Max insists to Jim that his marriage is over.
Scott and Wendy are out at a Coffee Shop. She puts tequila in their orange juices.
Terry tells Paul that she's over Shane. They have a pash.
Scott can't find his wallet.
The waiter isn't impressed that Scott doesn't have any money. He says he's fed up of kids not paying. Scott asks to speak to the manager.
It turns out that the waiter himself is the manager. He says that Scott had better pay his bill or he'll call the cops.
Helen is looking at some pictures before sitting down to play Scrabble with Jim.
Scott promises to bring the money tomorrow, but the manager isn't having any of it. The manager sees the tequila in Wendy's bag and tells her off. Scott insists that he'll bring the money in tomorrow - he'll give the manager his address. The manager asks for his phone number so he can give his parents a ring.
Jim is worried about Scott - he hopes Wendy isn't another Kim. Helen tells Jim about Wendy being boy-mad. Jim is not impressed. He's confused too - he thought Wendy was Danny's girlfriend. He resolves to have a word with Scott.
Just then, the phone rings. It's the manager of the restaurant. He puts Scott on the phone and he tells Jim he'll be home a bit late, but doesn't tell him about the missing money.
The manager is still suspicious of Scott, but finally agrees that he won't call the cops. He tells Scott that he can work off the meal - he can come in after school for a week and work in the cafe. Scott reluctantly agrees, though he thinks a week is a lot for two meals(!)
Robinsons, the following morning
Lucy asks over breakfast why Julie is acting funny - she doesn't want to do anything. Jim and Helen try to distract her, saying that Julie is just tired. Jim admonishes Scott for getting in late last night. He wants to know who the bloke on the phone was, so Scott explains about the lost wallet. Jim says he would have brought Scott some money, but Scott says he wanted to sort out the problem on his own. Jim is surprised and quite proud(!) He says Scott had better sort out whether Wendy is Danny's girl or his though.
Wendy tells Danny that she had a nice time with Scott and they drank tequila. Danny isn't very impressed. She says she had a good time, but Scott is not very wild(!) Wendy tells Danny that she thinks Danny is nicer than Scott. They arrange to meet at 7pm for their date tonight. But Maria comes in and says that Danny can't go - his homework is too far behind.
Julie is heading off to work and Lucy asks her outright if she's in love - because people in love act funny(!) Helen offers Julie some breakfast and she agrees to a coffee.
Lucy shows Julie her project books, but there's a magazine of naked(ish) man inside the book! Helen isn't perturbed and says that Wendy gave it to Lucy.
Helen tells Julie off - saying that there's nothing unhealthy about a naked body. Helen says she's painted nudes all her life and it's never corrupted her. She thinks Julie should admit that she's upset over Phil.
Julie is at work and thanks Des for his help yesterday. He tells Julie off for being sullen and bitchy. Phil comes out and sees that Julie is in a mood. He invites her into his office.
Phil tells Julie off for being rude to Des - he's the Assistant Manager. Phil tells Julie that they have to discuss the situation between them, but unfortunately a client arrives and prevents them from talking.
Before the client comes in, Julie tells Phil that he lied to her and that's the end of it. Phil insists that his wife has gone back home. He asks her to meet him to talk after work. She agrees.
Lucy comes in and finds Danny hard at work on his homework. She asks Danny if he's in love, much to his surprise! Lucy tells Danny that Julie is in love with someone at the bank and rambles on about Max. Danny tells Lucy to be quiet - he's trying to finish his homework so he can go out tonight.
Danny thinks for a minute then asks Lucy if Scott was late home last night. She says she was - he had a romantic evening! Danny isn't impressed.
Julie and Phil are talking about their situation. Phil says that Loretta did stay over, but he went to a motel. Julie doesn't believe him - he lied about Loretta being an alcoholic. Phil insists that Loretta has two sides - she got drunk at his flat and came at him with a carving knife. He shows Julie a cut on his arm. Julie is shocked.
Phil explains that Loretta came to the city to see a psychiatrist about her drinking problem. But she missed her appointment, refusing to believe that she had a problem at all. Julie is sympathetic to Phil's plight. Phil explains that Loretta has gone home. He doesn't think there's a lot he can do - but he doesn't think she'd hurt the kids. Phil apologises that Julie got stuck in the middle. Julie apologises for accusing Phil of lying. She hugs him and tells him she loves him. Then they have a pash.
Lucy is still rambling on, but Danny has finished his homework now. Maria is just going out, all dressed up.
Phil sees a photo of Julie in her bag and asks if he can have it. He says it shows the real her - relaxed and natural. They are getting on very well.
Lucy asks Danny if he thinks Maria has a boyfriend. Danny thinks Lucy should go home, but she says she's waiting for Wendy.
There's a knock at the door and Maria rushes to answer it. It's a man who's come to pick Maria up. Danny looks shocked.
