Hospital
Gary tries to subtly quiz Nick on what he is up to, but he quickly closes his briefcase and heads off to make some urgent calls.

When Terese appears, Gary tries to talk to her about what he overheard, but she is in a hurry to get going as there is a storm brewing and Jasmine is due at Lassiters on an unscheduled visit. Gary thinks she should be going home to rest but she assures him she is feeling fine as with this new treatment she's not experiencing the same side effects.

TERESE: Look, I know we were hesitant about Nick at first but watching him in action, it's made me realise that we made the right decision.

She reassures Gary that Nick has kept to his 'hands off' agreement adding that things couldn't have gone smoother.

Lassiters Complex
There is a storm brewing and Paige makes sure that Gabe is warm and cosy even if she isn't... well until Jack comes along and gives her his jacket. She asks Jack if he can babysit (he can) as she's to head back into work.

Harold's café
As the pair head into the café, they discuss getting Gabe christened as it was something she was discussing with Lauren last week. Jack is still keen for it to happen but they just need to find a suitable date so that everyone can attend. Paige suggests David as a godparent, which Jack is happy with although the conversation suddenly stops when Jack spots Steph (and Sonya) having a cuppa at the other side of the café.

"What's going on with you and Steph?" a curious Paige wants to know and when Jack tells her they've split up, she is quick to say that she didn't want her actions to result in that. "It's not your fault, it's the best thing for everyone," he tries to reassure her with.

Lassiters Complex
The storm is starting to take hold as Terese walks from the carpark to her office.

The Waterhole
Gary interrupts Amy and Mishti's pool game to see if she's seen Nick since the other night (no) and then asks if she knows what his plans for Terese were (also no). Eventually she wants to know why he is asking questions, so he explains about the telephone conversation he overheard. Mishti tries to warn him off doing things off his own back (Gary wanted to somehow get into Nick's briefcase) and doesn't think there is enough evidence to get a warrant.

Terese's office
Paige reports to Terese that Jasmine is in the hotel and she's on the warpath although Paige doesn't think she really has anything to complain about. Terese gives Paige a list of things to action but before she can get going, Jasmine arrives in the office to know what her contingency plans are for a function given the storm. "It will be fine," Terese tries to reassure Jasmine with as Paige gets on the case to sort things out.

Harold's café
Its Sonya this time who is curious to know about the look exchanged between Steph and Jack when he came into the café. Steph tries to say that it was nothing, but Sonya isn't buying that and thinks perhaps that it was a "regret" look. "We definitely had fun," Steph tells her but given her baggage and issues, Jack would be better off with an ex-nun! Sonya tries to reassure her friend that Jack doesn't see her that way but Steph knows that Paige will never be comfortable with her being around Gabe. Both get where Paige is coming from (as she arrives to sit with Jack at the other side of the café) but Steph adds that she could be done "without the judgement."

SONYA: She just doesn't get it, okay, she just doesn't know how hard it's been to say goodbye to your kids.
STEPH: No, no she doesn't.

Both admit to feeling resentment at Paige - Steph for how easy she is coping, especially with Jack's support and Sonya because Paige has her baby and she doesn't. Reluctantly, Steph has to end their chat as she's got to go prepare for a meeting with Leo.

The Waterhole
"Don't go doing anything stupid," Mishti warns Amy when she heads off to talk to Nick after seeing him walk into the bar.

After the small talk, Nick is somewhat surprised that Amy is talking to him but she explains that everyone deserves a second chance. And with that, Nick tells her that he genuinely was only trying to apologise to her the other day, if he had known Paul was her father, he would have said something.

With it taking ages to get served, including the server ignoring them at the bar, Amy suggests they go to her place. Nick is happy with that and they agree to meet at the front to allow her to say bye to Mishti. When she goes over to do that, Mishti wants to know what she is doing. Amy explains that she needs to know what he is up to and doesn't plan on putting herself in danger, just finding out what Nick is up to.

Terese's office
Terese is up to her eyes in work when Gary decides she needs to know about the conversation Nick had. As he doesn't know the full story, she accuses him of being like Paul, and angrily he yells back that perhaps she'd prefer talking to him! "Come on, don't do this," she equally yells back at him and he knows why she confided in Paul and adds that they made a decision to trust Nick and "now's not the time to start second-guessing that."

GARY: I hope you're right.

Penthouse suite
Nick is reluctant to get out of the lift when he realises where Amy lives, but she reassures him that Paul won't be in otherwise she wouldn't have suggested it.

"Look, I was a really different person back then," Nick says after the conversation reaches the awkward stage when Amy says that most visitors are impressed with the view, which of course Nick is already familiar with. Amy suggests drinks and they make small talk about how things are going while she does that... and of course eyeing up his briefcase which he's put down on one of the sofas while sitting on the other.

Harold's café
As they seek shelter from the storm outside, Gary unloads onto Xanthe his woes with Terese. She reassures him that it will get better and he can always book Terese (or them both!) in for a massage.

A drenched Leo arrives (no brolly or jacket!) comes in and Mishti explains the summons - she is concerned about Amy inviting Nick to the penthouse to discover whether Nick is using Terese as a lab rat or not. Leo is more surprised at Mishti now being concerned than he is about Amy as he's just following instructions and trusting his sister although will be there if she needs help.

