No.22 Backyard
Terese isn't quite sure what to say and hastily does up the bottle. Terese claims it's a one off, Prue wants to know if this explains her absence from the family meeting. Terese points out she has been put under pressure but claims to be coping. Prue thinks that Terese is being controlled by her addiction. Terese explains she goes to AA meetings. Prue realises she is the only one who knows this information! Terese repeats that this is a one off occurrence.
TERESE: I don't want my family to worry for no reason.
Prue promises to keep quiet and suggests that Terese can recover with Harlow returning to London. Prue doesn't think Terese is able to look after Harlow.
No.26
Kyle is working on the laptop when Amy comes into the room. She points out it's getting late and he was meant to stay over so they could actually have time together. They don't seem to see each other with everything going on. Kyle tells her that the UK is able to respond now it's night time. Amy doesn't think Toadie is up, Kyle reports that Toadie has been in touch via e-mail. They are busy keeping ahead of Paul who has taken down all their posters.
Amy encourages him to come to bed as Sheila arrives to find out what's going on. Amy tells her what's happening, Sheila will be glad when all this is over! Kyle just wants everyone to get a good deal. Sheila points out that lots of customers have been scared away. Gary arrives and also can't get to sleep. Sheila doesn't want the Class Action stuff in her own home. Kyle thought Sheila would be understanding! Gary thought he's being loud about it in the middle of the night. Amy suggests he goes home to work on it, Kyle agrees and leaves.
No.22
It's now the next morning and Prue, Harlow, Paul and Terese are sitting at the table. Prue keeps looking at Terese meaningfully. Paul wants to have the meeting now. Harlow thinks it might not be a good time but Paul reassures her that this is an important matter. Paul tells Harlow that they're not keen for her to go back to London as they enjoy having her here. Prue thinks they can't offer Harlow support and stability which she can have in London. Paul agrees that they've been concentrating on other things. He apologises and promises that they won't let it happen again.
PRUE: Harlow can't wait around for you to get your act together.
Prue tells them that Harlow has permission to return to her old school the following week. Paul thinks that Prue is being reckless and making Harlow's decisions for her. Prue thinks that negativity, crime, scandal and broken promises are filling the home. Paul points out that Harlow was allowed to come and live with strangers! Harlow firmly tells them to stop doing this and asks for Terese's opinion. Terese tells her that they need to think a lot about where Harlow is going to live. Terese tells Harlow that it's understandable Harlow should be with her Mum. Prue agrees that Terese is agreeing this as a fellow mother. Paul doesn't look pleased!
No.22 Backyard
Paul points out they were meant to agree on this matter! Terese reminds him to be quiet as Harlow and Prue are inside. Terese claims she's not on Prue's side, she wants Harlow to live with them. Paul can understand that Harlow is being persuaded but can't believe that Terese is being persuaded as well! Terese points out that Harlow has to be the one to decide and it's ok to make the choice to be with Prue if that's her choice. Paul doesn't like being ambushed so wishes Terese had told him before now. Terese apologises, Paul accepts and they hug. Terese points out if there's tension between them it will give Prue more ammunition!
No.30
Toadie races to check his phone when it beeps. He tells Shane he's not impressed to receive a bill for Sonya's Foundation. He's hoping that the Class Action payout will be good! Kyle arrives raring to go! Toadie asks him if he was able to sleep very much the night before. Kyle was spending time instead e-mailing their clients and thinking how things would go in court.
KYLE: Can't wait to knock Paul in the closing argument.
Toadie tells him he can't make the closing arguments as he's not a lawyer. Kyle claims he already knew that! Toadie wants to know how Amy is finding being stuck in the middle. She's not thrilled about this. Toadie reminds him that Amy is his priority, he doesn't want the case to get in the middle of them. Kyle shrugs it off and heads outside.
SHANE: Might need to keep an eye on Erin Brockovich there.
