Krista and Leo's conversation continues; Krista says the two pregnancy tests she's done 'can't both be wrong'.
LEO: Yeah. Well... we should probably see a doctor, just to be sure.
KRISTA (emotional): Yeah, we should.
LEO: I love you. Everything's gonna be okay.
Krista nods through her tears.

Karl reminds Susan that it's hard rubbish day tomorrow; they should get rid of as much as they can.
KARL: It'll make it easier at the end of the day.
SUSAN: You make it sound like 'the end of the day' is upon us!
Paul barges in.
SUSAN: Oh, Paul, if you're here about Robinson Towers...
PAUL: No, actually, I'm here about Terese. And your attendance is required.

Back at home, Paul tells Terese that he's planning a 'casual, neighbourly' barbecue for this afternoon. He asks if she'll be back at two, and she confirms she will, before heading off to work. The moment she's gone, Paul rushes into the kitchen where he rallies the troops - namely, Jimmy, Elle, Zac and Colton.
ELLE: I still think you're taking a big risk.
ZAC: Auntie T can be a little controlling.
COLTON: A little?
JIMMY: (grins)
COLTON: Sorry - I mean that with love.
PAUL: Yeah, just - I want you to make sure the back yard is ready.
JIMMY: We understand the assignment, G- Dad.
PAUL: Good, good. Because I want this to be a magical day for her. Then we can go back to figuring out all about our future, okay?
Paul leaves them to it. Colton asks if Zac has spoken to Terese about Robinson Towers.
ZAC: You mean, use my powers of persuasion to further my own interests?
COLTON: That.
ZAC: Not yet. But I really want to be a part of it.
Elle ushers them into the garden to get to work.
Harold's Café
Nicolette is working, as Clint tells Jane about how relieved Addison was to hear JJ was okay. Jane thinks it's really nice that JJ and Addison are friends. Jane and Clint stare at one another for a while, before Clint awkwardly gets up to leave. Jane looks troubled as he leaves.
Nicolette emerges from the kitchen and gives Jane a look.
JANE: What?
NICOLETTE: Why don't you make him your plus- one for today? Mum, what are you waiting for?! A sign in the sky to tell you to go for it?
JANE: Maybe.
NICOLETTE: These occasions have a way of bringing Feelings™ to a head. Just saying.
Jane gets up to leave, just as Krista and Leo come in through the back door. They've made an appointment to see Dr Stevie tomorrow. Leo asks Krista if she'll be okay to go to Paul and Terese's this afternoon.
KRISTA: Of course we have to be there.
Nicolette approaches and asks Krista if they're still going to visit Holly. Krista says they are. Leo whispers to her, asking if she's sure that's a good idea. Krista insists she'll be fine.
Ramsay Street
Shane and Paul are staring wistfully at No 24, which was once Shane's home.
PAUL: Remember when we used to jump the fence?
SHANE: All hours of the day and night.
PAUL (laughs): Yeah, we used to get on our BMXs - race off to somewhere to create all sorts of mischief.
SHANE: Yeah. My old man used to blame your old man. 'Look here, Jim Robinson - your boy's leading my boy astray!'
PAUL: Yeah. 'No, you look here, Max Ramsay!'
They both chuckle fondly.
SHANE: It's sad.
PAUL: Yeah.
SHANE: And it feels like it's happening for a reason.
Karl appears on the other side of the street, putting out boxes of hard rubbish on the nature strip.
PAUL: You know most of the neighbours prefer my vision for the future?
SHANE: Robinson Towers?
PAUL: Yeah.
SHANE: Have you even explained it to 'em?
PAUL: Hey, word's spreading. More appealing than Ramsay Hills.
SHANE: Here's the founding member of Kennedy Street now!
PAUL: Kennedy Street?
Paul scoffs at Shane's hard- sell tactics. Shane smiles. Karl walks over to them.
KARL: It's a nice gesture, Shane, but, uh... Susan isn't on board.
PAUL: No, of course she's not. That's because she's more suited to city living.