Penthouse suite
Amy returns with some wine and the pair sit chatting while she takes sly looks at his briefcase. Eventually she makes a distraction (spilling her wine) to get Nick out of the room so she can sneak a look inside his briefcase. She manages to find a file that obviously looks dodgy, and hides it behind a cushion.

Lassiters hotel foyer
Paige pushes the buggy into the lift and Steph manages to catch it seconds before the doors close. Steph's unaware of who was inside the lift but when she does, she volunteers to take the stairs to Leo's apartment. Paige says its fine and explains that it's the storm that is unsettling Gabe, not Steph being around him, so she pushes the button as they are both heading to the same place (she's heading to see David).

Penthouse suite
Nick thanks Amy for keeping an open mind about him but she explains she's been the topic of scandal too. She asks how Terese's treatment is going and is told it's too early to say yet but he's determined to do all he can so she beats it. He admits that he sometimes wonders if Terese thinks it's about him pursuing his career than saving her.

AMY: Any truth in that?
NICK: Terese is my sister. If anything happened to her, I'd be...be devastated.

Lift
Paige and Steph are both shocked when the lights flicker and then the lift suddenly grounds to a halt. Steph tries the emergency button but it too is not working.

Harold's café
It looks like it's the whole of Erinsborough has been hit by the power cut and not just the café as Gary and Xanthe continue their conversation by way of a lit candle. Since his phone is out, and he doesn't want to use Xanthe's one, she suggests he personally goes to apologise to Terese - "let her know how much you love her and that's the only reason why you were worried," she advises her dad. He isn't sure if that will be enough but she reassures him that "nothing says sorry like sorry!"

Meanwhile Mishti is concerned she can't get hold of Amy as she keeps rejecting her calls but Leo suggests that proves she is alive and well! Mishti offers him something dry to change into before he heads off for his meeting with Steph.

LEO: You just want me to get my gear off!
MISHTI: I'll try to control myself.

Terese's office
Gary arrives in Terese's office and before giving her a chance to talk, starts to talk.

GARY: Sorry, I didn't mean to make things worse for you than they already are. You're under so much stress, your cancer treatment, family, work...

Realising that she's not responded, he says "Terese" but it's not Terese he's been talking to but instead Jasmine!

Lift
Steph tells Paige that they could be here a while as the lift company reports the power outage is all over Erinsborough. "Great, and I'm claustrophobic at the best of times," Paige replies while getting Gabe out of his pram to comfort him. The poor toot is hungry but he won't latch on while she is standing and Paige resents Steph suggesting she sits down.

Number 30
Sonya is surprised to see Jack arrive at the house but he's passing on a message to let her know that Steph is stuck in the Lassiters lift with Paige and Gabe. He reassures her that they are all okay but admits he is worried given how things are between them and is wondering if she could check in with Steph. Sonya readily agrees to do that but thinks she'd like to hear from him too especially since he's obviously concerned enough to come out in the storm to talk to her. "I still care about her," he finally admits and Sonya suggests calling to tell her that but he doesn't want to push it.

Harold's café
Mishti reports to Terese that everything is fine in the café before handing Leo a spare set of clothes Shane keeps at the café in case of emergencies. Leo is happy to wear the dry clothes, even if they aren't exactly fashionable and Mishti tries her best not to look while he takes off his wet clothes.

Penthouse suite
Amy can't find any candles so Nick goes into his briefcase to get his phone but he then suddenly announces he's off (to go to the hospital) as a folder is missing even though he's sure he put it into his briefcase. "Is it that important?" she innocently asks and he replies yes - it's his research so it shouldn't be left lying around.

Nick then spots a folder hiding behind a cushion and Amy is quick to say that it's probably Paul's but he still wants a look... but he's not getting one as Amy quickly grabs it and tries to run away with it. Calmly, Nick asks what she is doing with his folder.

Lift
Gabe is very restless (the fake crying is back!) and Paige is struggling to settle him but rejects Steph asking if she can help.

STEPH: Look, I know why you don't want me around the baby Paige but we're stuck here, if I can help then.
PAIGE: (interrupting) No, you can't, its fine, thank you.

Gabe still isn't settling and bluntly Steph asks what it is Paige that thinks she will do [to Gabe] reminding her that she's settled him before.

PAIGE: You're the last person I want parenting advice from.

Steph can't believe what she's just heard and Paige apologises for how harshly it came out. "No, course you didn't," Steph sarcastically replies.

Penthouse suite
Amy wants to know the truth, she thinks he is hiding something about Terese's treatment and whatever it is, is in the folder. It then dawns on Nick the change in her and why she invited him to her place, however does add in that "it's not how it looks." Amy wants convincing on that point and why all the secrecy. Nick tries to tell her that he wants to help Terese beat her cancer and goes to get the folder from Amy's hands. She refuses to hand it over and eventually Nick has had enough of the games and goes to physically take it out of her hands. "Get away from me," she yells while hitting him over the head with a vase (the first thing that was handy beside where she was standing).

The vase connects with his head and he immediately falls unconscious to the floor. Amy looks worried at what she has done to him.
