Lassiters complex
Paige and Elly are tired from a workout. Paige asks how Mark is doing but Elly honestly doesn't know. Paige recalls how he retreats into himself; Elly shouldn't take it personally. Dipi is putting the flowers outside the café and Paige suddenly notices the statue has gone. Paige thinks she knows exactly who did it!

Number 28
Karl and Shane are discussing the giant durian when Paige and Elly burst in and accuse him of stealing the statue.

KARL: I was home all night, wasn't I, Susan?
SUSAN: I did hear you get up.
PAIGE: See! All the evidence is pointing to you, Karl!

Karl gets a phone call; an emergency committee meeting has been called about the statue.

Number 26 back yard
Gary and Terese discuss Sheila thinking she's moving in with them and Terese pretends to be OK with. Sheila appears with the coffee.

SHEILA: The more I think about it the more I think it's a really great idea. I'll have to take Frank's ashes with me of course but he'll make a wonderful centrepiece for your living room! We'll pop him somewhere where everyone can see him as they come in!

Sheila suggests Terese can use her exercise bike. She goes back in for the milk and Gary says he can't do it! Terese is relieved; there's no way she can live with them. But how are they going to tell her? Terese gets a call from Paige about the statue.

Community centre
Sonya arrives for the meeting and Toadie tells Dipi that they almost kissed last night. Councillor Simmons announces they've decided Karl should stand down from the liveability committee. Karl protests his innocence but Paige is insistant. Karl looks to Shane for support but Shane remains quiet. Sonya tells Toadie that he's a shoe-in for the committee head.

Terese's office
Terese finishes a phone call to Mr. Udagawa, telling him he will love her plans for the revamp. Paul comes in and enquires about her treatment. He thinks it's time to send Nick packing but Terese thinks he's changed. Paul doesn't want to see Amy's heart broken again and they have an exchange laced with double meaning.

TERESE: Maybe they're actually good for each other.
PAUL: Oh, they could not be more different.
TERESE: You know what, sometimes different is good. Sometimes that's what makes it work. If people are too similar there's no one to give another perspective.
PAUL: You know what, people don't change. They might convince themselves that they do but they can only deny what they really want for so long.

Robinsons Motel
It's back to meetings in the store room which appears to have had a bit of a revamp. Steph tells Amy and Nick she has to get three valuations in order to buy Paul and Leo out. They may need to raise more money through donations or private investment. Paul arrives and Nick takes his cue to leave, followed by Amy. Steph tells Paul he needs to try and tolerate Nick, or does he want to lose his daughter?

Waterhole
Gary reminds Sheila how much she loves her house and asks if she really wants to give it up but Sheila is adamant that it's fine and she has ideas for Terese's kitchen. Gary makes it clear that she's not invited. Sheila says it was silly of her to assume and claims it's fine but she's clearly upset.

Lassiters Hotel
Paul arrives at Nick's room, waving his cheque book, and tells him to name his price for him to leave. Nick says he's not all about blind ambition any more. He knows Paul is only looking out for Amy but he hopes in time Paul will see that so is he.

Community centre
Toadie wonders if he and Sonya should come clean because Karl was devastated but Sonya wants Toadie to be the committee head so they can forget about the stinking fruit and get back to things that matter! However, Paige announces that Shane is the new head of the committee. Toadie and Sonya look stunned while Shane makes his acceptance speech. Through him, Karl's dreams will bear fruit!

Lassiters Hotel
Sheila catches Terese and says that Gary has told her she's not included in the move. She claims to be fine about it but lays a guilt trip on Terese.

SHEILA: You two need your space and far be it from me to intrude. And I knew that it would always come to me being a burden.
TERESE: Oh, Sheila.
SHEILA: No, no, no, I'm fine. As long as I don't slip and break my hip and be laying there with no-one to hear my cries for help! I suppose I could always buy one of those medical alarm things, you know; very expensive though. It's funny, I've never lived alone since Frank passed, but one will probably get used to the loneliness. And I'd hate you to feel like you were taking my family away from me. Anyway I need get back to work; they still have a use for me there!

Karl comes in and pleads with Terese to speak to the council about the accusation against him but Terese ignores him and gets into the elevator.

Terese's office
Gary is in Terese's office when she bursts in and offloads about his mother guilt-tripping her.

GARY: Here, come and sit with me. A little couch time might help you unwind.
TERESE: No, no, no, I hate that couch! In fact, I asked Paige to deal with it. I don't know why she hasn't.

Gary offers to talk to Sheila so long as Terese promises not to take on too much today. Paige arrives as Gary leaves and Terese has a go at her for not having dealt with the couch yet.

PAIGE: Terese, it's a couch!
TERESE: It's not just a couch. It's the couch that I slept with Paul on just before my engagement party!

Paige looks stunned. Terese explains that Paul understands the cancer scare the importance of her work is. She insists she loves Gary and nothing will happen with Paul again. Paige tells her to keep it a secret. Terese feels guilty but Paige says it would destroy Gary. Going into a marriage with this secret isn't ideal but one bad decision doesn't make her a bad person. Paige looks at the couch and agrees it has to go!

Harold's Café
Sheila is talking to Dipi in the kitchen who tells her to look this as a new chapter; she's about to have a bachelorette pad with a hot tub and all that new furniture. Sheila says the furniture is faulty and was expensive so she's going to need lodgers. Dipi suggests she give Clive a call in the meantime but Sheila thinks that ship has sailed. Dipi tells her he's just one of many.

Nick and Amy come in for food for a picnic. Nick wants to celebrate Terese's support for the centre. Jack and Steph come in with Gabe and Jack offers Nick his help with fundraising.

Number 30
Toadie and Sonya arrive home and Sonya worries that Shane is going to be worse than Karl. They're going to have to go on another midnight mission to get rid of the statue. Toadie asks if they're going to talk about the almost kiss. Sonya says her heart has been closed off but she's starting to open up again. Toadie takes her hand and kisses it.

SONYA: No one makes me laugh the way you do anyway.
TOADIE: Yeah, no one makes me laugh the way I do too!
SONYA: Oh, shut up!

They are about to kiss again when Shane bursts in to talk liveability with Sonya.

Terese's Office
Paige is measuring the couch as Amy has offered to take it to the charity store if it fits in her ute. Terese tells her that Mr. Udagawa is happy to forget about the statue theft and go ahead with the renovation of the complex. Sheila arrives to apologise to Terese for laying it on a bit thick earlier. She is interested in taking the couch because hers has got to go back to the factory for repair. She sits down and says how comfy the couch is, leaving Terese unsure where to look!

Lassiters Lake
Amy and Nick are sitting on the steps with champagne. Amy complains about Paul's long history of interfering in her relationships. Nick says he will have to try and prove Paul wrong. Luckily he has all the time in the world; he's not going anywhere as long as Amy is here. They kiss but Paul sees them from behind the trees and makes a phone call.

PAUL: Yeah, it's me. I've got a job I want you to do.

Unmissable Neighbours
- Mark comes to Nick's hotel room in police uniform
- Amy tells Nick to focus on getting through this; she promises to fix it
- Xanthe tells Sheila that Courtney keeps sending her out of the day spa when middle aged men come in