KARL (scoffs): I hope neither of you are gonna push your agendas this afternoon?
SHANE: What's this afternoon?
Paul looks at Shane and smiles...

Nicolette and Krista are visiting Holly, who thanks Krista for being with her at the hospital.
KRISTA: I know we haven't spent a lot of time together lately, but you know I'm always here for you.
HOLLY: It's so strange, going from being public enemy number one to everyone fussing over me.
NICOLETTE: You had something really crappy happen to you. Makes everyone reassess.
HOLLY: Looking back, there was so much going on - I didn't have time to be scared. But... I was.
NICOLETTE: Everyone feels that way. It doesn't mean that you wouldn't have been a great mum. Or that you won't be some day, if that's what you want.
Nicolette eyes the rocking horse in the corner, and asks Holly what she'll do with it. Holly says she and Max are going to find it a loving home. Krista suddenly looks upset.
HOLLY (to Nicolette): Maybe yours. You'll be the next one to be pregnant - fingers crossed.
KRISTA: Sorry, I have to go.
Krista rushes out. Holly and Nicolette look worried.
Eirini Rising
In the office, Susan and Terese are talking about Robinson Towers. Terese says it's a great project; she just doesn't want to trade Ramsay Street for it.
SUSAN: I feel exactly the same.
TERESE: But you've been to Ramsay Hills, though?
SUSAN: Yeah. It's a beautiful parcel of land. And I can tell that Karl's tempted.
Terese suggests they head out there for a drive now, saying she's curious and asking if Susan remembers the way. Aware of what Paul's planning for Terese this afternoon, Susan pretends not to remember the way there. Terese is about to look it up, but...
SUSAN: No, you can't! Paul will kill you. You can't be late for the barbecue!
TERESE: Paul doesn't need to know. And besides, I'm just wanting a little stickybeak.
SUSAN: No, we can't!
TERESE: Susan... what's going on?
SUSAN (groans): Oh, it's meant to be a surprise.
TERESE: What is?
SUSAN: Paul has organised for a commitment ceremony, for the two of you, in the back yard.
TERESE: ... Today?
SUSAN: Today!
Terese pulls a face.
Harold's Café
Jane and Clint encounter one another. She asks if he's busy today.
CLINT: I was gonna curl up with some mid- 19th- century fiction... Why's that?
JANE: Umm... would you... would you like to be my date today, at a wedding? Well, it's not really a wedding, although, basically it is...
Meanwhile, Leo joins Krista at a table. She admits it was hard for her to go and see Holly.
LEO: Look... whatever you want, whatever you decide, I support you, okay?
KRISTA: You know I love you for putting my feelings first. But I really want to know how *you're* feeling. Like, it's okay if you're happy.
LEO: Yeah but, I can't be happy unless *you're* happy.
At this point, Nicolette comes in. Krista whispers to Leo that she owes Nic an explanation for rushing out of Holly's place. When Nic comes over to them, Krista apologises, and tells Nic that she's pregnant. Nic looks disconcerted...

Susan and Terese are chatting to Holly, who 'knew' Susan would 'blab' to Terese about the commitment ceremony. Terese says she's glad Susan did.
TERESE: Look, I know what Paul's trying to do, and it's so sweet. And this is the gesture that I wanted in the first place, not a car. So I can hardly be a no- show if half the street are attending. But honestly - he organises a ceremony and expects me to turn up in this outfit?
SUSAN: Oh, well, I'm one step ahead of you there.
Susan goes to open the front door, to reveal a surprise visitor!
TERESE: Oh my goodness! Nell?!
Nell gives her a hug.
NELL: Paul demanded I get on a train, and I wasn't gonna miss this.
SUSAN: I messaged Nell and told her to raid your wardrobe.
NELL: I snuck away without him knowing.
TERESE: Oh, sweetheart!
HOLLY: I hate to say this, but it's almost time.
TERESE: Ah, we can be late!

