Power Road
Suffering from intense pain, Holly groans and collapses to the floor, clutching her stomach. She calls for help. Wendy is nearby and hearing this, finishes up her phone call and rushes to Holly's aid. Wendy holds Holly's hand as she calls for an ambulance...
The Waterhole
Paul, Terese, Karl and Susan are talking about JJ's rescue from the Linwells, and how Holly is to thank for it. Karl's surprised he hasn't heard from Holly. Krista and Leo comes in; Krista has been fending off queries from guests curious to know what's been going on (presumably about the JJ incident).
PAUL: Yeah, it's not the first disaster to befall the hotel, though, is it?
TERESE: Oh, Paul...
PAUL: See, Lassiter's will not be your problem if you join me at Robinson Towers.
TERESE: Darling, now is not the time.
PAUL: No, I just want everyone to have an open mind - particularly with Shane peddling his Ramsay Flats.
KARL: It's 'Hills'.
PAUL: Oh, yeah, whatever. Oh, by the way - he lied to you about it being 21 minutes to the Central Business District. I timed it last night - 25.
LEO: How can you time a freeway that hasn't been built yet?
PAUL: All I'm saying is that at Robinson Towers, you simply walk out the front door and you've got the city already under your feet.
Karl goes off to take a phone call, and Susan asks Terese if Jane has passed the history book to her; she's encouraging everyone to make fresh entries. Terese says she has it, and promises to update it and drop it back. Karl finishes up his call, and tells Susan it was Wendy - Holly has been taken to hospital. The Kennedys rush off, while the others all look alarmed.
Erinsborough Hospital
Wendy is still holding Holly's hand as she sits in a hospital bed, and asks how she's feeling.
HOLLY: I feel better. Thank god you found me.
WENDY: Well, you're here, and that's the main thing.
Dr Stevie comes in. She's noncommittal at the moment about what's wrong, but wants to do some blood tests and an ultrasound to learn more.
HOLLY: I was running. Maybe I pushed myself too hard?
STEVIE: There's a variety of explanations for cramping. Let's not jump to conclusions.
Karl and Susan come in and start fussing over Holly. Stevie says she'll send someone to do the blood tests shortly and that Holly may need to stay overnight. Susan volunteers to go home to pack an overnight bag. Karl is surprised to learn that it was Wendy who brought Holly in. Wendy says she's left messages with Andrew but can't get through to him; she'll keep trying.
HOLLY: What if I did this? What if I did something to hurt the baby?
Karl comforts her, urging her not to think that way.
The Waterhole
A sombre mood has descended as Terese, Paul, Krista and Leo discuss Holly's situation - clearly it's bringing back memories for Krista of losing baby Hope.
KRISTA: It's the worst feeling in the world.
PAUL: Yeah. And she was trying to help JJ.
LEO: Guess all we can do is wait for the news, hey?
Erinsborough Hospital
Wendy and Karl stand by as Stevie performs an ultrasound on Holly; from the look on Karl's face, he's already discerned the result. Suddenly feeling uncomfortable at being there, Wendy goes to call Felix, to see if he can shed any light on where Andrew is - but lingers by the door as Holly asks...
HOLLY: Is the baby okay?
STEVIE: ...
HOLLY: Just say it.
STEVIE: I'm sorry. There's no heartbeat. I'm afraid you've miscarried. We'll know more once we study your results, but indications suggest chromosomal abnormalities. The important thing to know, though - it's not your fault. It's not about anything you did or didn't do. It's hard to detect these abnormalities on the scans, and... hence we didn't pick it up sooner.
Holly sobs as Karl holds her hand. At the door, Wendy is crying too.

Taye and Sadie are talking about Remi's memory having come back when Wendy comes in.
WENDY: Holly's miscarried.
SADIE: Oh my god... Have you been with her the whole time?
WENDY: Yeah.
TAYE: That must've been really difficult.
WENDY: Oh, I just did what anyone would do.
SADIE: Holly's not just anyone.
WENDY: She was just so scared. She... well, I had to keep holding her hand to stop it from shaking. She wouldn't let it go.
SADIE: You're amazing.
Sadie gives Wendy a hug.

