Erinsborough Backpackers
Steph and Jack wake up, in bed together. Jack looks happier about it than Steph does.
STEPH: What time is it? I've barely slept.
JACK: Yep. You haven't!
They smile at each other, just as Leo comes upstairs, to investigate guest reports of weird noises coming from up here last night! He's amused to see Jack and Steph in bed together. Jack offers to make Steph breakfast, but she declines.
LEO: What, not even coffee? You guys look like you could use one!
STEPH: Leo, can you just get out, so I can get changed, please?
Steph hides with embarrassment under the duvet, while Jack looks incredibly pleased with himself.

Willow has her headphones on, and is writing a list of pros and cons as regards whether she should go to stay with her real dad, Fergus. Mishti tells Dipi about this, and how Toadie will find it hard if Willow goes, but Dipi's still being cold with Mishti after Yashvi confided in her.
Mishti goes to wake up the girls, just as Toadie comes in. He asks Dipi if it's okay for him to stay on at the house if Willow decides to live with Fergus; he doesn't fancy living in an apartment by himself. Dipi says he's always welcome, and Toadie joins Willow on the couch. She's struggling with her decision.
WILLOW: I like Fergus - and this probably sounds crazy, cos I just met him - but I felt really safe with him (...) And when I Skyped his wife and the twins, they seemed really nice, and I'd love to get to know everyone better (...) Me going would probably help things between you and Sonya.
TOADIE: ... Sonya and I both want what is best for you.
WILLOW: I don't even know what's best. I mean, it's easy enough to write it down, but still hard.
TOADIE: Take some more time. It'll come to you, okay?
Willow heads off to get ready for her nursery shift. Toadie looks worried.
Erinsborough Backpackers
Leo is talking to Jack about his night with Steph.
JACK: I like her; if it happens again I won't be complaining. But, you know, it's just a no-expectations, casual -
LEO: Yeah, but you're not built that way. Casual's not your style.
JACK: True. But I don't exactly know what my style is. This is all new to me. But I'd like the chance to see where it can go.
Leo suggests that Jack should talk to Steph to see where she stands.
JACK: I will. Thank you. You are starting to sound like me!
LEO: You're starting to *act* like me!
JACK: Alright. Well if you wake up tomorrow reciting passages from the Bible, then we'll start to worry!
Harold's Café
Dipi and Steph are having a gossip about last night too - Steph admits she hardly had any sleep at all.
STEPH: I slept with a friend. And yes, it was good. But at the same time I think it was a really bad idea.
DIPI: Not at all!
They high-five!
DIPI: This was a positive move. It's gonna lead to good things.
STEPH: Yeah? How do you know that?
DIPI: I just do! I know these things. And the feeling I get about this? It's very exciting!
STEPH: No, I think your crystal ball might be a bit out on this one.
DIPI: Hey, you said it yourself - you had fun.
STEPH: Yeah, I did, I know. But he's just so innocent. And inexperienced. And way, way younger than me.
DIPI: Sounds like what he needs is a worldly woman to take him in hand. Now where would we find someone like that?
STEPH: I just don't know that I want to have to teach someone. Although he was a very enthusiastic student!
DIPI: And she's still convinced there's no future in it?
STEPH: There's not. That's one thing I can promise you!
Sonya's Nursery
Sonya finds that Willow has turned up earlier than scheduled for her shift. She asks about Willow's meeting with Fergus; Willow explains that he wants her to be part of his family, and asked her to come and stay. Willow mentions the five-year-old twins he has, who are her sisters - and says it's always been her dream to be part of a big family. Sonya says they'd surely love having her around.
WILLOW: Maybe I'm just not worthy.
SONYA: Hey - hey. You are deserving of every good thing that happens to you, okay? I don't want you to ever forget that.
WILLOW: But then, what about Toadie? I'm gonna miss him so much, and I'm gonna miss you too.
SONYA: Well, if you want to stay, Jarrod will just - he'll move heaven and earth for you. Now what does your heart tell you to do?
No 32
Toadie is with Amy on the sofa, admitting how much he'll miss Willow if she leaves. She gives him a hug, and Willow walks in, seeing this and looking a little concerned. She's left work early because she needs to talk to Toadie; Amy leaves them to it.
WILLOW: If it's alright with Fergus and his family, I've decided to stay with them for a while. Like he offered. Just to see how it goes. I hope you understand.
Toadie puts on a brave face.
TOADIE: Of course I do. I think it's great that you are gonna get to know your family.
They hug; Toadie looks upset.