In the back yard, Paul surveys the buffet and bar he's arranged, as numerous guests gather including Nicolette, Colton, Zac, Jimmy, Elle, Felix, Shane and Karl. Paul tells Karl and Shane he's declaring this a 'Robinson Towers- free zone' today, and asks Shane to do the same. Shane smirks and promises he won't discuss Robinson Towers either! Karl laughs, and Shane offers Paul his hand to shake, saying he's happy to put all 'future talk' on hold.
Meanwhile, Elle tells Felix how dapper he's looking in his suit, and reminds him that this is their first official outing as a couple. Felix says it's the first of many. Elle asks where Andrew is; Felix explains he's spending time with Cara, Remi and JJ.
FELIX: Probably distracting himself while it all sinks in.
Jane and Clint arrive.
NICOLETTE: You invited him! Sorry, I... yeah, said that out loud.
Clint goes to grab them some champagne.
JANE: Yes, I invited him. Don't make a big deal out of it.
NICOLETTE: Whoops.
Krista and Leo arrive next, and join Paul, Shane, Karl, Elle and Felix at a table. Elle is concerned that Terese might be upset that they're all 'dolled up' while she's wearing her Eirini badge. But at this moment Terese emerges with Nell, hand in hand.
KRISTA: I think the surprise might be on us.
Sure enough, Terese has changed into a flowery dress and says she hopes it's appropriate.
PAUL: You look absolutely beautiful, darling.
TERESE: Well, if we're gonna do this, I want to do it properly.
They kiss. Soon afterwards, the commitment ceremony has commenced. Susan, Isla and Abigail have joined the party.
PAUL: If there's one thing that can be said about Ramsay Street, it's the fact that everyone knows everyone else's business. So, it will come as no secret that Terese and I have exchanged vows before.
NICOLETTE: Oh, multiple times! What? It's true!
PAUL: Yeah, thanks, Nicolette (!) Anyway, the matter came up again recently, and we found ourselves talking about fairy tales, and how they didn't apply to us.
Krista is looking sombre.
PAUL: And then I thought, you know what? Who really wants a traditional fairy tale? Nobody seems to come out well in those. And as I look around here today, I see people who know about ups and downs - who know about mistakes, and redemption - about forgiveness, and coming together when it really matters. And I reckon *that* is the test of a true marriage. Don't you think?
TERESE: Mm.
PAUL: Yeah - so, in front of all of the people here today that we care about... I want to tell you how much I love you, Terese. And you know what? You will always be my wife, whether we have a piece of paper to show for it or not.
TERESE (chuckles): Can I talk now?
Everyone laughs.
TERESE (to Paul): You're right. I did have to be reminded of what matters. I think I was looking for something - something to tell me that everything's alright. Because we don't always get that. We just have to trust each other. I love you, Paul Robinson.
PAUL: I love you too, Terese.
They kiss, and at this point, Abigail and Isla rush up to present them with plastic toy rings in cases.
ISLA (to Terese): No, that one goes on *your* finger!
Karl and Susan smile at one another as Isla runs back to Nicolette and into her arms.
SUSAN (raising a glass): May I present the happy couple!
Everyone toasts to that.
PAUL: And you know, it's not where you are in life - it's who you're with that really matters, isn't it? I think we're our own fairy tale.
TERESE: Yeah.
PAUL: Yeah. You know what? You will always be the queen of my tower, Terese.
Shane tuts and sighs at this gratuitous reference to Robinson Towers! But Terese looks pretty happy.
Later, back indoors, the champagne is open and Paul and Terese are cuddling on the sofa. Max has joined the assembled residents and is chatting to Shane. In the kitchen...
COLTON (to Zac): Do you want to get married one day?
ZAC (laughs): Are you proposing?
FELIX (to Elle): What about you, Red?
ELLE: Oh, I'm not really big on marriage... but, you never know your luck in a big city.
Felix smiles at her. Nearby...
SHANE: You know, the city isn't everything.
MAX: He's not wrong.
Shane starts waxing lyrical to the young lovebirds about Ramsay Hills. Meanwhile, Leo checks with Krista that she's definitely okay to be here. She insists she is. Close by...