While gazing at the concept art for Robinson Towers, Paul is on the phone to Jimmy who we learn is in the city with Elle and Zac, seemingly checking out Paul's planned site for the development. Once he's finished on the phone, he asks Terese if she'd come and look at the site with him. Terese rebuffs him, saying she needs to update the Ramsay Street History Book that Jane dropped off.
As Terese heads outside with the history book, she tells Paul that Jimmy's room is ready, and that it will be nice to have him here. They smile at one another.
Erinsborough Hospital
Holly is being wheeled down the corridor in her bed, Karl at her side. At this point Andrew rushes in, having heard the news.
ANDREW: I should've been here earlier.
HOLLY: It's okay, you're here now. I have to have a procedure to remove the...
ANDREW: Yeah. I'll be here after, okay?
At this point Krista and Leo rush in. Without a word, Krista takes Holly by the hand and walks with her as she's wheeled away for her procedure. Leo puts a comforting hand on Andrew's shoulder as he takes a seat in the waiting room, next to Karl.
Some time later, Leo has gone, leaving Andrew and Karl who are, respectively, sitting and standing in silence. Eventually...
KARL: I imagine this is very difficult for you.
ANDREW: Yeah... When I found out that Holly was pregnant... I was terrified. I really didn't want the baby to be mine. I tried to convince myself that it wasn't.
KARL: Well, that's understandable, under the circumstances.
Karl puts a hand on his shoulder, then comes to sit next to him.
ANDREW (tearful): But then... it changed. Maybe it was looking at the ultrasound photo. I realised what a gift this was. I was gonna be a dad again - the how or why really didn't matter anymore.
Karl nods, struggling to hold back tears himself. Clearly this is stirring memories in him too.
Krista and Leo return; Leo has brought coffees for everyone, and they sit in a row looking sombre.
Later that night, Holly awakens to the smell of muffins; Andrew has brought her some, and is sitting by her bedside. He smiles at her.
HOLLY: Krista said something, before I went into surgery... She said that we should name him. Our son.
ANDREW: Really?
HOLLY: I really wanted to meet him.
ANDREW: ... Me too.
HOLLY: You would've been a great dad to him.
ANDREW (emotional): You would've been a great mum.
HOLLY: I don't know.
ANDREW: I do.

As we wrap up the montage, Terese is looking out of the window onto Ramsay Street, while a wistful Paul flicks through the history book with a whisky.
PAUL: You haven't put in your update yet.
TERESE: Well, it's a bit hard with everything that's happening at the hospital. And everything that's happening to the street.
PAUL: Darling, I know you're not on board with Robinson Towers...
TERESE: No, but it's good that you're excited about it.
PAUL: Just trying to make the best of a bad situation. But I will not move forward until I have your blessing.
TERESE: You can build your towers, but I'm just not gonna live there. Sorry.
PAUL: ... Are we okay?
TERESE: ... Yeah. Yeah, we are. I just can't seem to get it back. That feeling I had a couple of weeks ago. Thinking that proposing was a good idea - wanting to celebrate us. I can't... I can't find peace with any of it.
PAUL: You know, I truly believe that the future could be our best chapter yet.
TERESE: Yeah, I know. The problem is, I'm... I'm still stuck in this one.
She runs off upstairs. Paul closes the history book.
Ramsay Street
The following day, 'Fight the Freeway' signs still adorn the nature strip and, at No 24, Mark Brennan's famous fence.

In the living room, Karl is looking after Holly who is now back home. She can't help but notice that he's moved the rocking horse out of sight, but she doesn't say anything about it. She asks Karl if he'll go and get her phone, which she's left in the car. He's reluctant to leave her side.
HOLLY: I'm alright (...) I'm not saying that I'm good, but... I'm okay.
KARL: Yeah. You're gonna be feeling this in waves.
HOLLY: I know. But for now, I'm alright.
There's a knock at the door. It's Wendy and Sadie.
WENDY: We were just wondering how Holly was, and whether she'd be up for a visit?
KARL: Umm...
SADIE: Only if she's okay with it.
HOLLY: Come in.
They file in, and Holly smiles.
Ramsay Street
Paul is standing in the middle of the street, looking over at No 26, his childhood home. Karl spots him on the way to retrieve Holly's phone, and comes over for a chat.
KARL: A lot of memories wrapped up in that house.
PAUL: Not just the house. The whole street. Not many people can say they've lived in the same place for as long as we have, hey?
KARL: No. It's no ordinary place.
PAUL: So, what do you think? You know, Robinson Towers versus Ramsay Hills?
KARL: Oh, I don't know. Susan won't contemplate either option.
PAUL: Yeah, Terese is the same... Mind you, it hasn't helped that I've made things so tense between us.
KARL: Things aren't improving?
PAUL: Oh, we're committed to each other, there's no doubt about that. It's just, you know, with all this uncertainty hanging over us, it's... We're just not in the best spot.
KARL: Yeah... It's funny, isn't it. When I think of everything that's happened on this street - the ups and downs, and tragedies - the one thing I think of the most is love.
PAUL: Didn't Susan write something like that in the history book?
KARL: Yeah. Maybe if you can remind Terese of that, you can get back on track.
Karl puts a hand on Paul's back, then walks away.

