George and Des catch Eileen doing aerobics with Daphne.
Helen tells Paul and Jim that Terry can deal with Max as she feels fit.
Terry asks Max to give her away at the wedding.
Jim and Scott argue about his job at the Coffee Shop.
Scott calls Danny and tells him to get down the Coffee Shop quick!
Danny tells Maria they have to head off to help Scott. He's not pleased when Maria says she can't with him because she's waiting for Richard to arrive.
Danny runs in and tells the Robinsons that Scott is in trouble. Jim and Julie head off with Danny.
Scott is overwhelmed with orders at the Coffee Shop. There are also quite a lot of rowdy boys in tonight. Jim, Julie and Danny arrive and start to help Scott prepare the meals. Jim puts on a very fetching apron(!)
Julie goes to a table to confirm an order. She hits one over the head with a tray for pinching her bum.
JULIE: Now are you going to tell me what you want for your order or not?
ROWDY BLOKE:(meekly) Anything will do.
JULIE: Right. Anything, coming up.
Scott and Danny chat about Richard.
The rowdy boys have finished their meals and have settled their order. Finally the Robinsons and Danny can sit down for a well-earned cup of tea! Julie isn't impressed with the rowdy boys, even though they did seem to fancy her!
Danny tells Scott he's off to sort out a few things with Max. Scott wishes him luck.
Just then, Simon, the boss's son comes back. Jim and Julie tell him off. They leave him to do the wasing up!
Jim, Julie, Scott and Helen are having a post mortem about their evening at the coffee shop.
HELEN: But were they good tippers?
JIM: Oh yes, I think I'll have a bit of a problem with my tax this year.
Jim says that Scott can't work at the Coffee Shop any more - it's too much for him. Scott isn't pleased, and Helen tries to calm Jim down. Julie says that Scott did very well tonight and Jim should be proud of him.
LUCY:(sleepily) What's all the noise about?
SCOTT: Just Dad playing dictator as usual.
LUCY: Can I watch?
HELEN: No, you can't. Come on, off to bed!
Jim isn't pleased at being called a dictator. Julie tells Jim to calm down - he's being worse than Max Ramsay. Jim really isn't pleased to hear this! Julie says they aren't all clones of Jim - they're individuals.
In the living room, Jim has calmed down a bit, and says Scott can do the job after all, if that's what he wants. He says it can't be at the expense of Scott's education though - that's what his whole future will be based on.
Danny has come round. It's quite late and Max is surprised to see him. He tells him what happened at the Coffee Shop. Then he suddenly blurts out that he's sorry about the other night, and that he set it all up. He says he didn't do it to hurt Max, he just wants Max and Maria to get back together again. Max says he can't - Maria has got another bloke. Even if she hadn't, he doesn't think their marriage could be saved. But even so, Max hasn't given up all hope. Max is sympathetic to Danny, but asks him to cut out such behaviour in future. Danny agrees.
DANNY: Dad? I really love you, you know.
Max looks round in surprise and looks like he might cry.
Maria comes in looking for Danny. Helen tells her that Danny has gone over to see Max. Maria hopes that Danny is patching things up with Max. Maria tells Helen that she told Richard she loves him tonight, for the first time. Helen is pleased and asks Maria what she's going to do. Maria says that she and Richard belong together, and if Danny splits them apart, she'll hate him.
MARIA: For the first time in my life, I've met a man who makes me happy. And I'm going to fight for it.
Helen hugs her.
Ramsays, the following morning
Maria is pleased that Danny and Max have been getting on well. Just then, Max comes in in a very good mood.
Max asks Maria if they can go together to the wedding, and she agrees. She says she'd love Max to take her and then kisses him on the cheek. (Mixed messages, much, Maria?)
Danny sees Jim and tells him he's patched things up with Max. He tells Jim that if the way was clear, Max would be back in a flash.
Max has picked up his messages and chats to Maria about how much he likes Terry. Maria is really pleased that they get on so well. They reminisce about their own wedding and an awful vase they were given.
MARIA: After a while, you only remember the good times.
MAX: Yeah, we had a few of those. Well...see you.
As he leaves, he turns as if to say something, but doesn't say anything and continues out the back way.
Max is waiting for Terry to turn up for work. They reminisce about Jim's wedding day. Max speaks about his own wedding and thought he was the luckiest man in the world when she walked down the aisle. He says they had a lot of good times together, as well as some bad.
Lucy is reading through the guest list - Aunty Gwen is on it. Julie says that she hasn't told Helen that Aunty Gwen is still on the list. They chat about the feud between Helen and Aunty Gwen. Julie says she's going to invite her to the wedding without telling Helen (oh dear, this could be VERY bad!)
Maria answers the door to Richard. He tells her he needs to talk to her - Danny still doesn't accept him and probably never will. Maria says he needs more time, but Richard says there isn't any more time. He's been offered a job overseas - it's a huge opportunity and he has to take it. He wants Maria to come with him.
Maria says she can't - she has too many responsibilities in Erinsborough. Richard says she can have until tomorrow to think about it.