KARL (sighs): What would Ramsay Street be without a wedding?
SUSAN: Mm. Oh, it can't be the last one. It just can't.
Jane and Clint are walking through.
JANE: Well, that was a lovely ceremony.
CLINT: Yeah. Who needs a ring, hey?
JANE: Yeah, well - love is all you need.
CLINT: ... Jane, what am I to you right now?
JANE: Well, you're... you're my plus- one!
Nicolette is watching them intently.
CLINT: Earlier you called this a date - now you're talking about love. I just...
But Jane looks uncomfortable, and doesn't say anything.
CLINT: Thank you for inviting me, but... I think I'd better go.
Jane looks disappointed, but can't seem to summon the words to object. As Clint leaves, Nic approaches, and tells Jane to go after him. Jane, who's looking a little tipsy, just smiles incredulously - but Nic grabs her champagne glass and pushes her towards the door! Nic follows...
Ramsay Street
Jane has wandered down the driveway of No 22, followed by Nicolette.
NICOLETTE: I did say these occasions have a tendency to bring Feelings™ to a head. Mum! What are you doing?
Jane is making a beeline for the pile of hard rubbish that is piled on the nature strip outside the Kennedys' house. She's spotted something in one of the boxes - a vase with flowers in it.
NICOLETTE: did that used to be ours?
JANE: Yes! I'm sure that I threw this out with the rubbish.
Karl appears, looking sheepish. He has a load of food swiped from Paul and Terese's buffet wrapped in a napkin.
NICOLETTE: Someone's hungry!
KARL (guiltily): Oh, I thought Holly might like some.
Looking at the vase, he murmurs...
KARL: Yeah, I found that a while back. I thought Susan might like it, but she didn't.
Embarrassed to have been caught appropriating Jane's cast- offs, Karl scurries off inside with his parcel of food. Jane laughs to herself... but as she pulls the flowers out of the vase, she gasps. The engagement ring that Mike gave her, that had been lost for months, is hanging from one of the stalks!
JANE: Oh, my...!
NICOLETTE: Is that what I think it is?
JANE: Oh! Oh, my!
Poignant music swells on the underscore.
JANE: It must've fallen in there when I was putting out the hard rubbish!
NICOLETTE: Well, it's not a sign in the sky, but... it could be a sign from the universe.
JANE (recalling Clint's words): 'Who needs a ring?' (laughing) I mean... can you... ?
At this point, Clint himself approaches, having returned.
CLINT: Jane? Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken off. I was just... just having a moment. The thing is, I really like you, and I just -
But before he can finish his sentence, Jane leaps on him and pashes him! Nicolette smiles to herself, holding the vase awkwardly.
NICOLETTE: I guess Mum's having a moment, too!

Clint and Jane are still pashing some time later, back in the garden, as night has fallen and the party goes on.
JANE: Yes, we're back together!
PAUL: Ah, romance is catching, eh?
TERESE: Oh, we're so happy for you guys. (To Nell) And I'm so happy to have you back.
Terese gives Nell a big hug. A few metres away, Leo tells Nicolette it's good to see Jane smiling again. She agrees. Krista, who is with them, goes to get some food, and Leo concedes to Nic that he can't tell whether Krista is okay.
NICOLETTE: Signs from the universe. Hey, uh, crazy idea... but give me 20 minutes, and then bring her next door.
Nicolette hurries off. Meanwhile, Shane is chatting to Zac about the possibility of luring Zac's cousin Roxy back to Melbourne - apparently she's up for a move home, and her husband Kyle is thinking about it too. Paul watches from a distance, wondering what Shane is up to!
Meanwhile, Clint gets a text, and tells Jane that it's from Addison...

Leo has brought Krista here as per Nicolette's instruction, but tells her he has no idea what it's about. Nic welcomes them in; she's hiding several pieces of card behind her back, and soon treats Krista to a pep talk delivered via cue cards, in the style of the one Jane and Isla used a few weeks ago to convince Nicolette to stick with her plans to have another baby. Nicolette's own pep talk is considerably less polished!