Outside the Community Centre
Sonya is reading through paperwork she's prepared for Erinsborough's entry in the Most Liveable Suburb competition, in preparation for her pitch to council members. Jack is with her, and Steph and Aaron turn up too. Sonya tells Steph off for yawning! Aaron correctly guesses that Sonya is nervous about the pitch, and assures her she'll smash this.
At that moment, a delegation of councillors arrives, including a Councillor Simmons. Tim Collins is also within the group, despite not being on the council anymore - and informs Sonya that the Community Centre, where the meeting was to be held, is closed for fumigation as of this morning! They'll have to reschedule and he's not sure that's going to be possible due to busy schedules.
Sonya suggests that, since they councillors are all here anyway, they can show them the pitch rather than talking them through it.
TIM COLLINS: Well, if it's okay, I'd love to come too.
SONYA: Well, I'd love you to be there (!)
Erinsborough Greenway
Sonya, along with deputies Jack, Aaron and Steph, is showcasing a grassy area replete with trees to the councillors - one of several that she explains has been planted around Erinsborough to give residents outdoor spaces to enjoy. She adds that she bought the trees for this area when she was still mayor.
TIM COLLINS: Were you drunk at the time? Oh, I'm sorry - that's pretty much a given, isn't it?
Steph intervenes, by saying that even after Sonya lost her position as mayor, she paid for all the trees out of her own pocket and donated them to the cause. Sonya is sure the trees will impress the competition judges and locals alike.
TIM COLLINS: Or, we just call it for what it is - an obvious attempt to regain favour with the council and community.
CLLR SIMMONS: Motive aside, this is a great addition to Erinsborough's recreational spaces.
SONYA: Thank you. I knew it was gonna be a challenge convincing people, but it's lucky I'm up for challenges, eh?
Sonya trails the next highlight of the tour - Erinsborough's latest fitness facility!
AARON: I hope you guys are ready to sweat, huh? Follow me!

Toadie, Amy and Mishti are busy decorating the house for a farewell party for Willow, and Dipi turns up with cake. Willow says they didn't have to go to so much trouble.
TOADIE: Yes we did - this is Ramsay Street!
AMY: Yeah. No-one leaves without a proper send-off!
*Cough* Chris *cough* Kyle *cough* Nate *cough*. Anyhow, Willow gets emotional and Toadie tells her not to cry - this might not be permanent. Meanwhile, Dipi still appears to be annoyed with Mishti about the Yashvi situation, although she denies it.
DIPI: It's not always about you, Mishti.
Ben turns up - he's heard that Willow is leaving today. She admits it was hard coming to a decision, but that it's the right thing to do.
WILLOW: Even though there's so many people I'm gonna miss. And since I'm leaving... I always thought that something might happen between us. That's crazy, yeah?
BEN: I was actually kind of thinking the same thing.
WILLOW: Really?
BEN: Yeah. I think I was just taking time with it, and making sure I was properly over Xanthe. But I did think, maybe in the future...
WILLOW: Thanks for telling me.
They hug, while Amy and Toadie watch in the background.
Harold's Café
Steph has taken a break from the competition pitch for a caffeine fix, as she tells Jack when he comes in - after their exertions last night! She's awkward around him, and Jack says it needn't be this weird. She admits she does feel a little strange about it. Jack suggests they catch up later on, just to talk about things. She agrees.
Lassiter's Complex
Sonya continues with her competition pitch to the councillors. Councillor Simmons is looking pleased with it all, and Tim Collins has a face like thunder, suggesting it's going well.
Sonya says she needs the council's financial backing to make it all happen. Tim Collins intervenes to imply it's not a good use of funds, but Sonya replies that they would be investing in the community and would also have a good chance of winning the $100,000 prize money for the municipality.
CLLR SIMMONS: We're all agreed. We'll secure the mayor's support. But not with you running it, I'm afraid.
SONYA: Sorry, I don't understand.
CLLR SIMMONS: A disgraced ex-mayor spearheading something this high-profile - it's not a good look.
Sonya and her acolytes look upset.

The party is drawing to a close, and Toadie tells Willow they need to make a move.
WILLOW: I think we should get this over with. Because I don't know how I'm even gonna thank you, let alone say goodbye.
TOADIE: Right. Well, then, maybe we should save it up - because I'm coming with you!
WILLOW: Are you serious?
TOADIE: Yeah. Do you really think I'm just gonna send you on a plane without making sure that you're settled in first? No, I want to meet Fergus's wife, and these two twin girls.
WILLOW: You're the best - you really are. I was scared when I told you that I'd be staying with them. That you'd...
TOADIE: What? Stop caring about you?
WILLOW: I meant it, in London, when I said I wished you were my real dad.
TOADIE: And I meant it when I said that I wish I was, too. I'm here for you whenever you need me.
WILLOW: I love you, Toadie.