No.24 Backyard
Prue is doing a chant connected to The Order. Prue hears a noise and hides the book. Harlow comes outside. Harlow has had a good walk. Prue has got so into the idea of them being together again and thinks that it became too personal inside. Prue reminisces about the time they lived by the beach one summer. Even though it was freezing they swum every day. Harlow admits that she thought things would happen differently when Prue first arrived. Prue would make a great big fuss, then move off after getting bored. Prue promises she has changed now. Harlow hopes that is the truth. When Harlow thinks back, it was good. Prue promises they can have more good days. Harlow admits that she needs Prue so Terese was right. Prue suggests that Harlow comes to London.
The Waterhole
Sheila is reading behind the bar as the place is so quiet! Toadie comes in to order a coffee. Toadie comments that the book must be engrossing as she's deep into it. Sheila coolly agrees that it is keeping her busy as he is the reason there are hardly any customers! Toadie points out that the hidden camera scandal was the reason. Sheila tells him that it would have quietened down if the Class Action hadn't happened. Now she will have to let staff go. Toadie is sorry that is necessary but points out that if he hadn't done it another lawyer would have taken on the case. Sheila suggests he goes to Harold's Café for coffee then reminds him Dipi isn't happy with him either.
Paul arrives and offers to buy the coffee, Toadie refuses the offer. Paul has heard that Sonya's Foundation is low on funds so offers Toadie a donation in an envelope. Toadie refuses the donation. Paul tells him it's a big donation. Toadie still refuses and leaves.
No.26
Prue and Gary are in the kitchen. Prue tells Gary that things finally seem to be on the up. Gary tells Prue she is a great Mum. Amy has arrived and looks a bit awkward to see Prue and Gary kissing. Amy refuses a coffee as she's meeting Elly and looking forward to talking to someone unconnected to the lawsuit! Prue agrees and tells her that she should keep in the positivity. Amy just nods! Gary thinks that Amy is in the dark. Prue tells him that she would need to travel through the darkness to get to the dark. This is one of the things from The Order. Prue tells Gary that Harlow doesn't know she is still a member. Gary thinks she's going to tell her before heading to London. Prue claims to do what is best in Harlow's interests. Gary would like to visit if that is ok with Prue. Prue is agreeable as she thinks it's not time to say farewell yet. Gary searches for one way flights to London for Prue as soon as the next day.
No.22
Harlow isn't impressed to be put under pressure as Prue has booked flights for the next day. Paul and Terese have overheard this. Harlow explains that Gary got a deal that is last minute. Prue explains that she hasn't got a lot of money and there wasn't long to be able to take advantage of the deal. As she's saved money they can get a flat for when Harlow returns to school. Paul tells Prue firmly he's happy to contribute to the airfare if that's what Harlow decides. Terese wants to know how Harlow feels about this. Harlow tells them she needs more time to make a decision. Prue reminds her that time is of the essence as she got cheap flights for the next day.
TERESE: Because she's probably not ready! Surely you can see this is so sudden.
Prue apologises as Terese has a lot of stress already. Prue thinks it's time to take over again. Terese agrees that Harlow is able to make that decision. Harlow tells them she will decide later the same day.
Harold's Café
Amy is fed up with all this and people are taking sides. Elly points out that she's in the middle of everything. Amy tells Elly that they don't realise she's stuck in the middle as they're too focused on what's going on. Amy apologises as Elly has a lot to deal with. Elly reports she's ok and wants to concentrate on things that are positive and she's in charge of. Elly knows that's not so easy for Amy who agrees she's not in charge of anything. Kyle's working hours are mad at the Tram and with Toadie as well. Their love life isn't as good!
ELLY: You're doing all the emotional labour and he's butting heads with your Dad.
Elly advises Amy she needs to be honest with Kyle about the way he's carrying on.
No.26
Gary is surprised that Prue has already booked the flights and points out she can't get a refund. Prue tells him it was a good deal and Harlow will make the right decision. Gary is pleased they've sorted things out but admits he wanted to spend more time with her. They agree their connection is strong and kiss. She tells him that thanks to meeting him she's had a special time. She suggests they make the most of the time left and give her a good send off!
