Scott, Paul, Madge, Nikki, Helen, Daphne, Jim, Shane, Danny and Zoe meet in the Robinson lounge where Helen announces she has a plan…
Next morning, Max is surprised when his breakfast isn't ready for him – especially when Danny comments he can't waste time on a near to death person. Max can't believe his needs are being ignored.
Danny arrives for his lift to work with Des and is met by Zoe. Des tells her she can probably have the cash card she wants. Zoe tells Danny how angry she is with Max. Danny comments about how jealous Shane was last night and all agree Max is due his comeuppance.
Max arrives to see Jim but is shocked to find Jim act coolly towards him. Max is speechless when Jim asks for his watch back.
Daphne and Clive wait in the empty shop ready for customers but Clive tells her he would never consider going back to medicine. Daphne asks him about his relationship but Clive clams up when Mike arrives with Nikki.
Nikki asks questions about Mike's parents. He tells her he loves his mother but couldn't stay in the family home due to his father's violence. Nikki tells him she just doesn't understand her mother.
Helen tells Madge that Nikki's mother Laura is coming to visit Nikki and see how she is getting on at school. Helen is keeping it quiet from Nikki because she wants it to be a surprise. Jim thinks it's a bit risky, but Helen assures Jim that Nikki will be thrilled. They talk about how well their plan against Max is working. Helen wonders whose doorstep Max will end up on next, begging for sympathy.
Max wants to thank Zoe and Daphne for last night. They ask for the money for dinner, as he can't expect them to pay for it.
ZOE: You can't take it with you Max. Where you're going everything is on a credit system. Up there what you get is judged by what you've done here. You know, a few more feathers for your wings, a bit of glitter for your hair
CLIVE: That's if that is where you're headed
MAX: You don't mean (Max points down to the ground)
DAPHNE: Afraid so. So you'd better pay up or it's...
Max pays the money to Zoe and Daphne. Clive tells Max that Helen called looking for him.
Helen is on the phone setting up an appointment for the limo business. Madge spots Max arriving and she and Helen run through into the kitchen. Max enters and creeps in, listening to Madge and Helen's conversation. Madge says she's found a rest home for Max, and talks about how far away it is and how small the rooms will be while an unhappy Max listens on. As they head to the door, Max sneaks around and pretends to enter from the back. Max wonders what Helen wanted to see him about. She says that Jim wants his lawnmower back.
Shane wants to talk to Daphne about last night. Daphne says that Shane doesn't own her, and he's going to have to trust her if this is going to work.
Danny arrives and joins Mike and Nikki. Danny invites Nikki to see a band tonight. Mike goes in to see Clive, telling him that Danny has muscled in on Nikki.
Des arrives and tells Shane not to worry about last night, he and Daphne are just good friends. Shane says it is decent of him, but he and Daphne have sorted everything out, and he wasn't worried in the least.
Number 26 Exterior
Helen and Jim head up the driveway to the house. They laugh about the trick they're playing on Max.
Madge, Danny and Shane rush to the sofa when they see Max coming in. Madge says she hasn't transferred the house over to Max, and there's no point in telling him.
DANNY: But what if he, you know, doesn't?
SHANE: Yeah, what if the doctor is wrong about his heart?
MADGE: Believe me boys. Your father won't be around much longer. If he doesn't go quietly, well, we'll just have to resort to plan B.