Holly, Sadie and Wendy are talking on the sofas.
SADIE: I still can't imagine what you're going through.
HOLLY: It's gonna take a while to process it.
SADIE: I was gonna have a brother. I mean, I was still wrapping my head around it...
WENDY: Yeah, I never lost a baby. But I understand the heartache. Andrew and I were trying to have a baby, a long time after Sadie.
HOLLY: ... You were so good to me at the hospital. Despite everything. It's... more than I deserved from you. And it's okay; you can be mad at me, and feel sorry for me at the same time.
SADIE (laughs): That's exactly how we feel.
WENDY: Weirdly, when I found you, I... forgot about all our stuff. And I couldn't leave you there.
HOLLY: It's cos you're a good person.
WENDY (laughs): I don't know. I have my moments.
HOLLY: You're entitled to feel whatever you need to feel.
WENDY: Well, what I feel... is that you weren't entirely responsible for the breakdown of my marriage. That was on Andrew and I. Both of us. And I guess I have to own my part in that too.
Sadie looks a little uncomfortable at this analysis. Karl comes back in. Wendy says she was hoping to see Susan too, to apologise for not updating the history book. Karl says Susan understands.
WENDY: So, how are you feeling about the future?
KARL: Apparently it's an open book.
SADIE: I think it's funny that Paul and Shane just assume that we're gonna pick one of their options. We could literally live somewhere else altogether.
KARL (regretfully): We could.
SADIE: There's a whole wide world outside of Ramsay Street.
HOLLY (smiling): Is there? No (!)
Sadie smiles back.
Harold's Café
Andrew explains to Leo and Krista how Felix came over to his place last night and they spent a lot of time chatting. Leo says they both went through pretty big ordeals yesterday.
ANDREW (to Krista): Thank you so much for being there for Hol. She told me a few things that you suggested, too.
KRISTA: There's no right or wrong way to grieve; I just said some thoughts that helped me.
Krista stands up and gives Andrew a spontaneous hug. He thanks her again, and heads off. Leo asks if Krista's okay; she says she's just tired, but he points out that's been the case for the last couple of days. She puts it down to 'admin fatigue' from all the fostering paperwork they've been filling in. Leo says it'll hopefully ease now they have their appointment booked in.
KRISTA: Is it weird that I'm excited?
LEO: Not at all.
Paul comes in, and Krista looks a bit annoyed and heads off to lie down.
PAUL: I hope she's not taking this personally.
LEO: Well, her whole livelihood's just been turned upside down.
PAUL: Oh, Leo - I honestly think that Krista's best bet is to sell up as well.
LEO: Yeah, maybe it's best we just park the topic for today, yeah?
Paul agrees, and asks Leo what he's doing this afternoon.
PAUL: I've got another plan, and this one's for Terese.

Susan is sitting at the table, staring at the history book, while Holly sits on the sofa. Karl is making tea, and says it was nice of Wendy and Sadie to come by.
HOLLY: Yeah. Made me feel like I had my friend back for a minute.
KARL: Yeah. Did they give any indications of their plans?
HOLLY: Only that they want to stay together no matter what happens.
Karl asks how the history book is going. Susan reports that the Varga- Murphys 'wrote some lovely things' as did Jane, and that Colton has started a page for the sharehouse.
KARL: Ha. How many incarnations of that have there been?
SUSAN: Only updates missing are the Rodwells and us.
KARL: Mm. I remember a time when you had difficulty knowing what to write in that book.
SUSAN: Here we are again.
A poignant piano cue begins on the underscore.
SUSAN: I just can't accept it.
KARL: I know.
SUSAN: We've always said all roads lead to Ramsay Street. There *has* to be a Ramsay Street. There just has to.
All three of them look sad, as the piano melody swells into a very familiar theme. On her phone, Holly appear to be looking at photos of the site where Shane's Ramsay Hills is to be developed...
Lassiter's Lake
Sadie and Wendy are out for a walk. Sadie queries what Wendy meant when she talked about owning her part in the collapse of her marriage.
SADIE: You know none of that is your fault, right?
WENDY: Yeah, I've just been thinking a lot about the time when, well, I accused him of having an affair and he wasn't.
SADIE: You were just seeing into the future, okay?
WENDY: Or it was my own insecurities, making it a self- fulfilling prophecy.
SADIE: No, Mum. You did not make him have an affair.
WENDY: Yeah, I know that. And I know that's on him. And I'm not excusing it. But it takes a lot of cracks to break a marriage, Sadie. I'm not gonna blame them all on him. You know, it's not honest, and I have a lot of regrets too.
They look across the lake, where Andrew is sitting alone in the rotunda.
WENDY: You know, he's still your dad.
But Sadie isn't quite there yet, and suggests they head off in a different direction. Wendy briefly waits and looks over towards Andrew, but then quickly follows Sadie.
At the rotunda, Andrew is looking at the ultrasound image of the baby, looking sad.
Nearby, Leo is surprised to find Krista out and about - he thought she was having a lie down. Krista is looking sombre.
LEO: Are you okay?
KRISTA: Not really... I thought I'd do it as a precaution. Just in case.
LEO: Do what as a precaution?
KRISTA: There were a couple of tests in the drawer. Both of them were positive. I'm pregnant.
