- Paul and Scott help Kim.
Ramsays
Maria tells Danni that he can have a party for his birthday. She's worked it all out, but Danny says he wants something a bit more modern. Maria looks a bit downcast, so Danny apologises and says he'll work it out himself. He suggests having a barbie or a dinner or something. Just them and Scott and maybe Max as well.
Danny says that Scott has been acting weirdly lately.
Counsellor's Place
Kim is waiting with Scott. They've apparently arranged a story between themselves.
When they are shown into the counsellor's office, the counsellor says it's good that Scott has come along as the baby's father. Kim is eight weeks pregnant. She says she can't have the baby. She says she doesn't have any parents - they're dead. They discuss a termination but Kim isn't sure. The counsellor advises her not to take the decision lightly. Kim says tearfully that she's not sure of anything.
Kim admits that her parents aren't really dead. But she says her mother hates her and she doesn't know where to turn.
A road
Pete draws up on his bike and shows it to Danny. He offers Danny a ride. He tells Pete that he's got a place of his own now. He tells Danny that he should have a party somewhere away from the olds. Danny isn't sure. Pete says he'll arrange a rage. Danny puts a helmet on and gets on the back of Pete's bike. They drive off.
Ramsays
Max has got a new assistant but he isn't impressed with him(!) Maria says that Shane came home briefly. She tells Max off for not telling Shane about his other woman. Max says he didn't want Shane to think badly of him. Max apologises and picks up his messages. Max yells at his assistant for putting his feet on the table.
Max is pleased by one of the messages - it's a big job, doing building work. Max is very pleased, but his assistant says he can't work on Friday night - he's going to a gig. Max yells at him that he's not blowing the job for some disco! His assistant goes off because Max said he could borrow the van.
When he's gone, Maria reminds Max about Danny's birthday. Max says he'll give Danny some money, but Maria says that Max is to come along and be at the family do and be nice to everyone. Max starts to protest but Maria puts her foot down.
MARIA: Max, I want you here!
MAX:(begrudgingly) Alright.
Kim's flat
Scott is making Kim a cup of tea. She is still upset. Scott says that she'll have to decide soon, but Kim says she needs more time to think. Scott says he can't get any more money for her to stay in the flat. Scott is nearly at the end of his tether - he can't go on looking after her. But when Kim cries, he promises not to let her down.
Ramsays
Max's assistant has come back very late. Max yells at him for being slack. His assistant decides to quit. Max says he can't - he's firing him.
When his assistant has gone, Maria rolls her eyes. She says he needs a helper to drive his van.
MARIA: You're going to have to do some fast thinking, darling.
A road
Danny asks Scott where he's been all day - he told the teacher he had food poisoning. He tells Danny about Kim. Danny thinks Kim is bad news.
Just then, Pete comes up on his motorbike. Scott thinks Pete is a prat. Pete tells Danny that he's got the hall for his birthday party on Friday night. It'll cost $25. Danny tells Scott that it'll be OK - Maria is going to a course on Friday. Scott says Maria won't let him have an unsupervised party, but Danny says he's sorted it. He tells Scott to keep his mouth shut.
Des's
Squawker is squawking when Daphne comes in. She kicks off her shoes and dejectedly throws her bag on the settee. Then she sits down on the settee. Des comes out of his bedroom and picks up her shoes. He's home early because the auditors are in at the bank. Daphne lies that she's had a couple of interviews for jobs and she's in with a good choice. Daphne says there was more money in stripping. If she doesn't get a job soon... Des rubs her feet, telling her she'll be OK.
Ramsays
Maria has arranged a family gathering for Friday night. But Danny tells her about the hall. Danny pretends not to remember that Maria was going on a course at the Community Justice Centre. He suggests having two parties - one on Friday with the guys and one on Saturday with the family. Maria agrees. She says they still have to organise an adult for the Friday party though.
Robinsons
Helen is making the dinner. Apparently Lucy won't be home until six. Scott comes in late and Jim asks where he's been. Jim twigs that Scott has sold his watch. He gets angry and wants Scott to tell him what's going on. Scott says he's quitting school and getting a job.
Scott's room
Jim wants Scott to tell him what's going on - he wants to help him. Finally Scott tells Jim about Kim being pregnant. He insists that he's not the father, but he's been helping her with a room. Jim hugs Scott and says he should have told him. He says they'll figure something out.
Robinsons' kitchen
Jim says it's really sad that the only person Kim could turn to was Scott. Helen says that they'll have to tell Kim's parents - they are legally responsible for her. But they don't have Kim's parents new address. Jim says he'll ask a mate of his. Helen goes to have a chat to Scott.
Scott's room
Helen tells Scott that she's never been more proud of him - he stood by his friend and it's nothing to be ashamed of. She says that they'll have to tell Kim's parents. Scott is worried that Kim will think he sold her out. But Helen thinks Kim will be grateful in the long run.
Robinsons' living room
Jim has got the number for Kim's parents. Helen says she'll have the conversation - it needs a woman's touch.
Helen calls Kim's mother. She tells her that she has some news about Kim. Her mother says there's nothing Helen can tell her about Kim - she doesn't want to know where she is.
MRS TAYLOR: As far as I'm concerned, Kim is dead. I have no daughter.