NICOLETTE: I know our situations are not the same, and I'm not pretending they are. But Mum had this idea - actually, it was inspired by Clint - and it helped me, when I was having a freak- out.
KRISTA: What freak- out?
NICOLETTE: Uh, well, just for a nanosecond, I doubted my ability to be a single mum (...) but doubts are doubts, right?
KRISTA: Right...
Nicolette holds up the first cue card...
NICOLETTE (reading): 'You've already overcome so many obstacles in your life...'
And the second...
NICOLETTE (reading): 'You are stronger now than you have ever been...'
Krista smiles as Nic unveils the third card...
NICOLETTE (reading): 'You have a loving and supportive partner...'
Krista smiles at Leo as Nic unveils the fourth card...
NICOLETTE: 'And you don't believe Nanna...' No, no, no, that was mine!
We see that she's recycled Jane and Isla's cue cards for her own pep talk by writing on the back, and she's now got in a muddle. (The correct message, on the other side, was 'Abigail will be a great big sister'.) Nic starts dropping the cue cards all over the floor, to Krista and Leo's amusement!
NICOLETTE: No! You were meant to get the full effect.
They all laugh. Leo retrieves one of Nicolette's dropped cards.
LEO (reading): 'Don't forget, we'll be there every step of the way. And Auntie Nic will hopefully be having a baby at the same time as you.'
But as he reads these words, Holly walks through the door. She looks quietly sad, evidently reminded of her miscarriage.
HOLLY: Hey. I saw the light on. Are you pregnant?
KRISTA: ... Yeah, I am. I just found out.
HOLLY (smiling): Wow! Well, uh, I came over to ask Nicolette how you're doing...
KRISTA (smiling): You know what? I'm... I'm okay. Yeah, I'm gonna... I'm gonna be okay. Thanks to all of you.
Harold's Café
Clint and Jane arrive to meet Addison, and ask her if everything's okay. Addison reports that her mum Shannon is doing well - she has a friend staying at the moment who is acting as her 'sober companion'.
ADDISON: It's really, really good... it's just a little bit, umm, crowded at home. And I really miss spending time with you. I was just wondering if maybe I could have... if I could have a bedroom at yours, too?
Jane smiles, but Clint is lost for words.
ADDISON (nervous): I don't know what you're thinking right now.
CLINT (shakily): Thinking that... this is one of the greatest days of my life.
Addison looks thrilled, as does Jane.

Terese is getting a foot massage from Paul on the sofa.
TERESE: Mrs Robinson?!
PAUL: Mm.
TERESE: Oh, wow! You really have set your sights sky high, haven't you?
PAUL: Well, I know you've never wanted to change your name. But now that the kids are all grown up, what do you think?
TERESE: A little harder. Ow, ow - not that hard! You know, what you said is true - it's not where you are, it's who you're with that matters. And... I dunno, I just don't want to see the end of the street. But maybe we don't have a choice.
PAUL: And?
TERESE (sighs): And... if I'm gonna be the queen of the tower, you're my jester.
PAUL: Oh, thanks very mu... hang on, are you saying what I *think* you're saying?
TERESE (nods): It's a yes to Robinson Towers. And a maybe to Mrs Robinson.
Paul is thrilled and holds her hands.
PAUL: Terese! Oh, we are not gonna regret this, I promise.
TERESE: Yeah, but listen. Susan isn't on board, and I have to find a way to break it to her.
PAUL: That's alright. And we have to convince them to buy in as well.
TERESE (laughs): Good luck. I mean, Karl's already Team Ramsay Hills.
PAUL: Yeah, so Shane got a bit of a head start. We can turn that around.
They simultaneously get messages on their phones - from Shane.
PAUL (reading): 'You're invited to an all- exclusive information day at the Waterhole, followed by a tour of Ramsay Hills.'
TERESE: Yeah, and it's not just current residents. Look at all the old faces he's got coming, a week from now. You know, he hasn't just got a head start, Paul. He is well ahead of the game.
PAUL: In that case, I say, 'game on'.