TOADIE: I love you too, Flying Fish.
It's time to head to the airport, but Willow says she has one more goodbye to say first...

Willow is with Sonya and Nell, saying her farewells. She says she might be back before too long, and Sonya says they could come and visit if not. Sonya sends Nell next door to fetch a picture she's drawn of Willow.
WILLOW: You've been so good to me, and I know that I didn't deserve any of it.
SONYA: Willow, you did. You do. You deserve every happiness. Please don't make me say it again, sweetie!
WILLOW: Even though I was a part of destroying your life?
SONYA: There were a lot of us that contributed to that. All of us a lot older than you are. So please, don't take that on board, okay?
Sonya goes to hug Willow, saying how much she's enjoyed getting to know her.
WILLOW: I don't know if I should be saying this - I dunno if it's my place, but...
SONYA: What?
WILLOW: If you love Toadie as much as I think you do, and you want him back, just... don't take too long. I mean, I've seen him and Amy together. Nothing's happened, but I think Amy likes him. Just be careful. You deserve every happiness too. That's all I'm saying.
Sonya is taken aback by this revelation.
Erinsborough Backpackers
Jack arrives with Gabriel in his pram. Steph shows up.
JACK: Are you really that horrified about what happened last night?
STEPH: No!
JACK: I might've got my signals wrong, but I thought we both had a bit of fun.
STEPH: Well, I won't argue with that. But we just need to be really clear about the fact that it's not gonna happen again.
JACK: Why not?
STEPH: Jack, come on!
JACK: And I know I'm no expert, but surely we can continue to have fun and just see where it goes?
STEPH: I don't want to complicate my life.
JACK: Yeah, neither do I. But we don't have to. If we just stay open and honest about how we feel, surely we won't get into too much trouble.
STEPH: I can't believe I'm actually being talked into this!
Jack lunges in as if going for another kiss.
JACK: Yes? Maybe?
STEPH: Okay, okay - let's see where it goes.
Just as they connect for the kiss, Jack gets a text from Leo, wanting him to collect some backpackers from the airport. Jack asks Steph if she can look after Gabriel while he does it. Steph asks if Paige would be happy with that; Jack says that she lets Piper look after him all the time, so doesn't see why not. Steph agrees, and Jack leaves.
The Waterhole
Amy on her phone, looking happily at video of her and Toadie from the party. Elly shows up and sees the video over her shoulder, correctly guessing that Toadie is the friend Amy had a moment with.
AMY: Was I that obvious? (...)
ELLY: Well, the puppy-dog eyes were a bit of a giveaway.
Elly says Toadie is a great guy - there's nothing weird about liking him. She concedes it's complicated...
ELLY: ... but if Sonya keeps pushing him away, Toadie will have to move on eventually. Hey, relax - you haven't acted on your feelings yet. And it's not so crazy to think that one day, once things settle down, maybe...
AMY: I couldn't ever do that to Sonya.
ELLY: I dunno. See, part of me thinks that Sonya would be happy to see him with someone who's such a good match.
Amy looks uncertain.
No 30
Sonya and Aaron raise an orange juice toast to their partial victory over the liveability competition, and he compliments the new paintwork - saying Amy's done a good job. Sonya goes quiet, and hesitantly tells Aaron what Willow said before she left about Amy possibly liking Toadie. Aaron is taken aback.
AARON: Even if that is true, and I don't think it is, I'm assuming that it's bothering you?
SONYA: Well, yeah. I mean, our marriage ended only three months ago, Aaron.
AARON: Yeah, well - if it's not her, it's gonna be someone else. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but Son, there's really no avoiding it. Sooner or later, another woman is gonna come into the picture, and Toadie is going to move on. You just have to decide whether you want to keep Toadie in your life for good or not.
Sonya looks thoughtful.
Erinsborough Backpackers
Steph is dozing off on the sofa, and is awakened by Gabe making noises in his pram. She goes over and talks to him for a while - then suddenly has a flashback.
It's May 2013 (Episode 6649), when the backpackers' was still the Men's Shed. Steph is holding baby Patrick, Lucas Fitzgerald and Vanessa Villante's son. She is in the midst of a psychotic episode, having kidnapped Patrick, believing him to be her son, Adam.
Lucas (who we hear but don't see) has tracked her down to the Men's Shed, and is playing into her delusion to get Patrick back, pretending he wants him, Steph and 'Adam' to be a family.
LUCAS: Why don't you put Adam down and give me a hug?
STEPH: Oh, we're going to be so happy!
Steph snaps back into the present, and looks down at the pram. Gabriel smiles back at her; but in her head, a child's voice says 'mama, mama'. Steph looks worried.
