Daphne says Des will feel really bad about it later if he doesn't tell Eileen now. She tells Des to stop whinging. She bosses him about and makes him promise to tell Eileen about the engagement.
Helen is reading in the garden when Max comes round. He tells her he feels like a real dill - Maria has got a bloke around. He's clearly upset and jealous. Helen says they all miss Max and invite him to stay for dinner tonight, because they didn't invite him to the party last night. He agrees.