No.22
Terese comes into the sunroom where Harlow is looking at photos of her and her friends on the laptop. She pauses over a photo of Prue. Terese looks at a bottle of Jack Daniels and comes and sits next to Harlow. Harlow closes the laptop and hasn't made a decision yet.
TERESE: You're the only person I can trust to give me an honest opinion.
She wants to know if it's a mad idea to return to London. Terese wants to know what Harlow wants deep down. Harlow points out that Prue promises she has changed and Harlow thinks she believes it. Prue seems to be settled and concentrating on Harlow more. Terese advises Harlow to do what's best for herself. London is where home is though Harlow loves it here. Harlow wants to know what Terese thinks. Terese tells Harlow she has enough maturity to make that decision herself. It will be the best whatever she chooses. She will always be a member of their family and she's loved by Terese and Paul.
Harold's Café
Kyle comes to join Amy and orders a hot drink. He got a message from her requesting an important chat. Amy starts to talk as Kyle gets a text about the Class Action. He gets another text from the same woman, Kyle can't reveal her name as a privilege as a lawyer. Amy reminds him he's not a lawyer! Kyle starts talking about what happened. Amy tries to talk again as the woman texts again. Amy wants him to deal with it later on. Kyle tells her that he needs to support the woman. Amy tells him she needs his support as well. Kyle promises her he will support her, she doesn't get that impression! Kyle looks at another text as Amy leaves. He tries to stop her but she is keeps going.
No.26
Gary and Prue come out of the bedroom, they both agree that 'it' was amazing plus Gary's usual moves! Gary plans to come to London, Prue realises the Tram keeps him busy! Gary will find time to visit and put it on the credit card. Gary might consider moving there which would impress Xanthe who would enjoy a white Christmas. Prue thinks Harlow and Xanthe would get on and is going to check if Harlow is joining her in London. Gary suggests talking to Harlow about how The Order has helped him. Prue reassures him she can handle this but will come for help if needed. Gary blows Prue a kiss as she leaves.
Toadie's Office
Toadie is working as Shane comes off the phone. Shane explains he was talking to Kirsha who sends her love. Kirsha is settling in at her grandparents' house. Shane is missing her a lot and Dipi is finding it tough. Shane hands Toadie a note he found under the No.30 door. It's a donation cheque from Paul for Sonya's Foundation. Toadie shows Shane the amount which surprises Shane. Shane realises it's a bribe which Toadie agrees with. Toadie offered to support the victims, Shane reminds him it's a lot of money. The money Toadie would get from the lawsuit is less than the amount on the cheque.
TOADIE: That's enough to keep the Foundation running for years.
SHANE: The money would change everything. (Toadie stares at the cheque.)
Ramsay Street
Kyle admits to Amy that he hasn't been a good boyfriend. He promises after the Class Action things will return to how they were before. Kyle promises for now he will make time for her every day. They kiss and agree to go back to No.30.
Toadie calls to Paul to return the cheque.
TOADIE: I'm not for sale.
Kyle and Amy have come over and Amy sighs in frustration. Paul explains he tried to make a donation and Toadie explains it's a bribe. Kyle isn't impressed that Paul is just trying to throw money at the situation. Paul wants to know why they're trying to get a larger settlement through legal action. Kyle reminds him they are after justice which Paul is ignorant about. Amy leaves and Kyle follows her.
TOADIE: You're making everyone else suffer. You are getting sued.
Paul gets a text and looks at it.
No.22
Prue, Harlow and Terese are sitting around the table. Paul has arrived home as the text requested he did just that. Harlow has some news. Harlow has thought everything through.
HARLOW: I'm moving back to London with Mum.
Prue looks rather smug. Harlow tells them how much she loves them. She thinks Terese is correct that it is right she and Prue are together. Paul reiterates that they love Harlow too and her happiness is what they wish for. Paul suggests a farewell dinner. Prue stays behind as the others head into the Backyard. Prue rings someone and happily tells them that she and Prue are heading back to London tomorrow. She hasn't told Harlow yet what's going on.
PRUE: Once she's under your influence she'll be one of us.
Prue tells the person she'll be in touch when they reach England.
